What to Do in El Tunco 👇

El Tunco is one of the larger and most popular beach towns in El Salvador. It’s affordable and offers a variety of activities for everyone.
1. 🏄🏼♀️Surfing: There are two breaks here: La Bocana (for advanced surfers) and El Sunzal (a soft wave perfect for longboarding). If you’re new to surfing, take a lesson from wayosurfshop.
2. 🌴Tamanique Waterfalls: Make sure to visit the stunning Tamequien Waterfalls. Check out my other post for detailed info on this adventure.
3. 🛹 Skateboarding: Enjoy the skate ramp at a local hostel and the pump track nearby. Skating through the streets at night is one of my favorite activities.
4. 🧘♀️Yoga, Gym & Ice Baths: Join a yoga session at Balance Yoga Studio & Gym at Vibes welness. It's only $6 for entry, and the owner allows us to have ice baths there if we pay for the ice.
5. 🛍️Restaurants, Shopping & Nightlife: Out of all the beach towns, El Tunco has the most shops, restaurants, and nightlife options. Explore and enjoy! The pizza place we ate at was Tunco Veloz Pizza

an American who will never live in the
US again here's a day of my life
traveling in El Salvador today I'm in El
tungko I recently got reunited with one
of my best friends Britney whose
actually family is from Els Salvador but
she had never been so it's such a
special reunion my board got damaged
during my last surf sess so we ventured
to go get it fixed then decided it was
time to go chase some waterfalls we
rented a scooter from Wild surf shop and
headed to the chinique waterfalls made a
pit stop to pick up some snacks we had a
local guy take us to the waterfalls and
our friend Emily decided to tag along as
well the hike was pretty easy because
it's pretty much going downhill the
whole time we got there but it was
scorching hot so by the time we got
there we were super excited and could
not wait to get into the water we hung
out at this pool for quite a bit it was
actually so much fun to go underneath
the waterfall we all couldn't stop
laughing and giggling we hiked up to the
next section and then our guide wanted
to get us some fresh mangoes but he
couldn't get it down with the sticks so
he resorted to climbing the tree what a
legend these mangoes were delicious but
quite messy the second session had some
places to cliff dive I was actually
really scared to do this jump and then
we found this other little area that you
can just slide down like a water slide
and this one was super fun then it was
time to head back and ho cow I take my
words back it was so difficult to walk
back up here we were dying and we
stopped for some fresh coconut water
which was incredible wasn't quite sure
how we were supposed to drink this our
guy showed us exactly how gave me the
energy we needed to finish the hike it
was pretty turn to drive so I could film
had such a blast and we headed straight
back to aluno since my board was still
damaged and we have the scooter for the
next 24 hours we headed to the pump
track a little bit outside of town and I
went skateboarding my legs were on fire
after this we went back got dressed and
got ready to go out and get some
delicious pizza we were so tired from
the day so we just went straight to bed
after this
