MANILA BAY White Sand Beach is OPEN! Breathtaking First Walk on Sand (Huge Transformation)

We don't even like Starbucks coffee, but because we got a car for a few days, we thought we wanted to go through the drive through just because we can. So today we are driving down to Manila Bay and we're going to check out this white sand. We don't know anything about it, but it's something that we've wanted to see. Our friends Mike and Nelly have gone a few times now and now that we've got a car, we can actually go and see it for ourselves. We're super excited to see what's going on down there. Saturday morning here in Metro Manila. Beautiful day. Really, really nice. Little bit cloudy, weather check, cloudy, but all good. We're excited. It's fun to be in a car. So we haven't actually been in Manila Bay for over a year, I think. I think this place is going to look super different to the last time we saw it. It looks super modern driving down here, all like the palm trees and stuff and they've got all the Mall of Asia's near here. And what was the name of the other mall that was down here? Was it Ayala? Was it SM? Was it Ayala? There was another huge mall that's being built. And I guess, I don't know, maybe that was put on hold because of everything going on, but I'm excited to see how it looks, how different it is. We went to a really nice restaurant before and it stuck out kind of inside the bay, which was really cool. But I think where we're going today, we're just going to try and find this sand. I don't know if it's all the way along the beach. I don't know if it's just in one area. I haven't actually watched it. I've tried to not watch any videos so that you can see our genuine reaction today. Because I keep seeing things pop up on my YouTube saying white sands Manila Bay and I see the thumbnail and it looks so cool. But I've tried to stop myself from looking so you guys can see our genuine reaction today to this very cool extra feature here. That's insane. Oh my God. Wow. This is so different. Manila, Boracay. Wow. No wonder there's so many people here. I cannot tell you how busy it is right now, guys. It's insane. Like there's a huge crowd down here. People all the way up this stairs. There's people queuing to see it. Oh, you can go on the beach. Wow. We got a good parking spot. Did it open today? So I think Mike and Nelly first came here and they said when they first came, there was no one here and they saw them putting it all in. But it looks like maybe this is like a big launch. They got some speakers and a stage going on down there. I think this is where it opens so you can actually stand on that. And there's people walking around on the beach. So, so cool. Guys, I have to say, crazy scenes here today. There are huge amounts of people. We're not going to stay too long because we obviously want to try and stay distant. And obviously there's a lot of people. People are excited to see this. So there'll be a crowding here, but everyone's wearing masks. That's all good. But it's so, so nice. It's incredible how they've taken all this white sand. I have no idea on the actual amount of sand it took to do this. I wonder how far out it goes. And I wonder, yeah, but it's super nice. This is total madness. There's people like driving through the crowds. There's basically a huge queue down here to get in. And I don't know what these people are doing here, but I think they're like regulating it. And I guess only letting a certain amount of people at the same time, making sure people are distancing in the queue. I guess this is a different launch to what it would have been, had it not been Covid and stuff. Wow. I said I missed the beach. We're on the beach. Insane. Oh, this is insane. Like, I wasn't expecting to see this. This is what I imagined, right? I thought we'd get a little bit of a view through some fence and there'd be a bit of sand on the beach. It's still kind of being done. It's now been completely flattened. There's someone here. You can see, but... Hi. You can see someone here. Like, well, let's get closer and show you. This is kind of cornered off. And I think he's still preparing this part. But this part's open and same over here. So we've got this like one area that's kind of able to use. It's so cool. Amazing. So, so nice. Yeah, let's go a little water. Good to meet you. Guys, it has been so long since we were on any kind of beach and we're walking on sand in Manila. Awesome. This guy is collecting actual bits of rubbish to make it even more perfect. It's crazy. Right. OK, this is cornered off and he's collecting things that make it don't make it not look so picturesque, I guess. He's picking up things that are like, I feel like like debris and trash and things that you can see around the edge, because obviously it gets washed up quite a lot here. There's quite a lot of trash that gets washed up onto this part of the part of the bay because you used to see it all along here. Do you remember? There'd be like trash all along the edge in the water. So I guess that's still being washed up onto the bay. But this guy, I guess every day they clear it because it looks completely immaculate. The sand is completely white. It's insane. It's unbelievable. So, so cool. So cool that we get to be here on seemingly the day, I could be wrong because I haven't really watched any other vlogs, but seemingly the day that they're letting people actually on the beach. You have to queue up and they let a group of people on in a limited number and then they let another group of people, but so, so cool. There's a sign there that says no swimming. I was thinking I'd wonder if I see someone taking a dip. I don't think. So let's go to the water. There's still a lot of like cargo ships and things just out there. So cool. My friends, um... How's it going? We decided to quickly do a Facebook live, guys. So Lucy's currently live on our Facebook page. Still going on. Still very busy, but we're getting told off. We're being summoned off the beach. I think we stayed for two, guys. And it's like a TV crew here as well. Hi. Really cool experience. That was great. I didn't actually expect that we would get onto the beach today. So that was cool. Very, very cool. I feel exhausted after that. I felt like we were travelling again and we were at a festival and it was like all these selfies and seeing this amazing thing. And like it was very busy, very busy. Very intense in a short space of time. Exactly. Which we've not been used to for lockdown. Exactly. So now it's like that really tired us out. But we are heading to Makati now. We are going to end this video up here and we'll see what we're up to this afternoon in another video on the channel soon.
