Well, in the first hour and a half, she spent more than I was hoping the whole trip would be.
This is the best day ever.
Good morning, everyone. And I say good morning wholeheartedly. We woke up in pure quiet this
morning. There was nobody fighting or pulling hair or jumping on us or stealing my snacks out
This bed was amazingly comfortable and I slept so good that I woke up at eight feeling like,
okay, I'm awake and ready to go. Like feeling refreshed. Yeah, it was crazy.
And I took a shower and the shower thing sprays water like from...
He's like, Daniel! Daniel! I might stay in here all day! This is amazing!
Do you guys see that? Like, there's the shower head up there,
but then this shoots water out of it also. So it's like a spa shower.
I feel really spoiled right now. Thank you, John. This is amazing and magical.
And now we have a whole day to do whatever we want, except John said he has something
that he has to tell me. It's some sort of surprise. So I'm gonna go ahead and let him do that.
Today. Today.
We're gonna go. We're gonna go.
To the mall. To the mall.
It's good because it's raining outside. And.
And. We're going on.
We're going on. A shopping spree.
A shopping spree. No budget.
What? Anywhere you want.
Whatever you want. Oh no.
Today. Oh no.
And only today. Oh no.
And only until the bank account is depleted. I keep saying oh no because I'm like Alina,
where I'm like, I want this, but oh, is it worth the money? I don't know. Oh,
I don't know. I don't know what to do. I don't know what to buy.
Well, hey, we have the day to figure it out. Okay.
Maybe not all day. I really am the worst at spending money on myself.
Well, I'll spend some money. Just keep me away from the baby stores
because I'll go in there and I'll buy. No, we ain't buying baby clothes.
I'll buy there and have a dumb day. Baby clothes are not allowed today.
No baby stores are allowed today. As long as you tolerate my like
complete indecisiveness, we'll be good. Hey, I'm here for you.
I'm just here for the ride. I just, I just do what you tell me to.
I'm mostly food. Let's go to all the food places. First on my list, French toast. Next,
cake. Then lunch. Then cake again. And then a snack. And then more cake. And then dinner.
Okay. And there is one more surprise later today.
Okay. You guys, um, I am all ready to go. I'm wearing the same sweater that I wore last night
because John did a good job packing my clothes. He picked my favorite outfits,
but none of it is like really warm and it's rainy and cold out. Um, the only problem
is that I wore heeled boots last night and I was like, Hey, wear my shoes.
And while he did good because I love these, uh, all I got are slippers. So looks like I'm rocking
the slips out and about. It's fine. I've been known to wear them a time or two to Costco or
Target. But today is a fancy day. It's my birthday weekend. I don't know what we're doing or what
kind of surprises are in store, but I know that, um, slippers probably aren't the most like
fashionable choice for that. So we'll see. Okay. We traveled far to get to this fancy restaurant.
It's actually the hotel lobby. So we didn't go that far, but I'm excited because I was thinking
like, let's go somewhere. And then I was like, you know what? That'll take time. We got to drive
there. We got to park. We got to wait for their weight. However long that is, let's just sit down
here. So I ordered French toast because it's my favorite food next to cake. And he was like,
Oh, have you had a French toast? It's like, you're in for a treat.
Should be good. I hope. I mean, his reaction was very much like he's excited for you. He's
excited. All right. So obviously we're at the mall. It's your 29th anniversary of your first birthday.
I want to give you a full day of saying yes. Do you mean that? Because it could get a little crazy
in here. Actually, I'm pretty frugal, but you are. That's why I'm trusting you in this.
But the times, the day's going to run out before she even makes it. That is kind of what I'm
counting on is that she like, it takes her hours in one store. And so it's not, I'm not too worried.
Okay. But usually I go and spend money on like the kids, but I don't usually buy myself.
Sometimes I order things online. Well, we're going to start out shopping,
baby. You're going to shop till you drop. And then after that,
if you want a manicure, pedicure, mani-pedi, whatever, you can have it. If you want a massage,
you got it. If you want Bavarian nuts, they're yours.
Anyways, that's what it is. So let's get to it. Let's stop wasting, let's stop wasting time. Let's
get in there and let's go make this thing thing happen. I'm really excited. This is going to be
fun. All right. Do you have a destination in mind? No, I can't decide. Okay. Hold on. There's soap
in there and stuff. Favorite place, Aerie. I love their, all my comfy clothes and bras and stuff.
Thought we weren't going to be shopping in any kids' stores, but there's a deal going on,
a sale going on, a store closing. So Danielle's like, we got to go.
Okay, I just saw little things that caught my eye.
Well, in the first hour and a half, she spent more than I was hoping the whole trip would be.
He's joking.
No, I just, if we keep with this pace, it's going to get really expensive.
Maybe we'll take a break and we're going to take a break and get a coffee.
And then the thing is, there aren't that many stores here that I even want to go in. And we've
already walked half of them all. And I'm like, I've only gone into stores. That's true. It is
already like 1.30. So yeah, 1.30. Don't tell me that. John is really trying to break the bank
because he just brought me into Madewell. I did not bring her in here. She walked us in here. I
just said, yes, because that's what I'm saying today is yes. That's all I'm saying. I even took
her drink back. I don't like to do that. I feel awkward telling people that they sucked at making
a coffee. It was so hot. You could barely hold it through the sleeve. But I did it. I took it back
because I have to say yes. I like walking in the store and watching people like look at the price
tags and pretend like it's not shocking what they're seeing. Oh, that's reasonable price.
$200 for a t-shirt. Yeah, I'll pay that. This is not Danielle's cake, but she wishes it was.
We're about to leave, but not. It's funny, right? We're leaving the mall.
I have one more surprise. We're heading to go do that. We're also going to make a stop at Target.
I saved some of my energy. I saved some of my stuff for Target. Now,
Target is scarier than Madewell. Target's the scariest. All right. We'll just pray for us.
I'm having fun. Oh, we are having a great time. She said when we left the mall,
walked out of the mall, that she felt so special. I do. We're having a good day.
Here we are. Your favorite place. The greatest place on earth. This is the greatest.
I'm a little nervous about this one. The mall. I was a little less scared because I knew she'd
be a little hesitant on buying stuff. That was kind of what I was banking on. Now, I'm a little
nervous that she's going to just... Oh, stop being dramatic. This isn't dramatic. This is real life.
We already spent a ton of money at Target. Anyways, add unlimited spending. We don't spend that much
at Target because I don't go there much anymore. It used to be I would go for laundry detergent or
dish soap or whatever, and I would have to go through the whole store to find it.
You know what I'm saying? I don't know what you're saying, so we will see.
So, we've stumbled into the hearth and hand section here, and that's bad news.
So, I dropped off Danielle and Maren up to the room. I told her I have one last surprise for
her, but I had to run out and go grab it, and that last surprise is this. If you can't tell,
it's a cake. I'm not going to unwrap it or unbox it because it's got a little gold band on it,
so I'm just going to let that... So, I'm going to surprise her with it upstairs. It's like her
favorite cake, so I'm going to take it up to her right now. I have a delivery for a one. Danielle
Murray. No. Oh my gosh. It's so heavy. It weighs a thousand pounds. What is this? No food dyes.
Happy birthday, Danielle. Win. So, that's the last of all the surprises I have this weekend.
Tomorrow, we're just going to hang out. Look at Maren. She's so sweet. She is so happy to be out
of her car seat and hanging out, just stretching. Yeah, you're so precious. Love you. Okay, so we
are going to go to dinner. I've been to this place once in California, but never the one here.
We last minute invited some friends, so that's a special treat for you guys because a couple of
our friends are coming that some of you might recognize, and if you don't, we will tell you
who they are when we get there, but it's going to be really fun. This is like the best weekend ever.
Look who's here. Hi guys. Hello. The party animals. Hey. You know us, party animals.
I love that. Who's older? Me or my sister? This is my sister. If you didn't know that. Who's older?
Go. Guys, I did not properly introduce our friends over here. I said, look who's here,
and then that's all I said. Look who's here. You know everyone in the world. No, you don't. Guys,
this is Ariana and Ryan, and they are our friends. They have a YouTube channel and all the
social media you can possibly imagine and want to digest. You're really committing to all of it?
All of it. Make sure you check them out. Here's where you can find them, and I promise you will
not regret it. If you do know them, which you probably do because a lot of you do, you're
welcome. You're welcome. Thank you. We appreciate it. Danielle's having a hard time over here
because she's trying to try sushi for the first time, and this is just getting complicated,
which is typical. Typical Danielle. I've tried sushi for the first time, and it was like gag,
gag. I cannot eat soy. But it's the seaweed that makes it go away. Could I get crab instead of
salmon? Is that a possibility? And then the soy paper. Okay. Look at this. Look at this.
Looks yummy. I said I love this. She did it. You did it, Janine. You made something happen that
might help other things happen. That's not what I'm talking about, Janine. That's not what I'm
talking about. I'm talking about going to get sushi again, okay? That's what I'm going for.
Yummy. Okay, John and Ryan are about to have a wasabi taste-off. Yes, we are.
I don't know what to call it.
You're drinking the water already, bro? You gotta let it soak in a little bit.
Blow out one candle? What is it? It's a brownie. That is huge.
All right, guys. This has been fun. We had a great time. I've never been to the
cowfish before, but it was delicious, and it was amazing, and Danielle liked it.
So this will be a place we visit again soon. I hope Danielle had a great birthday. I think she
did. She's kind of like doing her own thing right now. Whatevs. Anyways, we love you guys. We'll
see you later.
