We Found The REAL Secret of BGC in Manila! Huge Vlogger Meet Up

Good evening, guys, it is the evening. Welcome to a brand new video. If you saw the end of yesterday's video, you would know that we right now are about, well, not right now, complete lie. In an hour and a half, we are heading out this evening with some other vloggers for a BGC bar crawl. We decided it would be a great idea to bring you guys along. So how this ends up, I have no idea whatsoever, but we wanted to explore our new neighborhood. We live here now. We need to know where all the best bars are. We want to try a few different ones out, have some drinks, have some fun. We've got Mike and Nelly coming over from Making It Happen. We've got Lois and James coming over from Lane Vlogging, and we've got Chris and Christina coming over from Mac and Teens. So it's a bit of a vlog squad meetup this evening. Lucy just said house party. It's not a house party. House warm, yeah, kind of. None of those guys have seen our apartment at all yet. So we're looking forward to having some people here. I've just been down to 7-Eleven and picked up some drinks. I found the biggest bottles of San Miguel that I possibly could find. So we've got two of these. This is just to have here. We're going to have like one drink here. Picked up some Heineken's also. We're just going to have a drink here. Those guys are coming over soon. We want to go to the gym before that, hopefully have a shower, freshen up, wear some new clothes that we bought. Already tidied this place. We've got some candles lit and stuff. So the first guest we're having, I guess like George said, you could say it's a little bit of a housewarming party but we're only gonna have like one drink here because we figured out only six people can sit down in here. So two people, two lucky people are gonna have to stand. George, as it's our place, that probably should be us. So, although I don't think we'll stay here for long but it'd be nice if everyone would be able to see the place and then we're gonna head into BGC. Where are we going? Here we go. Is there no one? Mike just got excited about something he's never seen before. Yes, two things I've never seen before. This mirror and that one. Wow. Just here. We've just been giving grand tours of the place. Takes about 30 seconds. So here's a fun story. In Makati, it's illegal to have mirrors that are larger than like 50 centimetres diameter. That's why you have that small freakishly eye-looking thing. The eye, guys. All makes sense. And also Mike just sat on that and I'm very not happy with him. So he's back inside now and the door's locked. Yeah. If this video gets a thousand likes, I'll just start walking along the ledge. No, he will not. So we're at this place now that in the daytime looks like a coffee machine. Coffee machine? Coffee shop. Coffee shop, but these doors open and then there's a bar behind it. So we're going to check it out. There's no name, there's no sign. I'm ready. I'm vlogging in a toilet and I've never done this before so it's a bit weird. But it's quite busy and loud out there but just to give you an update we are in this bar that we keep walking past it looks like a coffee shop but it turns out it's actually a bar. And we've met the owner and he says there's a lot of high quality alcohol here. We're not too sure what the bill's going to look like after a bit nervous but it's fine. And everyone's having a good time out there. I'm going to head out now and see everyone. They're going to be freaked out that I'm vlogging in the toilet but it's fine. Here they are. It's basically like a toilet in the wall. Great sight isn't it? Yeah. The food is completely different from anywhere else. Everything is very sour. So they use the sour for food. For patwan. And they give everything this amazing sour flavour. So the lechon has patwan in it. So we're currently discussing Philippines travel. Where Lucy and I want to go next, where Mike and Ellie have been. Where these guys should go. They're very fresh to the Philippines so we need to inform them of all the cool places that they should definitely check out. We're saying Siargao, Batanes. Legazpi. Oh Legazpi, yeah. So we just filled up one memory card there. Halfway through introducing everyone was, we've got Chris Grissini from Mac and Beans and Lois Jones from Lame Vlogging. And of course there's Mike and Ellie from Fortune. And apparently one of Mike's best friends looks exactly like James. By the way, do you remember the stories? Yeah. You see James is not quite caught. But he leaves me hanging. He's still leaving me hanging. I thought you were going to lose me. No! Alright guys, that place was totally unexpected. Completely crazy. We're now going to head to a place where apparently the bar is, I hope you're enjoying this video. It's so different for us but we're having fun. We're heading to a place now where the bar entrance, you have to go through a 7-11. It's like a secret bar. We've never been there before, none of us. We're going to check it out now. Let's go. They'll be like guys are you kidding you're back four times in one day. It's ridiculous really but we do love it in here so we're back. Cortado please. Double espresso? Double espresso. This is the number one place on a bar crawl. You want anything? What are you getting? I'm getting a cortado. It's like just quick coffee. Yeah? And another cortado please. So we got really lucky with the timing this evening. Toby's closes in two minutes. It's a bit weird getting coffee on a bar crawl at midnight but however. It feels right. It does. We need a little boost. We need a little pimp out. We've already filmed a whole daily vlog today. I think most of these guys have as well. But we had to film this evening. It's not often that eight vloggers get together so we definitely wanted to bring the cameras along this evening. And we're very very grateful that Toby's is open. The fort is where the four of us tried to go once on a Sunday night to show you guys the nightlife of BGC. Yes. And it was Sunday and no one was there. I remember that. It totally failed. But now there's loud music that I'm trying to speak over for copyright reasons and it's really busy so. There you go. Friday night is the night. Friday night's the one. Yeah. Friday might be better than Sunday. I thought Friday everybody's at home and it's deep frying food. Friday. Insert sound effect. So we're heading now to the 7-Eleven bar. I think it's called The Backroom. Let's go. And it's just next to the Minotaur Ramen bar which we were at last night. And yeah apparently it's literally the back of the 7-Eleven has a bar which is crazy. And I'm looking forward to seeing it because we've walked past the 7-Eleven many a time without realising there's a bar in the back. Okay we're walking to it now. And we've done mission hide vlogging cameras. Put the microphone and the big camera in the bag because we have a feeling it's a trouser only place that we're going to have to be a bit more secretive walking in here. So G7X and phone it is. It felt very exclusive even though a lot of you guys know about this place. It kind of felt, yeah we got loads of recommendations on Instagram. But it felt very exclusive like I don't even know the name of it. That's how exclusive it is. Very very cool. We nearly didn't get let in because of our trainers. Thank god James borrowed a pair of my trousers. How are you doing mate? Comfortable? Yeah? Have you tried out all the pockets? Yeah. Got my phone in there first. Yeah. Purses first. Yeah. Not my purse. Hopefully my old tissues aren't still in there. Oh mate. I think actually they're fresh out of the laundry so you're lucky. They'll be clean then. As we consume more alcohol it becomes harder and harder to film videos but we still want to bring you guys along every step of this night out in BGC. So I think the plan now is to head to the fort. Lucy and I and Nellie and Mike actually tried to go here in a vlog a long time ago but we were there on a Sunday night. It wasn't quite right. There was no one there. Why would anyone be out on a Sunday night? I'm not sure what we were thinking but tonight it is Friday so we are hoping there will be some more people there. Merry Christmas. We tried to get into the island. Apparently they don't allow any cameras in, so we couldn't even have this camera in our back pocket. No bloggers. They didn't like us at all. They were very... We offered to take the batteries out and give it to the people on the desk, but they said we had to leave our whole camera, which was worth a lot of money, and sat on a desk in front of hundreds of people walking past. And we said, no, that's not good. We understand there's rules. We tried to cooperate. We tried to offer our batteries and memory cards and stuff. We don't leave cameras just lying around when there's hundreds of people walking in and out. We respect the rules. It's disappointing that we weren't allowed in here, but nevermind. We'll come back another time. Maybe, maybe not. I think it's probably time to call this a night. We might head home. We might have to get some cheeky food on the way home. Just saying. Lois and James head off already. Chris and Christina have all said off. Nellie and Mike are heading out now. We've had a great night with these guys. It's been a lot of fun. Shame we weren't allowed to finish off. We were just wanting one more drink in the island because we last came on a Sunday, as I explained just now. And it's very busy tonight, but it's okay.
