INSANE MANILA SKYLINE all to OURSELVES! (NEVER had this in Philippines)

hello guys welcome to another daily juice while my phone is doing something crazy on if that's a little bit better welcome to the first spontaneous video guys weren't expecting to actually vlog today but you can't see where I am at the moment because of this but if I link my phone is there really like military or something as you can see guys I am currently on a rooftop in Manila the least expected thing but I thought what happened today so to bring you guys up to speed Lucy and I were out earlier for some grocery shopping we were kind of walking around it's really hot we got really thirsty so like where can we stop for a drink some of the some of the restaurants and cafes and things are starting to reopen we suddenly were walking past where we are now this used to be one of our favorite secret spots we as used to come here a lot fun fact we were actually here on the last day before Warren team before quarantine started with our friends from the UK Hannah and Maggs if you remember those vlogs if you remember us coming here or our drinks arriving thank you thank you nice so I will explain that in a second but yeah we were here on the very last day before lockdown and we were walking past and I said to Lucy do you reckon that rooftop Bars open yeah and this event I and I said now there's no way they'll be open then we thought we went to a restaurant a few weeks ago and that was open we went to our favorite ramen place yesterday that was open that was that was accepting guests for like a dining experience so we were like well are we just Minda Kroy wasn't yesterday George wasn't it your time is like a week ago so we thought why don't we at least walk over there ask the guard so we just rocked up to this guy we were like it's the rooftop bar open expect him to fully say no and he was like yeah just head on all you have to do is head over there get your temperature checked sanitize your hands sanitize your feet and you can go ahead then so we got into the hotel there's no one around I don't even know if the hotel's open for guests there's basically no unloosen I the only the restaurant part was all closed off and there were tall chairs on the tables and things so literally I think the only thing open is where we are right now so we walk to the elevators only two out of the four elevators are open there's hand sanitizer and tissues there's all these precautions within the elevators so we come up to the bar and here we are right now let me just quickly walk around thank you thank you very much so as Lucy will now demonstrate we are the only people apart from those two guests over here yeah I don't know this has the most incredible view Mountains just all along and the sunsets just here as well now so fast fighting that time and we're basically in the middle of yeah let's go look at a view this is amazing this could not we couldn't be more socially distant right now we have this whole rooftop pretty my there's a few people that we're gonna say to ourselves because often yeah okay let's let's have a look at the view over here because this is one that's also one of the best spots for sunset I think in the city I think because of the atmosphere you get here usually we're just chatting to the waitress they haven't had many customers at all yeah we just asked by chance but honestly if it was really busy we probably wouldn't color anyway because yeah like we said in the restaurants that we've been to we've only been to two restaurants since things start opening up again a little bit because we're not we still don't want to be going out like normal bats normal like crazy yeah yeah everywhere we have been we've checked out fully we've made sure that there's I'm not gonna name our restaurant there's wanna walk past they have no glass there no separating they had very little precautions in place so we're not going to visit that restaurant yet but once we've been to we've made sure that they're kind of set up to look after their customers may guess separated but people are so far apart that it doesn't matter you don't you're not next to someone we're literally on our own up there and you can see the view it's like the whole five group just my son is better we've got these huge buildings along here and it's of such a nice place [Music] [Music] my student sonic I haven't had it in and connect oh my god since Christmas a little while since being in the Philippines since being home for Christmas and coming back out here I haven't had one so cheers to that yes he makes them so again in these kind of spontaneous videos let me just up separate all that's good what's refreshing this is kind of because we're now in a weird thing where things are starting to open and we kind of want to show and we kind of want to show how places are dealing with that because we want to we want to see support so that's about us needing to go out and do things because we've been in our apartment for so long as you guys have seen if you've been watching the quarantine vlogs it's more about us finding out how these businesses are operating as they do reopen I don't think it's such an interesting time we've so far documented every single step of the way since before lockdown to going into full lockdown full quarantine to all the changes that have happened throughout the past three months to then now things starting to slowly open again in a safe way and in the way that has a lot of precautions in place this is I think we can call this the new normal now it definitely is Oh off topic a little bit look what I did Lucy's fine I'm not gonna say how I would be all to get in the comments right now and guess I think that some of you will get this right and it's not just a stupid way for me to damage my oh it's just so true so amazing luckily it's only in the corner and it's probably the best corner it's not near the camera I don't I put some sellotape over it so I don't cut myself and it's not affecting this bike boy I do with my phone it just looks really rubbish yeah let me know in the comments whoever gets it right we'll have a shout out in the next video Wow for the next time I remember - toluca she's worse than I thought don't worry okay just don't get just don't get glass in your finger it has had a really nice chat with and some ladies over there it's like a long story Lee and they have a daughter which it's a grandmother a mum and the granddaughter / daughter is stuck in Italy and wants to come back here wants to come into the Philippines and her flights been canceled three times and they're basically wait there to get here and kind of have a bit of a life here stay there for a few months see what she likes but we just missed like randomly bumping into people in this chat we would change something like 15 minutes with their instagrams it was a really nice affair with phony balance you want a glass is that better I look a bit weird now and we've just missed two trans people and bumping am I really flexi I can fill drips of sweat no you're good you're good it's quite warm but it's a lovely beautiful evening here today I'm with this really myths of chatting to people bumping in people having random conversations swapping thank you contact and just making friends from a distance that keep my distance and it has been really nice and we just took a picture with the grandma to send to the daughter the daughters my age and they were like are we finally arrived we'll be your friends yes and more friends being made despite the situation honestly like being up here with no one else is weird like when we come here normally there's so many people this is crazy so I feel like you've got the whole Vanilla Sky lying to yourself this is Italy we kind of felt like this when we first went to the mall and there was no one in there like this is something that we may never see again in our life to end like you have these experiences where you're the own person or one of them in these places when we used to come here you can see the flight path across to Manila Airport only see one big plane since being we've been there over an hour usually there every couple of minutes just landing landing landing you never see that like this is I'm so glad we making videos documenting as we look back at this in yesterday and see a time when the world was such a different place [Music] guys well back of the apartment that was a really really nice I'm gonna call it a micro experience because the whole thing lasted like an hour I saw an Instagram caption of someone I follow today and he was saying that life is made up of micro moments like the big things in life very cool obviously when you get a new house when you go to a different country like we did when you do these huge things have your first kid wedding whatever it is these big moments but really life is made up of many small different moments and yeah just to sit with a beautiful manila sunset with a drink and a socially distanced physically distance is a term of physically distanced setting where there was pretty much no one else on a rooftop with just with Lucy really really nice moment but it is Monday today guys I hope you're all having a great start that week hope you had a nice weekend we mentioned in yeah we've logged Sunday and we were talking about it was a by the way I'm letting the hair go wild actually didn't even wear this oh I see oh no I can't I think I need to wear his hairband probably could go and get a haircut now guys but we're pushing through we're going for the long hat someone on my Instagram comment actually said they wanted to start a petition for me to get haircut they may have a point yeah it's Monday we spoke about on Sunday if you're looking to do something started workout plan a diet start your YouTube channel start your vlog recording your rapping start making tick-tock dances like start knitting start baking start selling your cookies on Instagram whatever it is some idea you've had I put in my caption where's my phones ever put my caption the other day when we hit 50 million views on this channel we only had we had at one point or another we would have had the idea to start a YouTube channel and we could have gone now people laugh people who think we're stupid people think was silly holding a camera in our faces in public talking about our lives could be seen as self centered could be seen as all these things but we did it anyway and and we're now in a place where we really really love what we do we have no regrets whatsoever on doing it so guys Monday a lot of people need a Monday to get going to get starting if you're watching this and it's already Tuesday don't worry start now dunno where I'm going with it I just wanted to bring a bit of motivation bring a bit positivity into today's video it is already 8:15 p.m. in the evening Lucy's already cooking up some we're having delicious pesto pasta this evening I'll show you guys I actually need to do some errands today is not over just yet we've just put tonight's video live which was the best years I thought you're making my dinner oh nice that was a joke by the way whenever I know it was a joke okay you can run off into there yeah if you saw the English breakfast video actually how many put it live yet got distracted by talking to you guys let's quickly flip that live there we go that is done for some we upload a video every single day pretty much on YouTube we have done for the last however long I still get not nervous but I still have to check every little detail and I'm never 100% confident when I hit upload even though we do it every day like will will you guys like this video did I do everything right oh it's live hope you enjoyed it if you saw it got a few Instagram files to edit we've been taking some photos out and about today because we can go out a little bit more to the opportunity to get some photos not just stopping for like a photo shoot but whilst we've been out about grabbing a few spontaneous photos that's kind of how can enjoying Instagram recently I think please do we post on our stories we post photos like behind the scenes of our lives and stuff like that I think there was a point in time where we were getting a bit we were getting quite I'm just being for myself but we're getting quite serious by Instagram like the photos have to be perfect and because we wanted these perfect photos on Instagram it meant we weren't posting as often but right now I'm literally just enjoying taking a photo on my phone posting it to Instagram writing a caption about whatever I'm thinking about at that time and just using it as bit more I don't know like my brain just going into a social media platform which is kind of what the flock is as well but good Niki some dinner will show you what we're up to then we are finally going to choose something else to watch on Netflix we finished a series Lucy and I always need like two or three days after we finish a series to get into a new series we can't just stop a whole series because it takes a like two weeks of your life we can't just start a brand new one all different characters a day after anyone else relate to that I don't know we're a bit with here we go guys the perfect dinner oh the perfect dinner after a long day Wow okay I'm gonna say it's over here without dropping it too much pasta way too much pasta I feel very ill we are gonna end this video here thank you so much for watching today and bit of a random bit of a spontaneous
