Hey guys, welcome back to a new video.
So we're still here in the beautiful city of Shanghai
and today we're starting the vlog off at a revolving buffet restaurant
inside the iconic Oriental Pearl Tower of Shanghai.
Let's go.
Thank you.
So before we get some food,
one thing we've noticed is that we're actually moving right now.
So this restaurant makes one full turn every two hours
so that you can see the whole city view while eating.
Look at this.
It's slowly moving.
It's kind of trippy.
If you're not paying attention, you won't notice it.
But if you really look at it, it's really trippy.
And because I have motion sickness, I can feel it.
Also, this is our first time being inside a revolving restaurant.
I've never been to one.
Yeah, we've come across some revolving restaurants in different cities
but we're really glad that we decided to do our first one here in Shanghai
because this is one of the most iconic towers here.
If not the most iconic tower.
All right, let's go check out the buffet.
See if the food is good.
From what I read online, they have Chinese food,
Western food, and international food.
So let's go check it out.
I think we're gonna start it off with some sashimi.
You can go.
That's all you got?
I got sashimi first.
I went all the way over there.
This buffet is huge.
So it goes all the way over there.
They even have like free beer.
They have milk tea.
They have a lot of stuff.
This restaurant is so trippy.
Like I was trying to find Jan because we started over there.
And then I was like, where, wait, did we move?
We're actually like on a different platform.
So this platform moves but the buffet, like the kitchen doesn't.
We're gonna have some roast duck.
Some pork belly with some squid.
Alright, let's go see how big this restaurant really is.
Alright, so I'm going around so you guys can see how big this buffet is.
Look at that.
We got some meat section.
Let's keep walking.
So even the buffet is 360 degrees.
You got dessert area over here.
Dude, this restaurant is huge.
So it just goes around as well.
You got the drinks.
Oh yeah, that's about it.
Thank you.
Alright, second round.
I got varieties of meat.
We got some duck, calamari, pork barbecue.
We got shrimp.
We got some steak.
And just finished our first round.
I'm probably gonna go back for some sashimi.
You know, get my money's worth.
Alright, let's eat.
Let's try the duck.
Alright, so this is my fourth plate.
I got salmon once again.
Got some more sashimi.
So far, the restaurant itself is very, very cool.
Obviously, you get 360 degrees view of the city of Shanghai.
And it's gorgeous up here.
But the food itself, in my opinion, isn't the best quality.
I give it like a 6.5, 7 out of 10.
But if you just want to get full and get amazing view of the city,
then this is still worth it.
So for reference, the buffet costs around $50.
And the observatory deck itself costs around $25.
So in our opinion, it's worth it to add the extra $25 on top.
Because when you do, you get a dining experience.
And you get the same view you get at the observatory deck.
Alright, guys.
So if you're wondering where we booked this experience,
we booked it all on Klook.
And we do have discount code JANINANKLOOK.
So if you guys are planning a trip anywhere in the world
and want to save money on experiences, tours, activities, etc.,
use that on the Klook website or app.
And that will save you money.
Alright, so just below the restaurant, the revolving restaurant,
is the observatory deck.
Like what Ann said, to get to the observatory, that costs around $25.
And if you want the dining experience, all you have to do is add $25.
And you get more of a peaceful view of Shanghai
because you can sit down and obviously enjoy the dining experience as well.
The food was pretty good.
Obviously, not the best quality.
But if you just want to eat, get full and enjoy the view of Shanghai,
then I'd recommend that.
Or if you don't want that, then you can just do the observatory deck
and still enjoy the amazing view of the city.
So they also have a transparent observatory deck.
Look at this.
This is so nice.
There you go.
Alright, guys.
Good morning.
Day 2 here in Shanghai.
So we're starting it off at Lai Lai Snack Dumpling Restaurant.
This restaurant is best known for their xiaolongbao.
So starting the day off once again with food.
Yeah, let's go there and eat first.
Let's go.
Alright, the line is quite long.
But that's a good sign.
Thank you.
So we got the menu.
So they have xiaolongbao, wonton dumpling soup, and fried dishes.
We're definitely going to go for their best sellers though,
which is the pure crab xiaolongbao and the pure pork xiaolongbao.
So our table is seated.
Lots of people here waiting for our food.
It's actually so packed.
But the line went so fast.
Alright, so we got some fried pork cutlet.
Also got a lime tea.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's really good.
We're still waiting for our xiaolongbao.
I'm so hungry though.
But we're starving.
So we're gonna give this pork cutlet a try.
Oh good.
Oh yeah, this is so yummy.
Crispy on the outside, super tender on the inside.
Yeah, it's quite flavorful too.
Alright, so our dumpling is here.
We got the pure crab dumpling.
Yes.
And then we also got the pure pork dumpling.
So we're gonna give the pure crab a go.
This is their best seller and also the most expensive one here.
And we got some ginger sauce.
Yeah, ginger with vinegar.
It's filled to the brim with crab meat.
So I think you're supposed to bite the corner first.
And have a little bit of the soup.
And you can test out the temperature as well.
It's so good.
It's really good.
Yeah, it's yummy.
Guys, look at the inside of the pure crab dumpling.
It's so soupy.
It's filled to the brim with crab meat.
Wow.
Alright, so we killed it.
The restaurant was actually so packed.
We were sitting with strangers.
Yeah, we were sitting next to another couple.
That's honestly one of the best dumplings I've had in a long time.
That was so good.
Even the cutlet was amazing.
Yeah, now I see the hype.
Alright, so this bubble tea place is right beside the dumpling place.
And to be honest, I have no idea what I ordered because it's in Chinese.
Alright.
What is that?
There's some sort of like...
What is that?
Taro?
So at the top, it's like very watery like your typical milk tea, right?
And then at the bottom, it's like this thick consistency.
I don't know.
It was top one.
Yeah, I don't know.
It was their best seller.
Alright, let's give it a go.
That's pretty good.
What is it?
What is this thick stuff?
Oh wait, let me try the thick stuff.
Oh, it's taro.
It's good.
Okay, I was expecting it to be sweet but it's just right.
From Bali to Shanghai and now here in Okinawa,
we've been on the move non-stop,
basically living out of our carry-on for the past few weeks.
The Bellroy Transit carry-on has kept up with everything.
It's lightweight, rolls effortlessly,
and the removable packing cells have been a lifesaver for staying organized on the go.
Yeah, this thing is so smooth.

you can get 10% off right now through the link in our description.
And with that, thanks to Bellroy for sponsoring this part of the video.
Alright guys, so we took a taxi and 20 minutes later,
we're here now at Anfu Road.
So Anfu Road is known to be one of Shanghai's most trendiest streets.
Here you'll find cafes, bakeries, really good coffee, and local boutiques.
Right now we're just taking cover because it is raining
but I think we're just under a rain cloud.
So in a few minutes here, we'll be able to walk and explore the area.
Yeah, first impression though, very trendy.
It's like a mix of old and new, which is really nice.
So can't wait to explore.
So the rain has finally stopped.
I know Ann said lots of cafes and good coffee,
but there's also lots of stores to shop at.
They have a range of local boutiques and well-known brands.
So yeah, this is a good place to shop if you're into that.
Yeah, I'm really enjoying this place so far.
If you guys love cafe hopping, this is the place
because we've passed by so many interesting cafes, even local boutiques.
So we're really excited to explore more.
This cafe that we're heading to right now,
they have coffee and with each drink, you get a little teddy bear.
I think that's so cute.
There's actually a lineup right now.
So we're gonna line up and get some coffee
because we haven't had coffee yet today.
And a teddy bear.
Yeah, we're gonna get a coffee and a teddy bear.
All right, once again, if you want to conveniently pay here in Shanghai,
you gotta download Alipay.
Basically, they're Apple Pay here in China.
Look at how cute they are.
That was a long wait though.
I guess everybody wants a teddy bear.
This is yours.
This was, what did you get?
An apple coconut water.
Yeah.
Which is really interesting.
Okay, there you go.
There's your little teddy bear.
And then I got the rose latte.
So legit 30 minutes later or longer,
we finally got a drink with the teddy bear.
That took a minute.
To be honest, I thought the teddy bear was gonna be the same size as Ann.
But it's kind of tiny.
And one tip, if you want your cafe to blow up,
better give out some teddy bears.
Better give out some free stuff.
I know.
Cheers.
Look how cute they are.
Oh my gosh, this is actually so good.
So I got the apple with coconut water.
Try it.
It's water?
Yeah.
Is it fizzy?
Oh no, not really.
But it's delicious.
That's refreshing.
Yeah, it's not sweet.
It's so good.
Also, this area is so busy.
Very trendy.
Yeah.
Lots of people taking photos if you want the Instagram photo.
Anyways, we're gonna keep walking around,
find a garbage to throw this teddy bear out,
and we're good to go.
Just kidding.
It's good.
And this is my souvenir.
It just like comes off like that.
Oh, it comes off like that.
You can put it right here.
No, this is my la booboo.
La booboo.
This is where I'm gonna put mine.
La booboo.
Look at this.
This was free.
That's actually cute.
That's so cute.
With my coffee.
So our next stop for today is another famous neighborhood
and district here in Shanghai called Xin Tian Di.
They're very well known for their upscale shopping,
and it's definitely more modern and luxurious in this neighborhood.
Yeah, so this area is definitely more modern,
but it does have like a European feel to it.
Like almost Parisian.
Yeah.
Definitely a lot of restaurants are Europe themed.
If you guys are looking for a place to get dinner,
I highly recommend this place
because they have like a whole row of restaurants.
Alfresco dining.
So we've just passed the dining area,
and out here they have a lot of shopping opportunities.
They have upscale shopping to big chain brands.
They have Lululemon.
They have Carhartt.
They have On Cloud.
And they even have a mall right behind me.
So this is a great place to dine and shop.
All right.
I'm really loving this area,
especially if you really want to shop, you know?
Especially if you're a shopaholic.
Yeah, like Ann.
You know what I'm saying?
Jan's been like, oh my god, Carhartt.
Oh my god, On Cloud.
Dude, they have Bathing Ape.
They have like Carhartt.
And like what Ann said, if you want to go for dinner,
and then after, you know,
full with all the calories, you can shop.
Today we are checking out the shopping scene here in Shanghai, China.
It's madness in here.
Look, there's like a thousand people in this store.
Bro, this store is huge.
People going crazy for clothes.
All right, one down.
What the heck?
They got Canada Goose here.
It's crazy in here.
Shopping is crazy.
There you go, baby.
There's my spot.
There's one more for me.
Bye.
