Yes!
So no, we have nowhere to stay tonight or for any nights in the near future.
But we do have a sweet ride.
We have some new subscribers here.
Look at that.
We were driving earlier and I was like, is the engine on? It's like so quiet.
And we drove through like a big puddle, you don't even hear it. It's just like silent.
Or feel it.
Next level.
So out of all the things that we could do on this lovely sunny day today, we thought we'd head to the beach.
Right, about to hit the road. We're going to pick up some breakfast first.
Mike and Ellie have sorted out this insane car for this road trip that we're about to go on.
Really nice, so much room in here. It's going to be very comfortable.
And today it's raining as Lucy just said, so that's pretty good timing because every day we've stayed here we've walked out.
So very good timing.
Don't know how that's happened, but let's go.
Coming out this morning for our final breakfast at one of our favourite spots in Cebu.
Abaca Baking Company.
I think we're all feeling slightly, slightly tired.
It's the day after Sinlog for us.
So it was an amazing day yesterday.
We all got enough sleep. I think I got 8 hours.
But the weather fits our mood.
It does, it does.
Rainy and grey.
That's how my soul looks.
So coffee is needed this morning.
Then we're going to hit the road.
But yeah, great day yesterday. Thanks to everyone who watched that vlog.
We've been reading comments, replying to comments.
We appreciate that.
Morning.
Morning, thank you.
Just enjoying a nice beetroot, apple, carrot, orange, ginger juice.
And we have now booked somewhere to stay for the next two nights.
We were planning on doing a one night stay, then a one night stay.
But we find that when you do a one night stay, you drive somewhere, you sleep, you get up and you carry on driving.
So you never get to see the place you're actually staying in on road trips.
So the vlogs are edited and currently exporting and then uploading for tonight.
From two days ago.
Because we kind of changed our schedule slightly with Cinderella Festival.
Obviously we need to upload that on the day it happened, so you guys can see exactly what we got up to on the day.
But we're heading a bit later on now to somewhere called Malbol.
Which is...
South West Sabu?
I think.
Mike's nodding at me.
So we're heading there a bit later.
We know there's a few things we want to do there while we're there.
And also some things we want to go and visit around there.
And also having the car super handy so we can get in the car in the morning, head out, have a great day, come back.
We need to decide in the next few days what we want to do after that.
Because we are doing Cinderella Festival in Iloilo.
We need to decide whether or not we want to do somewhere before that or some islands around that.
George is pulling a face that I'm quite worried about.
I can't get in the car.
Oh you can?
You just need to change the phone number.
I did that, I changed it to mine.
Really?
Send it to me because I can upload it, I'm on wifi now.
Airdropped me the whole file.
Wifi struggles are always real on the road.
But it's all part of it.
Alright we've been in the car for a little while.
Way much more traffic than we expected when we first left Sabu.
It should have only taken maybe...
Was it supposed to be an hour?
30 minutes wasn't it?
I think we've been on the road for 2 hours.
But it has cleared up now.
We're in a different area.
How long left guys?
10 minutes, perfect.
10 minutes until we get our hands on some delicious Car Car Lechon.
Which we're very excited about because we're getting a little bit hungry.
And then it's back in the car and off to Malbol.
So it's a full on road trip day today.
With a nice stop for some cool food in the middle.
So good news, we've stopped at a Petron here.
Just before we get to Car Car.
And turns out there is a coffee shop just down this road behind the petrol station.
So we didn't think we'd find a coffee shop.
So it looks quite nice on Google Maps.
So we're going to grab a little coffee before lunch.
Freshen up a little bit.
Get caffeinated.
I love this.
I just recently discovered that I just have to tap here.
That's so good.
You never have to take the keys out.
And then you can never lose your key because it's always in your pocket.
It's always in your pocket.
Local brew.
Looks really cool.
Wow.
That's sweet.
Looks like a really cool coffee shop.
How long have you been open here?
We've been open for almost 3 years now.
3 years, great.
It's from Mindanao, Sultan Kudarat.
While it's 80%.
While the 20% is from Africa.
It's from Asia.
Oh nice.
Do you want to distribute?
Maybe you want to get some out?
Yeah sure.
Mike's up now.
Bit out of practice.
Nice.
That's really nice.
That's just like directly in the middle right?
Yeah.
It's like somewhere in the middle.
Try to take your time.
Don't rush it.
That was a bit too fast.
That's probably about as much milk as I want.
I've got a wiggle.
That's good.
It's towards this end.
That means I need to...
Let's see the taste.
Very nice.
Nice right?
Very nice.
A bit dense.
Very good.
Bibis lechon.
Here we only eat their lechon.
It's much safer.
This one is going to Malbual.
So you're here.
So once you pass the Rotonda you go straight.
So this is the market.
How was the coffee? You like it?
Really good. Thanks so much.
Good to meet you.
Such a nice place there.
People are just hanging out here.
It feels like a really nice local atmosphere doesn't it?
People are just chilling, drinking coffee.
And this is just at the back of a petrol station.
And on top of that we were able to ask him for
lechon recommendations.
A car car.
So we're headed there now.
Really really helpful. Super friendly guy as well.
Guys, bad news. It's closed.
It's been boarded up.
The tables and chairs are put away.
I think it's 5pm so maybe we're a little bit late.
I think I'm meant to go as soon as it's there.
Alright, keep tuned.
Let's see what happens. We have no idea.
We never have any idea, did we?
As you guys know,
anytime we go on a road trip
we always always always
pull over, make stops
because we need to get out and have a proper look at this.
This is an example.
We've just driven into the mountains a little bit here.
It was slightly cooler.
There's these beautiful hills and hills.
These palm trees.
And it's just so nice.
Good to stretch the legs as well.
Every now and then.
In the back seat of the car for a few hours
you get a little bit tight.
But I have to say
this is an incredibly nice car.
We've come a long way since Roche.
Comment below if you remember the videos
when we were in Roche
on our very first road trip together.
It feels so fun
to be travelling with these guys again as well.
And to be on the road.
It feels so natural and normal for us all to be together
in a car.
They're laughing their heads off at something.
But look at this car.
It's so nice.
I think now we're going to drive away.
Especially with this backdrop.
It's also
so nice
travelling on new roads.
Driving on new roads
that we've never been on before.
Never driven really in Cebu before.
I've never seen you sit like that.
I'm sitting a bit strangely.
You're leaning forward.
And now that we've travelled a lot in the Philippines
we can start to make comparisons.
And we've been saying,
that looks like this place
and that reminds us of this drive.
I think Lucy and I are going to be doing another road trip
at some point soon.
It's so nice having your own freedom, having your own car.
So maybe in a few months we'll do another one ourselves.
Look at this.
Incredible. So nice.
So we've just arrived in Malbol.
And we've come to
Altrove, which Lucy and I went to
in El Nido. If you remember when we first came to the Philippines
we found a really, really cool pizza place
in El Nido in Palawan.
Which we really, really liked. So when we were looking at Google Maps
this evening for a restaurant, this place
definitely got our attention. It was quite funny just now
because we had to park. Obviously the 5 Series
is an incredibly long car.
So we pretty much
the guy had to move
a tonne of these scooters
so we could park the car here.
But they were very, very accommodating for us.
Which was very nice. But we're all incredibly hungry
so we're going to head in for some food now.
We are incredibly happy. The food has arrived.
How is it? Very nice.
Amazing.
George, we need to eat. We're hungry.
Come on. Let's be honest now.
Check it out guys.
This is our room
next to Airbnb on the trip.
It's huge. I don't know if it's coming across on camera
but it's absolutely huge.
It's nice to have a little bit more space
than our last room
because that was very, very small.
Pretty nice bathroom.
Big bathroom as well. I haven't even been in here yet.
Nice.
Agoda. £20 a night.
Happy with that.
We're going to call it a night here guys.
It's about 9pm. I think we're going to try and watch something on Netflix.
And that's what we didn't do
this time last year.
This is when we would edit but I think we're going to get up early
in the morning and edit instead. Get a bit of sleep
and get some rest. And rest is very, very important.
Especially when you're daily vlogging.
Which of course we are on this trip.
So I hope you enjoyed this vlog.
Thanks so much for your support so far on this trip.
2020 has got off to
an incredibly good start.
So thanks for joining the adventure.
Thanks for joining the journey.
And we'll see you in tomorrow's vlog.
If you're not subscribed, please subscribe to the channel.
Give the video a thumbs up
if you enjoyed it. And we'll see you of course
tomorrow.
Bye.
