Hello everyone and welcome back to the beautiful Italian countryside.
Today I will bring you to the heart of Umbria and my stay surrounded by nothing but green hills
in Tenuta di Murlo. The day started beautifully and slowly, like every morning here. A thin fog
that was covering the valleys at the first sun rays soon dissipated and the soft sunlight flooded
the whole landscape making everything look fully lush. After getting our breakfast delivered at
the villa, we had the table set out on the front porch for the best views, enjoying the sun,
the very light breeze and the chirping of the birds and the buzzing of the bees joyfully flying
morning skincare routine. Ever since I first started this partnership with Foreo Sweden a
couple of months ago, I have been bringing the FAQ 202 LED face mask with me on my travels,
which is perfect for these slow moments of just enjoying the landscape and the beauty around me
while looking after my skin. The FAQ Suiceb comes with several preset treatments, from quick
refreshes to anti-wrinkle treatments that take no longer than 15 minutes, making them easy to
incorporate into my travel routine. Alternatively, you can also use the mask without the app and just
select any one of the eight different LED wavelengths, each designed to help with different
expects of rejuvenation of the skin. Ever since I started using it, I have noticed my skin getting
smoother and firmer, and I am happy to share that with Foreo Sweden celebrating its birthday,
this is the perfect time to enjoy a very special discount. You can receive an additional 35% off

After starting the day with a beautiful breakfast and looking after my skin,
we decided to spend the rest of the morning in and by the pool and enjoying the beautiful views
all around. But first, let me take you on a quick tour of the villa, which is comprised of three
bedrooms, each with their own ensuite bathroom, a beautiful living room tastefully decorated and
feeling so very rustic, and a spacious dining room that can comfortably accommodate all the family
or friends for whenever you decide to have dinner in the villa.
The whole villa is beautiful inside and out, but standing in the swimming pool on a hot summer's
day, with these amazing views of nothing but the forested hills and the main castle
of the property in the distance, is a pure ode to relaxation and slow living.
After a couple of hours of dolce farniente, we got ready and went for lunch in the beautiful
and nearby Vocabolo Moscatelli. This is a small boutique hotel with a beautiful garden that gets
so very flowery in late spring and early summer and with a restaurant with beautiful views of
this old 12th century monastery, its church and the lush greenery all around.
While the sun kept coming and going throughout lunch, we enjoyed the beautiful selection of
very refined vegetable-based dishes rooted in the traditional Italian and Umbrian cuisine
and with a deep emphasis on the use of fresh produce from their own garden and local farmers.
I recommend generally going with the full pork.
It certainly didn't feel like two hours went by while we were enjoying this beautiful food
and calm environment around us, which only shows how much we love the whole place
and the kindness of the team. We still had time to go for another quick walk around the garden,
admiring the life that so vibrantly grew and prospered all around the property before heading
to our next destination. The very flowery town of Spello was our next stop and where we spent
most of our afternoon. Spello is a charming village not far from the city of Perugia,
with a charming maze of cobbled streets, arcways and alleyways lined with limestone buildings.
Spello is home to arguably the most picturesque streets in the whole of Umbria,
to the point that on every terrace, corner and balcony, no matter how tiny, it seems like there
is always enough space for a whole garden filled with vibrant and lush flowers, ensuring that the
village always looks so fresh and colorful.
This was one of my absolute favorite villages in the whole of Umbria
and I will soon launch a travel guide to the region with all my best recommendations,
which I will link in the description box below, once available.
After a beautiful afternoon spent in Spello,
we decided to head back to our villa in Tenuta di Murlo and enjoy the quietude
of the early evening over a glass of wine, watching as the sky changed into a myriad
of different soft tones from sunset, until the night sky finally covered the whole landscape
pollution for miles around to spoil it, we went inside and decided to light a fireplace too,
and spent the rest of our evening in full coziness.
I hope you have enjoyed this very slow day spent in the beautiful Umbrian countryside.
