How to install a Sim Local eSIM with manual activation codes on iPhone

[Music] hi and welcome to sim local we're going to show you how to manually install your travel eim on your iPhone with activation codes these codes are provided when you purchase a plan you'll find them in the Sim Local app or the confirmation email sent to your inbox before you begin make sure that you have a stable internet connection step one download your plan first go to settings then select cellular or mobile data also known as mobile service select add eim also known as ADD cellular plan or add data plan now select use QR code and tap enter details manually navigate your sim local account or confirmation email and copy the sm- dp+ address and the activation code finally paste them into the dedicated fields and hit next step two activate your plan you will get a popup telling you that your eim is ready to activate simply click continue to proceed with the activation your screen will then say connecting to network this part can take a couple couple of minutes step three rename your plan you'll be automatically prompted to select a label for your plan usually your home Sim is called primary and the eim profile is called personal travel or secondary but you can choose any custom name you prefer we recommend calling it Sim local or naming it after the country you're planning to visit step four select your default voice line if you want to continue using your home number to receive calls and texts select your primary line otherwise select your secondary or newly labeled plan step five set iMessage and FaceTime preferences you'll be asked about your iMessage and FaceTime preferences make sure you select primary to keep these on step six set mobile data to your eim you'll be automatically prompted to select your mobile data settings make sure that you select your newly labeled profile or the one not named primary to allow data to be used on your eim finally let's make sure that allow mobile data switching is turned off great we're nearly done step seven is the final step which is turning on data roaming go to settings and select mobile service or cellular under Sims tap on your new eim at the bottom toggle data roaming on and that's it you've successfully installed your new sim local eim Le a pro
