New Years Eve in Philippines is NOT WHAT WE EXPECTED!

I cannot tell you guys how happy I am to be back, not doing this, filling up an ice tray, but to be back in the gym regularly working out. After, if you saw the video where I spoke about my kind of medical update, I guess, you would have seen that I haven't been in the gym for what ended up being over two weeks, which was hard for us because we had got into such a good routine. We got into a structure. Every morning we were going to the gym and working out really well. We're in a very good eating schedule. We're in a very good health thing. We're getting back on that for January. Comment below if you are going to make health and fitness a priority in January because we are here. We're doing it together, guys. We're ready. I am, for the first time in a while, making a protein shake. We've still got this sat down here. This is a protein we use, if you're wondering. Had a few questions about it. We get it from Fit Alpha, which is our friend's company here in Manila. I can't quite believe that it's nearly New Year. It's nearly the end of 2020, nearly the end of the year that people are going to be speaking about forever. This year will be the one, remember, that changed everything, I think, in our lifetime, in our generation, in our... Think about it. People will be learning about 2020 in history books, just as we learn about other huge moments in human history. It is New Year's coming up, guys. Comment below right now. There's not going to be these huge gatherings. I don't know if London is doing the usual thing near Big Ben and the fireworks and thousands of people gathering. I doubt that's on. I know here in Manila, in BGC, none of the usual celebrations are happening, as far as I'm aware. Comment... What was that? This place is falling to pieces. Oh, I just dropped the shell in. It's absolutely brilliant having a sofa as a desk. Isn't it? It means I can come and sit while George is doing nothing. I can come and sit and chat to you guys. Doing nothing? So, I am going to share with you guys some of our New Year's Eve plans now. We have had some little last minute plans with... Sorry about that. The memory card had no memory. Not a very good memory card, is it? That's really annoying. You're so heavy. Be flexible. I'm not that flexible. What was I saying? Oh, yeah, we were going to spend it with Mike and Ellie anyway, whatever we did, but we didn't have any plans. We actually were thinking of just heading to their place or having a bit of a chilled one because we had such a good time over Christmas, like watching movies and stuff, but... I'm just posting an Instagram photo, but it's revealing by accident the new sofa. It doesn't matter because you said the captions don't ask why, so it doesn't matter. So, before this vlog goes out, you don't mind it going on my Instagram that there's a new sofa? No one's going to zoom in and realise, and if they do, that's lucky they haven't seen Ellie. It's a little Easter egg. Yeah. We had a little opportunity come up where we can actually go and stay with some of Mike and Ellie's friends in Batangas, and it's in Lipa, and it's in a really nice hotel, and we're going to celebrate there. I'm not sure what's in store for us. I'm not sure what we're going to be getting up to. I think it's going to be a bit of a chilled one, but it should be really nice celebrating with them, having some drinks, probably, some good food, and who knows what else, but we'll be celebrating the New Year coming in, and we will be vlogging it for you guys, obviously. Of course, there'll be an actual New Year's Eve, New Year's Day vlog coming soon on the channel. How nice would it be waking up on the first day of the New Year in the countryside, surrounded by nature? Oh yeah, that'd be lovely. It's like a new start. It's fresh. We have so many plans for the coming year, guys. I'm so excited to share them with you soon, but yeah, we're excited for New Year's this year. It's a bit different. It's our first New Year's Eve in the Philippines, and I can't wait. It's going to be different. It's going to be fun. It's going to be cool to check out a new place. I don't know if we've been to Lipa before. Maybe we've driven through it. It's our first ever New Year's. Yeah, exactly. That's what I mean. Normally, in the UK, we go to ... Why am I so overexposed? This is what I mean, George. This is not right. Normally, in England, we find a party to go to, basically, don't we? Yeah. Normally, a few people we know will have a party, or at least one will have a party, and we'll go to it. We've been out before. We've been out clubbing on New Year's. We've been to bars and had a night there. We've had house parties. I don't think we've ever had a chilled one. I don't think we've ever just been at home watching TV. I don't think we've ever done that together. I think this will be our eighth New Year's together, which is crazy. The eggs are burning. Okay, breakfast is served. I've got kale. I've got tomato. I've got avocado on sourdough, and I've got a fried egg. We're going to sit and enjoy it with an episode of Stay Here, is it? I'm going to eat, and then I'm going to tell you guys about it because it's quite a good new series we've found. Just writing out our little pack list for our Batangas trip. My voice went weird then. We have a parcel that's arrived from Bungalow Cafe. They sent me a DM on Instagram and said, we have a little holidays gift for you and George. You guys know we go there all the time, probably once every two weeks. Would you say? Probably more on average. Yeah, two or three times a month. We're very good customers. We always go there, and they sent us a little gift, so I'm going to show you guys really what we got. It looks so nice already. Dear George and Lucy, that doesn't say dear. I just made that up. Wow, so we have a banana walnut wheat loaf, which George will die over. It looks amazing. We've got a cranberry walnut sourdough. We've got some, I think these are bagels. Yeah, some bagels. Some panda cocoa, amazing. Some homemade ricotta, some pistachio nut butter. Oh my God. Oh my God. I've been wanting to try this for so long. We just kind of made it a little bit cloudy, but look at these buildings around us. This is literally one of our favourite rooftops to come to. Stunning views all around. You can see like planes taking off and landing over there and like mountains. And then behind here, all the way around us. Look at that. City views, city views. This is the Cedar or Seder. Did we get told it was Seder? Cedar or Seder hotel. Rooftop bar. You can come up just for a drink. You need temperature, etc. Facial mask. It's really windy up here tonight. It's not usually this windy, but what a way to end the evening and the day. End the year. So happy new year to you guys. Yes, true. We hope 2020 wasn't okay.
