Welcome to Sim Local. Before you can activate an eSIM, you need to make sure your phone is
unlocked from your network. This just means your phone is able to accept SIMs from other networks
as well as your own. There are three ways to know if your smartphone is unlocked.
One, check your phone settings. On iPhone, go to Settings, General, About.
If No SIM Restrictions appears next to Network Provider Lock, your iPhone is unlocked.
Two, replace your SIM card. Turn your phone off, remove your physical SIM card and replace it with
a different SIM card to see if you can make a call or connect to the internet. If you can,
it means your device is unlocked. Three, call your network provider.
Call your network provider and ask them about your phone status. If your phone is locked,
your provider can usually unlock it for you. It's quick, simple and free.
