I don't like this. On July 2nd, today,
we'll hit the exact midpoint of the
year. And from that day on, 2050 will be
closer than 20 or than 20,000.
That's like devastating. Oh, we're
closer to 2050. That's a weird feeling.
Oh my god. I like it. Yeah, that means
we're going to be dead soon. I'm 37.
You're 36. I'm halfway dead. Basically
gone. I might as well just be gone.
Well, okay. We are coming at you guys
with another challenge and we are so
excited about this because we thrive on
challenges and we don't thrive without
them. No. And I have some endurance
races coming up that I want to be ready
for and I need something to motivate me.
So, I'm so excited about this. Me, too.
Me, too. I just thrive. Doesn't matter
what time of year. See, I started one in
November. I always start them at like a
random time. But this this challenge,
what we're going to do is it it's going
to be 75 days. And so we'll end around
midepptember. I think that's perfect.
Like right before the holidays. Right
before all the holidays. It is inspired
both from our 40-day fast and from 75day
heart. It's kind of a mixup of that.
Yeah. Yeah. We kind of pulled like,
okay, this I like this. I like this. I
like this. So, we're just making our own
kind of like we did with Yeah. Like the
40-day fast. And it's it's going to
challenge you, but also it's doable.
Right. So, and we're focusing on
physical, spiritual, mental, emotional.
Yeah. So, that'll be like what our focus
is for this. Definitely physical and
that's why it'll include like workouts
and we're going to focus on eating too,
like meals and that kind of thing. So,
let's go through what some of the things
are on our checklist. Perfect. So for
this 75 days on your checklist, we are
seeking to do a minimum of a 30 minute
indoor workout. Yes, 30 minutes is
doable. Mhm. You know, you can be
consistent with that. I owned a gym, so
I'd see people come to the gym for hours
and I just knew they weren't going to
last long cuz you can't Most people
can't. Yeah, that that is hard, but 30
minutes is definitely doable. Yeah. And
consistency makes a bigger difference
than spurts of working out and then just
quitting. So 30 minute indoor workout.
We will be recording some extra workouts
and posting them in our Patreon. Right.
And so we already have some in there.
There's plenty to do in there if you
want to just follow those right now, but
we will be adding more. The next thing
where we are suggesting, so this is
we're kind of taking this from 75 hard.
I think that they did 45. There's also
an outdoor workout we are going to be
doing. I'm probably just going to be
doing my outdoor walk because I cannot
live without those. I love my outdoor
walks every day. So that can be that can
count as your 30 minute outdoor workout.
And you can go more than that, but at
least get 30. So when I did 75 hard
before, I would time 23 minutes one way,
23 minutes back. It's about 2 miles. But
um So you could do 15 minutes and then
Okay, turn time to turn around. Yeah.
Yep. So that just makes it really easy.
You can do a walk, you can run, you can
do whatever. Go on a hike. Yes. So
perfect. Do some burpees out there. It's
just to get outdoors. Sunlight is so
good for you. It's good for you. Oh,
it's so good to just be outside.
Nature's so healing. Ever since really,
it started back in January. I started
walking cuz we were getting a challenge
to do 10,000 steps a day. And I can't
believe how much my mind has healed from
that. It was I had a lot going on last
year and feel like myself again. And the
walks literally I got to Ashley
literally I I needed to get out of my
house and start walking to get out of my
head and those walks are amazing. They
are amazing. So start walking if you
haven't. We did a prayer rock in the
last challenge show. Throw a prayer in
there. That that was life-changing, too.
If you've ever done those before. Oh,
you just imagine you're walking with
Jesus and you ask questions. It's crazy.
Like the things that come to your mind,
you're like, "That's not my own
thought." No, seriously. Yeah, like one
of my most profound answers that still
impacts me to this day came from one of
those prayer walks and I literally felt
inspiration on
how to influence my home. Yes. So, so
good. Good times. Okay, the next one is
journaling. But there we have a few
different options. So, you can either if
you just like to journal about your day,
that's great. Or you can prayer journal.
I'm going to explain what that is here
in just a second. Or use this as like
your gratitude journal where you're just
writing a couple things down. Just jot a
few things that you're grateful for
every day. The importance is to do this
consistently. So, you're going to
journal every day. So, prayer journaling
is super cool. If you don't know, if you
don't do this, oh my goodness, I have
received so many I believe answers to my
prayers from doing this. So, what I do
is I will write out a prayer. So, I'm
like literally like, "Heavenly Father,"
and I ask my question and then I will
write my name. So, I'll write Ashley and
then I'll start to write like what I
have to say about this and then whatever
flows just write. And usually what
happens is like my pen will just keep
going and going and going and I'm
writing so fast I'm like it doesn't even
look like my handwriting and then when I
feel like I'm done I'm just like okay
and then I go back and read it and I
will tell you 50% of the time it's not
the answer that I would have wanted. I'm
like this that's not what I like if I
was writing this myself this is not what
I would write and so in in many ways I'm
like that that was definitely inspired.
So that is something that I love doing.
Try that if you've never tried it
before. It's actually she had me do it
last night and I was really surprised at
the things that were flowing onto paper.
It was simple and I was like I wouldn't
have thought of that. So I know that's
from the Lord who Yeah. It's really
cool. Like I didn't I was like why would
this correlate with this? And I was
like, "Oh, oh, it does." Like that is my
answer. It actually does make sense. And
it's cool cuz it's written down so you
don't if if you're you can do this in
your thought, but you'll forget what
those like downloads are. So, totally.
Writing is great. Okay. What's the next
one? So, the next one is read 15 minutes
daily. And my suggestion would be use
part of that time for scripture, part of
it for a self-improvement. So, I'm going
to just divide mine. Do like seven and
seven or eight, whatever. seven and
eight and just read from those
scriptures and something
self-improvement.
Obviously, you can add stuff in if you
like to listen to podcasts or whatever,
but just get the your mindset in a good
place by reading some sort of self-help
book. I just found my how to win friends
and influence people. That's a book I
read probably 12 13 years ago. Mhm. Like
I'm going to read that again cuz that
book was so impactful and I could use a
refresher. So, I'll be reading from that
and some other I'll find some other
self-improvement ones as well. If you
have any suggestions, drop a comment.
Oh, yes. Do okay. The next one is follow
a meal plan. So, this is again going to
be personal for everybody. I love
macros. Like that's always what I can
stick to. Um, some people might like
keto. I love keto. I have polycystic
ovarian syndrome. So, I work better with
lower carb. I just feel better on it.
Mhm. So whatever you decide though you
are you stick to this for the 75 days.
Okay. The next one would be meditate 5
minutes minimum daily. That could be as
simple as listening to a song and
focusing your thoughts on a word like
peace over and over again. That is
meditation. Or we have some guided
meditations in our Patreon. I will be
adding more to that. Meditation is
powerful at changing the pathways in
your brain. And we have an amazing video
that we're going to share with you about
not just the power of meditating, but
for part of this is to build new
pathways, new ways of thinking, so you
see the world in a more healthy light.
And we'll talk more about that. Just
building new bridges of thinking in your
brain. So, what's the next one? Perfect.
The next one is 75 ounces of water a
day. So, really, it's like basically two
of these if you I mean, who doesn't have
one of these? I don't know. I actually
didn't have one of these until last week
because Bobby surprised me with one. The
40 oz, right? Every I swear everybody
has some something like this. I mean,
obviously you can drink more than that,
but just at least because I am the worst
water drinker. Like if I drink two of
these, I'm very impressed with myself.
Yes, very much. So, two of these a day
minimum. I feel so much more mentally
clear. I digest food better if I'm
hydrated. So, that's something I really
need to focus on. Yeah, that's good.
Okay, so the next one is just once a
week progress picture. You're going to
be working out, so it's kind of fun to
see whether it's the countenance in your
face change or you might start losing
inches as you focus on exercising and
creating a more positive mindset. Just
start to notice the little things. What
I noticed from my last one is I was
like, "Oh, my face doesn't look as
poopy." I could tell I was really
stressed out and had inflammation and
I'm like, "Oh, okay." You see progress
pictures and I'm like, "Oh, I have
changed." And that makes it kind of fun.
So like every Sunday take a picture.
Yeah, that's good. Okay, the this is the
last one is to fast from complaining. So
we have a couple things we want to say
about this, but I do want to mention
that when I did my 6-month journey, one
of the things was to cut out negativity.
And I remember going through this. So I
I did this checklist for 6 months and I
remember that being one of the most
impactful things for me. I was just
hyper aware of when people were talking
negatively and I was like, "Oh, like I
just wouldn't engage in conversation
like that or if there was the news was
on and it was just like I would shut it
off." I just was very aware of things
that I wasn't before and engaging in
conversation that was negative. So, I
feel like that changed me maybe more
than anything was cutting that out and
just being focused on that. So, I'm
really glad we included that in this
challenge. But I want you to share what
you just shared with me. Oh, the video.
The neuropathways. We'll I'll have
Ashley screen record and put this in
here because it was really cool. I love
focusing on neuropathways because I
teach meditation and yoga and what you
repeat becomes your reality. Something
I've been noticing, there's a quote by
Elanor Roosevelt. It says, "Small minds
talk about people, medium minds talk
about events, big minds talk about about
ideas." And if I'm being totally honest,
I have been all three of those. But I
like myself more when I'm an ideas
person. Yeah. And challenges like this
help me get to that place. Well, I've
had a lot of temptation to feel negative
and speak negative about some
circumstances in my life. And I'm like,
why do I feel so heavy and dark after
when these people aren't even in front
of me? I'm like, why do I feel that? So,
I'm pondering this question and this
cool video pops up and it's about
neuropathways and why the Lord calls us
not to judge. And it's not what you
think. No, it's not. Were you surprised
by the video? I was very surprised.
Yeah. What surprised you most? You would
it? It was just like it's scientific.
It's not even like this is this was like
he said judge not lest you be judged.
But there's scientific backing for this
and it's wild. So, we're going to share
a clip about that. Yeah. In a nutshell,
it's like whenever we make a judgment,
you put yourself in fight or flight and
you take that judgment upon yourself and
you're the one that suffers physically,
mentally, and emotionally. Wild. And it
just talks about learn to discern, not
to judge. And there's the battery died
halfway through whatever you were just
saying. So, we don't remember what we
were saying, but we needed to close this
out and explain when this is starting
because we didn't even say that. When
this is starting and all of those
details. So, first we will be starting
July 7th. July. So, it's Monday. Monday.
Monday. That's a good time to start,
right? Yeah. It's It's an easy challenge
to July 7th. And we're doing it cuz
there's no major holidays. There's
nothing. No. Besides summer fun, but you
can take your family to exercise with
you. You can do this with your family.
Also, I was going to say with exercise,
we are doing it every day of the week,
but I'll put a gentle yoga flow. I like
to do that on Sundays and just do a
little walk. That's kind of my rest day.
So, I do more like deep stretching type
of exercise then. Yeah. So, you don't
have to be like rigorous exercise. Do
what flows with your body type. Make it
doable for you. Um, but also whoever
actually finishes the 75 days and is
genuinely honest about it, progress
pictures, all of it, we are going to be
giving away shirts. Yeah. not not just
like to one person, but if you complete
it, you get a shirt. And this is in our
Patreon. If you're watching this on my
YouTube and you want to participate and
you don't want to be in the Patreon,
that's fine. But this is like this part
of the, you know, if you complete it and
you're in our Patreon, then we will send
you a shirt. So, you just tell us a size
and we will ship that out to you. And we
also will have some other fun shirts
that are for purchase with cool sayings
on them that we just like. So, I love
it. Okay. Also in the Patreon, we are
going to be uploading weekly we we have
a couple ideas, but like inspirational
videos will be uploaded, thoughts that
we have and just encouragement as you're
going through this challenge with us.
We'll we'll do some kind of like
accountability in there if you guys are
interested in that, too, cuz that's kind
of part of like when we did the 40-day
fast, we were holding each other
accountable and it that was like a huge
deal for me. I loved having everybody
everybody's input. So, a little
discussion group that was really fun.
Yeah. Yeah. So, we'll do something like
that in there as well. Yep. So, all
right. Patreon, where is that linked for
the It'll be linked in the description,
so you can go check that out. And so,
we'll be sending out information with a
checklist. Um, we'll show you what that
checklist looks like. I'm just going to
keep something on my phone with I just
keep my little dotted checkpoints and
then every day I reset it and then just
hit check, check, check as I'm going
down the list. So, yep. And we'll have a
printable for you to check off if you
want to print it and post it and check
it off. So, yay. I'm so excited. Okay,
that is anything else? No, that's
everything. We'll see you in there.
Okay, bye.
