BIG Apartment Problem, We Have to LEAVE!

But firstly, how cool was that time lapse of Lucy's plants? She said to me the other day, I will bring this plant back to life within 10 minutes. I was like, no, that won't work. She was like, yeah, seriously, last time I watered it, within like 10 minutes, the leaves had risen up. I was like, Lucy, that's not how nature works. But I was proven wrong. That was very satisfying today. But yes, we do have a small issue. And actually, it's a couple of weeks, still love this. A couple of weeks ago, we said that our electricity went out in this building and it was scheduled. They put signs up in the elevators. They told us it was gonna happen so we could plan and prepare for it. It then happened again a few weeks later. And again, they told us, they warned us to put signs up and stuff. But today we woke up, we were lying in bed this morning and it was getting very, very warm. Then we realized the air conditioning wasn't on. We realized that whatever we did, whatever we tried, we couldn't turn it on. We then realized our internet connection had gone. We realized again that we had no electricity in the apartment but this time the difference is, we weren't told, there were no signs. We weren't ready for it, we weren't prepared. Lucy was about to make us a breakfast but we can't use the oven. So it means we have no warm shower. I don't want this vlog to be a moan. We're not, we're just documenting our lives. This is what's going on today. We have no warm shower. So we were gonna go for a run. We then wanted to come back into the nice cold AC and have a nice shower. Maybe a cold shower would be good after a run. We also can't make breakfast. So what we might do now, we're dressed in our gym stuff, our sporty clothing. We may go for a walk slash run and go and get some breakfast out. One good thing, instead of doing this this morning and scrolling, I've been playing Woody. So Woody is alive and well. Don't you guys worry. Apart from his, I think you guys knew about this. Apart from his gaping hole on the side of him, he's all good. When you get these small issues in life, this isn't, on the grand scheme of things, this isn't a big deal. If it's temporary, we can live with it. We'll adapt. We'll move around it. Gotta keep a positive mindset. And our day isn't gonna go as planned. We've got no internet. We can't upload videos. We can't use our desk setup because there's no power. So we will just have to adapt. We'll have to change things. And I think that's a good metaphor for life, guys, you know? What's that phrase about lemonade? If things don't go to, I'm gonna make up a quote now. Do you wanna hand me this quote, Luce? When things don't go the way you thought they would, rewrite the story. Yes. You want me to rewrite a whole story? Yes, you can. When the night sky is darker than you thought it would be, rewrite the stars. What? I think I'll get a copyright infringement from the greatest showman for that one, though. Okay, apparently Lucy's got a quote. Go on. When life doesn't go to plan, make lemonade. That is not it. That is not it at all. Something that is good is that we pre-made coffee this morning. So it's still a bit hot. It's still drinkable. So we're all sorted on the coffee front. And Joe, what are you doing? Huh? What are you doing? Shaving. So we've got a ring light, a ring light plugged into a power bank, which is charged, luckily. Follow me. You look like an angel with a halo on your head. Thank you very much. So now, all you do. Oh no, no, that doesn't just do that. See, now I can see into the mirror. Perfect. To my morning shaving. So hot. I don't think this run is going to be a good idea. I think I'm thinking a walk. You're thinking a walk? Okay. And then I'm going to be all soaked up. True. Being sweaty in a restaurant isn't ideal, is it? Guys, the E30 is still there. Still there. Working on, working on it. We're trying to find the owner, so if any of you guys know anyone that owns that car. We are still no closer currently. Someone said that it's their car and the keys are on the tire, but that was a lie. Someone else said they think it's been here for four years, which is crazy. Yesterday we walked past and there was actually a bag of trash that had been dumped in front of the car. And we were like, is this a sign? Does it mean either someone says, hands off, it's mine, stop going near it, or is someone saying, it's trash, take it? Yeah, we don't know. But we want it, we want this car. So let us know if you have any connections that can help us find the owner, because that'd be very cool. So we're back onto our Greenway walk here, which has become a firm favorite. You guys might have seen the video where we first kind of discovered this place properly. Lucy actually discovered it for me. But we've brought our coffees out. We decided today we would walk here because we're probably gonna go for some breakfast in a minute and we don't want to turn up at a restaurant all sweaty and smelly, do we? It's so hot in Manila. Very hot. I don't know if it's because of my fair skin or what, but when I exercise and I go really hard, I go bright red and it doesn't go for like two or three hours. So I have to take it easy. Oh, by the way, we just asked, what are you doing, spilling coffee on you? Every morning, honestly, we have coffee in bed every morning. We've got plain white sheets. Every time we wash them, Lucy seems to spill coffee. Are you okay? Yeah. All right, by the way, we just asked our security staff at our building and they apologized, which they didn't have to, because the electricity company didn't inform them that there was gonna be maintenance. They just showed up. They just turned up and started doing stuff. So she was a bit annoyed with them for not informing the building, which is why none of the tenants were informed either. She looked kind of stressed. ♪ There's a world inside ♪ You guys knew it wasn't gonna be long before Lucy made some friends on our morning walk. That's so cute, though. They've got their little spot up there. By the way, Luce, love your outfit. That and a lot of comments about that in the last vlog. My bad, my bad. It's so loud. We say it a lot, but at the moment it's been so nice doing these huge walks around the city. Come to St. Louis, which before this whole thing was one of our favorites. It was becoming one of our hotspots, wasn't it? We were coming here regularly. Can we get the veggie-baked eggs? Veggie-baked eggs. Yes, please. And then the smashed avocados. Smashed avocados. And add chicken, please. Add chicken. Yeah, thank you. You have the spot there, don't you? Lovely. Right in the sun. Today turned out like, oh, everything's gone. We can't work. We can't have air con. We can't have a hot shower. We can't make food or coffee, but it seems to have worked out a very nice way. Off and away. We're now in the sun, waiting for our breakfast. Remember my quote. What, make lemonades? I didn't order lemonades, George. No, not that quote. What, that, ah. Food has arrived. Oh, yours looks insane. Looks so good, doesn't it? Look at this, guys. Beautiful presentation there. Great place for brunch, actually, this place. Lucy's gone for the baked eggs. Of course, the essentials before you eat. Okay, they kindly gave us a quick scoop of Ferrero Rocher ice cream. Basically, Lucy was drooling over it, drooling over it on the menu. It's like my favorite. And the owner kindly offered us a taste. Oh my God. Good? So good, George, oh my God. I've got one as well, guys, so I need to eat this before it melts in this heat today. Wow. Yum, thank you, St. Louis. Quick weather check this afternoon. Wow, very gray. We made it back before what looks to be a big rainstorm. Our air con is back, our power's back as normal. We had a nice hot shower, so all good. And we made some coffees. And I think this afternoon, we're gonna film some reaction videos. Oh, it looks like it's dying. Doesn't feel good. It feels wrinkly. Today, like a lot of days, seems to be heavily focused around food. And Lucy has just made us a delicious lunch. She has made us chicken wraps. She's made her homemade hummus, guys. So many people always message me asking where the hummus recipe is. I actually can't remember it. You need to put it on your Instagram. The first time we go outside since lockdown vlog. First time outside in three months video. The hummus recipe's in that. But we are gonna enjoy this. We're watching currently a Netflix show called Below Deck, which basically follows around people who work on yachts. Do you wanna watch the end? Nah, let's go straight to the new series. People who work on these huge luxury yachts. It's all about the staff on there and the drama behind it, and them having to put on such a good face for their customers who are paying $100,000 to charter out these boats. Only two seasons are on Netflix. There's seven total. Oh, really? Okay. So we're gonna get into that. So we're gonna watch that. We're gonna eat our food, and we'll catch up with you guys. Very shortly. All right, this just arrived, guys. We've had a delivery from our friends at Three Hens Wine. Let's see what they've sent us. They've sent us six bottles of wine. Let's see what we got. We're a fan of this wine. Fun fact, you may have seen it on here, but this is actually empty. It's just a prop, because it looks quite cool on the shelf. But we picked this up at a fest, like a- Artifino. Artifino Festival, which was like a local arts, and there was craft products, and things like that. But now- We can replace it with a real one. Yeah, they've sent us, they've sent us another red. Nice. Beautiful. They've sent, ooh, a white. Nice. Another white. Oh, wow. I see where this is going. Let me see, this is, there's six. Wow. Another white. And, oh, we had the red and the white before. It's good. Okay. Another red. I could have done this a lot more simply. I think they've sent three reds and three whites. Yes, they have. We are so enjoying our little Netflix series, aren't we? It's so rubbish that I love it. Isn't that like all reality TV? There we go. There we go, now we've got some lighting. Lucy's just doing a food shop online with Landers. Landers has been a bit of a lifesaver too during quarantine. Definitely, so handy. What do we need? We need some cleaning stuff. I feel like I haven't bought any cleaning products in a very long time. I have no idea. I should know. Cucumber water and mint body wash. Actually, yeah. Is mint a bit stingy down below? Any, actually, yeah, don't get a mint one. Any guys watching this will know that you do not get mint shower gel. Do they have another one? This looks good, though. There's cucumber. All right, try it. The cucumber might counteract the mint, and it might be a nice feeling. I'll buy a special. Okay, guys, we're going to finish off this shop. We'll let you go.
