Yes, I think this could be the best latte art I've done so far.
Means good? Very good. Hi guys, welcome back to another video on the channel Daily Juice.
I've made some coffee. This morning we did a 10 minute workout, which doesn't sound like long,
but it was all abs. And with no breaks. It was like 30 seconds of these exercises over and over
and over again. Every exercise was different, so it was quite interesting. We weren't bored,
but it was hard. We weren't bored in-house. We were literally like,
burning. Screaming. I don't know why, with ab exercises, you get that after burn, I'm going
to call it, if you know what I mean. It's like you stop the exercise and then there's a second delay.
Anyway, welcome to today's video. In this video, Lucy is going to tell you about something she's
been working on. I'm going to make some more coffee and play a little bit of guitar.
And we're going to enjoy sunset on the balcony. I wanted to try and start doing a little intro to
the vlog, like what's coming up. It's impossible because we don't ever know what's going to
actually happen. I was going to say that, all that stuff you said might not even happen.
You have to just watch the whole video to find out if it does or not. That's the beauty of this.
Today, we wanted to give you a bit of a behind the scenes. Is that what it's called? Because
we're going to basically take you through what we do in a day where we're not filming a vlog,
but we are going to film a vlog. I thought you were taking the mickey then. I thought you were
being like, what we're going to do is like film all day. Is it like telling you what a vlog is
that we've done for the last 45 days? That's why it's weird because today we were like,
let's not vlog. We've got a lot of stuff to do, a lot of stuff to get done. Thank you guys a
little bit brighter. But then we vlogged. And then we were like, can't resist. Good morning guys.
Yeah. The reason we weren't going to vlog today is because we have some work stuff to do. We were
going to film like eight reaction videos. We're finding it hard to keep up with, which is a good
thing, the amount of requests on the reaction channel. So that's really cool. We want to do
everything that people tell us to, because otherwise there's no point in asking people
to suggest stuff. So we have to do it because that's what we've asked for. So we're trying
to keep up with it all. But obviously we don't want that to take away from the vlogging channel
either, like actual juicy vlog. So that's why we're doing both. And we have time to do both
now because obviously we can't leave. Yes. And another little thing we've started, what I started
yesterday, it's kind of my project, but George is definitely having an input on it, I'd say.
Not much of an input. No, but like you're helping. This is like your baby. And I just had this idea,
Georgie's sister Emily has started a home account for her house in the UK. And I literally saw it
and I was like, that's such a cool idea. Like really long captions explaining exactly what's
in the photo, the inspiration behind it, tagging the brands so people can buy it themselves. It's
really aesthetically pleasing and nice to see what's inside someone's home. I don't know why,
I just follow quite a few home accounts already. It's kind of like in 2006, where you'd make a
MySpace or Facebook account for your dog. Now people are making accounts for their homes. Yes,
exactly. But it's not the home speaking in the captions, is it? No, it's not like, oh,
Lucy and George sleep in my bed. That would be weird. That'd be cool. No, I don't like that.
Anyway, and I've basically created a home account for our apartment here in Manila.
It's a brand new idea we've had. And I just thought it's like something new we can do.
We've had this place for a while now and I thought it's mainly done. There's still areas I want to
work on and things I want to buy, but it's mainly kind of done how we like it. So there's a lot of
different corners in it that I can show you. I mean, it's quite small, so we can't do loads of
wide photos and show it. Or we can do a few of them, but probably like four would show the whole
place. So it's like more showing you little spaces. Like I did one about this whole dresser
here. I've done one about, I'll show you now actually, I'll get it up on my phone. And this
is going to make you all very nervous, but I'm not going to move the bed. It's been really nice
for us, especially as content creators, as a lot of people tend to call people who make YouTube
videos or people who post to Instagram and it's more like their job, more so than a hobby. Lucy's
looking at me like, I was just talking. You've literally interrupted. I'm just looking into
space to be honest with you. It's nice. Part of the reason we did the reaction channel,
or part of the reason we always try and try new things is because for us to vary our content and
to make content about stuff we're genuinely interested in, that is the best recipe for
when you're a content creator. And I think like, and it's almost like progressing, I guess. Like
we've still got the GC vlog and that's not going anywhere, but it's like having extra stuff. Like
some people might think like, why are you doing so many extra things? Like just stick to one thing,
but we personally love having our hands in lots of quiches or pies, spinning plates. Yeah, exactly.
Because we find that more motivating and inspiring and it just makes us feel like we're progressing
in some way. Cause obviously we adapt the daily vlog. We change it. We try to make it different
every day, but having other things to also do and like fresh stuff and new stuff, it's just exciting
I think. And like I said, it's not taking away from anything else, but we're very, we need like
being stimulated that like when we travel, like we go very fast and we go for it with the vlogs
and stuff. So when then we're now sat still for so long, we're like, cool, that's fine. But let's
find loads of things that we can do from our apartment. So that's kind of the main reason why
we've done this. I'll pop up some pictures just here. I put nine photos on it to begin with before
launching it. So you can have something to read and go and have a look at. I do full long captions,
like I said, um, with like real detail about what I'm talking about. So I'd love it if you could go
and give me a follow. Um, and then just this morning, like for example, I've popped one on
our coffee cups just here, um, and just showed them and why we chose them and the sizes and
the colours. And I've just written out this little caption tagging the brands.
And yeah, there's just like a few of these. So you've got the basket here. So talking about
why we've got a basket next to the sofa with a blanket in and just kind of shows all the different
features. And then, like I said, we've got some from further away, some like close up showing
details, all about the plants, the different candles we use. I love this one with the mirror
with the, um, lights in our bed. And then I've also, what I've started doing is I've done some
swipes to the original place. So these are the photos that were on the website when we first
discovered this place online. Um, so we can have, I've got a load of before and after photos. So
I'll be sharing them soon of the lounge and stuff in the bathroom. Um, I feel like I've spoken for
a very long time, so sorry about that, but please go and give me a follow. Um, if that's your kind
of thing, if home interiors are your thing. And I'm also going to be doing some like stories on
there with like inspiration for me and mood boards. And I'll be like updating my highlights
and stuff. So there's lots of exciting stuff coming on that. Um, and I guess like when we're
allowed like back out again to go home shopping, like we normally would. That's another thing I
was going to say, we're so grateful to have our main audience, like on the Juicy blog and that,
because that's a big audience that allows us to then try other things, doesn't it?
This account and our extra YouTube channels and stuff, it's purely not that the Juicy blog isn't,
but that's like our main thing. And then these accounts, like, it doesn't matter how many
followers that account gets. You're doing it because you enjoy it. And because it's like a
passion thing. I'm not going to like big people to follow it, but if people want to follow it,
they can. But I was going to say, that's the other cool thing is that because we've got such a big
audience as a whole, and most of them like watching our vlogs, there might only be,
there might be a pocket of people who love homes and interiors.
I've had loads of messages saying like, this is so good. Like I'm obsessed with this. This
is my perfect account to follow. So it's really cool.
So then we can make extra content for those people. And then there's people who like,
love the cooking bits in the blog. So we can do more of that.
Cooking Instagram.
No, that is not coming yet.
Also like, I guess it's the equivalent of having like lots of hobbies, isn't it? So like if someone
particularly enjoys cycling, they're not going to be cycling 24 hours a day. They might do an
hour's ride a day, but then they might also pick up a paintbrush in the evening and paint a picture
because they enjoy that. So it's just like doing different things because you enjoy them and
sharing them. That's kind of, yeah, that's kind of it. And that, when I get, when I can get out
and get some better equipment, that's why I'm going to make some like music videos on more,
George. Part of the reason I started that channel was to do music.
The podcast microphone, so you could probably film, record some stuff.
But I want like, yeah, I want some different gear for that. We could, we could do like some
acoustics. I'm falling off the bed. I've actually fallen off the bed, fell off the bed.
That's why.
So that's a little, that's a little, a little insight into like,
I don't think we were focused on any of that.
Oh well, I'm manually focusing today. A little insight into our brains,
into like what we do and how we think about content and stuff. And we're very,
yeah, I guess the word is grateful that we can, we're able to try different things and
make content that we enjoy. And that is what the number one thing we say to people. If people ask
us, how do you start YouTube? How do you start an Instagram account that gains followers? How do you
become a content creator? I would say make content about something that you enjoy and that you like,
because it's going to be way more authentic, isn't it?
Yeah, it's going to be, if you see someone doing it and you're like, oh,
I'm going to just do that as well because it looks easy or because they've gained a following from
it. If you don't have the passion, it's not, it might work out if you're lucky, but
you won't enjoy it, but it probably won't work out at all.
All the vlogs we used to make on our weekends and stuff years ago that would get a couple
hundred views. We didn't, we did it because we loved it and there would, we probably could have
had like a smarter strategy or something, but we've always really stayed true to the content
we like making. And obviously there's ways that if things, there are ways that you can
try and optimize searches and titles and all that kind of stuff. And that is a way you can grow,
but I think, Oh, sorry. I actually sprayed all over you. Oh, did you? Oh, no, no, no. That's
fine. Sorry. It's actually just in the middle of a very good point as well. Sorry. Nevermind. You
can now watch Lucy cream all over herself. Carry on. Can't remember. Oh no, I'm really sorry. I
just meant to do that like non-distractingly. I didn't mean to. Oh, well you can now watch Lucy
rub cream all over her legs. Moisture is key. Moisturizing is a very good idea. If you don't
already, it makes you feel very nice and soft and smooth. So just putting some intense seven day
aloe vera moisturizer all over my freshly shaved legs. They're very smooth. Oh, blimey. Lovely.
Something else that I said I was going to do. Whoa. On Instagram is a Q and A. Oh no,
it's on 3%. Do you reckon I can do a whole Instagram Q and A with 3% battery?
No, I won't film myself answering the questions because you guys might not fully be into that,
but if you do want to go and follow me on Instagram, my Instagram is down in the thing
as well. Oh, sorry. Yeah. The plan today is Instagram Q and A. Let's see how many questions
we got actually. See if we've got some good questions. We love doing Q and A's because
somehow there's always different questions that people ask. Stuff that we wouldn't even think of
talking about. And it also gives us insight. Another little behind the scenes thing is that
Q and A's. We do Q and A's because one, they're fun content. Two, it answers questions that you
guys want to know. But three, it kind of gives us, what's the word? Like market research. Way
too formal for what I'm trying to say, but it kind of gives us an insight into the kind of
things that we could talk about in vlogs that you guys want to know about or want to hear us
talk about. Because if there's 10 or 20 people who have asked the same kind of question about
a similar thing, then that suggests to us that that would be something you guys are interested
in. So there's thought behind everything we do. It's entirely untrue. Often we do just literally
pick up the camera and film whatever's going on, but there's a little bit of planning,
a little bit of, you know. We got our high Fred delivery again this morning.
Look at these spring onions. I've never, is this a Philippine thing? In the UK,
they're like this fat. They're so cool and miniature. I love it. That'd be really nice
to put on top of stuff. Yeah. Nice. Nice. So here's the order, all nice and clean.
Delicious. This is how much veg and fruit we eat in one week. Just to give you an idea.
So it's quite a lot, I think. It's good. So if you're interested in high Fred,
link in the description as always. All right. Thought I'd share what we have for lunch today.
Lucy has made a delicious bowl of vegetables, chicken, and cheese, and it's all like
proper flavours, man. I don't know how she does it. Smells so good. She can take...
Oh, there's a little, oh, nice little salad as well. Like onion and tomato and...
You've given me tomato. Lucy started giving me tomato, cut up very, very small. If you don't
know, I don't like tomato. Some of you who watch Mike and Nelly's vlogs will know I don't like
tomato from one of their recent episodes. Cucumber, olive oil, tomato, corn, green beans,
carrot, garlic, chicken. Delicious. We've set up the laptop here because we're currently watching
a series called Benidorm, which is hilarious. It's an old British comedy from the early 2000s,
and it's pretty funny. We found that there's episodes on YouTube. So
that's what we're currently watching now that our Marvel epic marathon is over.
So I'm just taking some pictures here of this footstool for the home account,
and I just wanted to show you some behind the scenes of that. So I'm just popping it here.
It's kind of, the light's dark, it's a bit darker outside now, so the fact that it's backlit shouldn't
be too bad. And I just, to be honest, I just take them on my phone on the live focus and edit them
on an app on my phone, so I can kind of get more out instead of worrying about the editing and
all that. So I'm going to grab some photos here. I've got quite a few pictures here to choose from,
different angles and stuff. So I'm going to pick one. Which one? Okay, I've just dragged this one
into InShot. I'm cropping it to the Instagram size. I think I'll do like this. And then we've
got some filters. They're often really intense, so I often only use a little bit of one. I think
this photo is overall too dark, so I might pick one that's a little bit brighter actually.
Okay, so I've gone for this one. It's a bit brighter because it's getting kind of dark
outside, so it's easier to edit. I've popped a filter on it. And then I'm going to go to another
app called Lumi, and this is one where I can add like different effects over it. So like some grain
or to make it look a bit nicer and brighter. So this one, for example, it's got other filters
as well. This one can actually make it a lot brighter, which I think is needed. I really like
how bright the account looks at the moment, so that's good. And then here, let me do that,
then you can see it better. Here, there's different light effects. Some of them are very
intense, but if you take it and bring it down a little bit, it just gives it that kind of
filmy look and that little bit of bright on the side, which I really like. So I might leave that
one in. That's quite nice. And then what else have we got? You can add different bits of sunlight,
and it just now kind of looks more glossy, doesn't it? It looks more like a magazine photo
and adding these things instead of it just being like a very flat phone photo. So I'm just going
to finish this one off. You see the before and after actually here. So I'm just watching this
vlog back because I forgot where we got the stools from and we vlogged it. So that's why it's handy
having a vlog. And then I can tag them on the Instagram post. We're not saying the name.
All home. Yes. Well done, George. You filmed it without meaning to. What a random thing to buy on
a road trip, by the way. So I've written out a caption just here and I'm tagging all the companies
that I can see that are in the photo. And I'm just going to pop it on the account now. I did a swipe
for three just so that it looks cool. So you can see all different ones here. And I've got the
three photos all edited a bit differently. And where's the caption? Just here. So go and
check it out. Go and give my caption a little read. But that's how I'm creating posts for this
account. There's a one fun fact that the unicorn's name is Charlie, as we found out. He has been in
the quarantine for quite some time. Very well done. Very well done. So now the question is,
So serious. They're literally talking about themselves.
Okay, guys, we're currently watching the PQG 2020 Games. The Philippines Quarantine Games 2020
on Mike and Nelly's channel, Making It Happen Vlog. You guys should definitely go and check
out this video. So, so funny. Lucy and I played a part in this. We did. And it's come together
really, really well. It's hilarious. We'll put a link to this video in the description. So when
you're done here, head over there. So good. It's hilarious. There's a lot of, how can you say,
starring cameos as well. We're not going to tell you who else. From people you will
recognise in the vlog. Very cool. As well as us. Very cool. We're going to finish it now.
