More PROGRESS in Manila! BGC High Street Coolest Transformation

hello guys welcome back to another vlog brand new video we just ended the last vlog and we are starting off this vlog so if you saw the previous vlog then this is a continuation we are off we're on a little bit of a mission first thing in this video because it's a good thing but we have outgrown our home gym setup that we purchased during lockdown we've got we've got two strong for the weights and now all the weights we bought which weren't easy a few months ago they're manageable are now manageable and verging on too easy for some exercises so we want to be able to push ourselves further so we're going to try and get some new plates today we've already got the bars we just want to get some different places to build hey how are you good to see you try and get some new weights today just some plates to add onto the bell the bell the bar the barbell the bar barbell the bar some plates add on to the bar but we did just walk past toby's a minute ago and that was a big queue i don't know if there's some like drop of something that's been launched and people are queuing but hopefully fingers crossed we're going to be able to grab some today and that has to get stuck and then later this evening we're actually going to be in this area again because they've changed up the high street along here and for the first time ever they've put like casual dining tables out yeah in the middle of the high street there's some more down there as well we'll show you later yeah it's even more beautiful down the other end and i think actually this is perfect i was thinking we're not going to show you in the daytime we just did that and they're also going to show you in the evening yeah they put these like beautiful lights above it all so yeah we saw them the other day we saw them putting up some lights i don't know if their christmas lights were just illumination lights for the outdoor seating but this is a really really nice addition this is our favorite kind of area it's a local high street so i think as it's a saturday evening tonight we're going to come along and maybe get some food maybe get some drink and make the most of the new addition and enjoy the new seating area that has been put in by bgc slight issue we have a little cue on our hands people are people wanting to get fit yeah i guess we don't have a choice so some quick fire questions while we queue really your coffee what this is so weird uh coffee ketchup or mayonnaise ketchup chicken or pork chicken weights or cardio whey island or city george or lucy lucy we found the ones we need hopefully the bags will be strong enough thank you maybe hold it underneath as well hold it here thank you thank you very much oh all right we're good to go we should probably pay for oh yeah i'm glad i'm going downstairs with these not up otherwise that would be like another leg workout hi there two 15 pound weights just got back got stuck in a little bit of rain on the way home uh but i found recently uh put it away now some matcha powder i had it arabica recently um as a matcha latte and i really liked it it's like green tea powder it's super good for you so many benefits and i'm gonna try and make a little matcha latte now do i just see me some milk i've got the powder in here i think they add sugar normally but i don't add sugar so i've got a substitute here which is yacon syrup high in rook to light char rides don't know how to say that that's the longest word i've had to pronounce my life loads of benefits and it's like a good alternative uh to sugar so i'm just gonna put a little bit of that in there i'm gonna turn the heat on a little bit of water in um i'm actually guessing the recipe i don't know what i'm doing but so i always do i always guess stuff and it always seems to work out quite well so i will now attempt so i'm going to mix it up i really need to make a little liquidy oh great the last time i went the last thing i went a bit wrong but i'm going to give it a go [Music] is it horrible um i don't think i needed two teaspoons i think one would have been perfect for the only a little bit of milk i've got it's quite intense i mean i quite like it it's kind of an addictive taste but yeah one teaspoon would have been better than two i think okay so we have popped home as you guys can see uh we've been editing tonight's vlog getting that already it is kind of it looks quite nice outside but it is actually raining so i'm really hoping and i think so i'm really hoping in like an hour it'll clear up because we do want to go out for like some food or drink tonight and show you guys the new setup on the high street but lucy has made us like a late lunch here which looks incredible we've got some can we talk through it yeah you've had to try and guess did you hear the pawns yes we've got uh so we have so they're slightly different for george and i we've mainly got some what's that something vinegar on the floor so we have some uh cooked pork steak here with some nice dijon mustard outside would you call it like a glaze it doesn't look like there's many vegetables but the whole base of this thing is vegetables we've got some aubergine some onions some garlic some green beans then we've got some tomatoes some spinach some cheese some cucumber some fruit homemade hummus some salami some balsamic vinegar on top some olive oil just like a healthy mediterranean-inspired lunch so i just um well actually we did like a mix up edit tonight george edited the middle part of the vlog i i just did the first half in the second half don't ask why i don't know why that happened but it did and often what happens when we're editing is i'll want to cook in the middle of it so george will take over or george will be editing and there'll be a bit that i wanted to edit because i filmed it in a certain way so we often mix it up some of these edits are like a stitching of the two of us of our love and effect of two hearts yes anyway speaking of love did i say love was that a really cringy transition did i even say love that worked pretty well until you interrupted sorry i didn't let it run smoothly our friend one of our friends here has started a little company doing hand poured soy candles called love patsy and she sent george and i a couple i'm gonna open them up now and show you guys the packaging is beautiful i've kind of ruined it because i filmed it with my instagram but you can see all the nice paper and this nice confetti george and lucy thank you for supporting us they're made of soybean wax organic cotton wicks and premium fragrance oils vegan non-toxic earth friendly we don't enjoy products as much we enjoy making them these are the handles if you want to go and check them out i want to do a quick smell test on the vlog and tell you i want to tell you which one my favorite is so we've got vanilla oh that is a strong vanilla smell i love it when candles are strong and not just like too subtle so that's a nice strong smell lavender oh that's so nice wow this is a hard decision okay and finally one called sunny days which i think i read on her instagram it's meant to taste like peach snaps like cram region i think it i think it sounds like the recipe for a sex on the beach oh that's nice oh i don't know which is my favorite i think maybe lavender is my favorite of the three so i want to enjoy burning them over the next few months truly feel like you can never have too many candles or too many plants or too many coffee beans i feel like they're the three things that i'm happy with having lots of would you reckon george what can you have not to what can you never have too much of in life um yeah that'll be a nice end one vlogs speaking of vlogs wow i'm all the transitions today speaking of vlogs we are going to vlog this evening it's now 8 p.m already actually it's kind of later than we'd hoped for um i picked up some sushi at the shop earlier and we're gonna head down to the nice little seating area i'm gonna call it the picnic area because i feel like it's a picnic area i don't know if i'm making that up um and we're gonna buy maybe something to drink or to eat from one of the uh restaurants around it um have a little bit of food have a little bit of drink and just show you guys how it looks at night we've not seen it at night yet there's some beautiful lights we're going to head down there in a second check it out show you guys exactly what we think oh god youtube ads hey on our own simon and joe are continuously investing in stuff yeah anyway and uh have a romantic saturday night date night should we get a beer we never drink anymore um yeah we did yeah yeah welcome to nighttime strolling with the juicy vlog it's nice coming out this time it's much cooler than earlier now because it's been raining and stuff so we're gonna head back to the seating area the seats may be a little bit soggy a little bit wet it's going to be a wet bottom night i think i mean that doesn't sound too good depends on what mood you're in but let's see what we can do check this out saturday night wild everyone's out about wow this area looks super nice i think we can use one of these tables it looks like imagine like a film when it's some like big i don't know some party or something and someone makes this beautiful garden outside you've got the christmas lights up all the way down this side cameraman i said this side this focus isn't quick enough to vlog like that and then these string lights across all the palm trees it's just so nice so we're gonna set up camp over here i think [Music] let's go here this is nice so you can stay here and i can sit here cool is it wet how wet a bit wet i think this side and it's left work lovely wow see now we can have a little outdoor look at that it looks so sick collection we're gonna have a little um outdoor room assuming take our masks off there yeah we were eating i guess so have a little romantic saturday date night now this is super nice small touches not making it sound smaller than it is because a lot of effort went into that yeah thanks we saw the guys actually picking these lights yeah but really it's like some nice ah i've got soaked but really it's some nice spot lighting some colorful lights an atmosphere and some good seating and suddenly we've got a brand new experience in a place that we come to every single day how cool is that so slightly distracting lights behind me we've got some chopsticks i had some in the cupboard some like reusable ones from a takeout we had so you can have them but i had to bring our actual chopsticks out with us okay so we have to remember to not bin these at the end and we've just got a little sharing tray of some sushi here and i think afterwards we might have a little weekend treat a little saturday night treat and potentially get some ice cream because there's a place here that does ice cream there's also m bakery here which we've never really actually ordered from once they do some insane cakes and things like that i don't know if we're in the mood for a treat but if we are we have the option lucy's taking an instagram photo of me let me do my best pose this is just supermarket sushi but it's good i like it i like how simple it is fill up with wasabi you put the tiniest bit on you can't taste it you put any more than that on it's way too much yes it blows your head off i completely agree i feel like the high three every like week something else amazing happens like there's constantly a new feature this high street has its own facebook page actually i don't know if they've done a post about this this is all the way along this little area where we're sitting is kind of replicated four or five more times up there so maybe we could move location for ice cream where do you think you're getting ice cream it's quite late maybe elephant branch half eight do anything around your ice cream practically i was a little worried that if there weren't like oh let's put this sign back i think we moved that for a shot if there weren't um like bins nearby then i think there'd be quite a lot of trash in this place but luckily literally next door [Music] we have recyclable and waste always clean up after yourselves so here is the second seating area again looks super nice a little bit busier up this a bit more music a bit more going on we've got lakikara blaring their music from up above so i don't know if we just don't come out on saturday nights and we stay indoors editing videos and watching netflix which is entirely possible but i feel like there's a really really nice atmosphere out this evening george what is happening with these trees yeah i know there's even more lights up this end it's crazy like neon we decided to walk up to sun louie because in our opinion they do the best ice cream and we thought in our heads if we do a little bit of a longer walk then we have earned the ice cream a little bit more all right we've got a full-on light show here tonight and we do still have the big heart symbol here on this building really sweet couple we just met if that was you thanks for watching thanks for the support thanks for saying hi and now in other news now in other news we seem to have entered a nightclub yeah look at this i was just saying wow there's any there's like a flashing light warning on the screen yeah this is a bit i'm just saying that we walk here every day but when you see something but when you see something oh okay when you why okay okay guys the camera cannot focus with these lights manual focus we adapt here we adapt there we go now it can't go out of focus to begin with we'll get comments now why don't you do that every day um i was saying that i don't know i'm constantly being impressed by what they do around here and constantly being i don't know i feel like it's a really cool area i feel like they're always doing something like you said there's always something going on whether it's christmas lights they do big markets down here they're now doing this cool new outdoor seating there's a sense of community in this area what i'm trying to say is i really like it and i'm glad glad that we're what we're getting here where is that where is that [Music] cups here we are vanilla custard simple george went overboard i like to keep it simple with desserts it's good really this is ridiculous yeah i've never had this from shake shack i went for the big chocolate thing what's it called george shack attack this is so good it's so creamy and soft we wanted something to end the night on and then on a high we need to leave soon because curfew is in an hour which is kind of weird like i guess we're used to it now but isn't it crazy that you have to leave your saturday
