Good morning guys, welcome to another daily juice. You join me underneath this very,
I was going to say wet umbrella, it's actually quite dry under here unsurprisingly as it is an
umbrella. We've just been to the factory to learn how to make a delicacy, a very traditional type of
food and we filmed that all and I think that one went live yesterday or the day before for you
guys. So hope you enjoyed that video, go back and watch it if you haven't seen it already.
Incredible morning, we're very lucky to have seen what we've just seen but now
we're gonna head into Legazpi and hope this rain stops because we want to do some more exploring
today and try a few more dishes and I think right now we're heading off to try some chilli ice
cream. George was like lift the other suitcase and he's like notification bell, notification bell,
we need to talk to you about this guys. I know we said it in the other video, a lot of you are
subscribed but you don't have the bell button on so please press the bell button and you get
notified every single time we subscribe, every single time we upload and recently it's been a
bit all over the place, the upload times. We aim for half seven every night but sometimes because
of internet, because we're having a busy day and only getting back late and starting the edit then
we upload a bit later. So if you have the notification bell on you'll always know once
you've uploaded a video, you'll get a little notification up on your phone saying they've
Good morning guys, it's our first stop today, we're gonna go and try something that's very
well known in this area, chilli ice cream. Is it called silly or something? What's the?
Chilli. Okay just chilli ice cream, so there's no Filipino name, just chilli ice cream. All right
cool. I don't know what I'm talking about. Jay was telling us that there are three levels of
spiciness, one, two, three. I know what one is. The spiciest one is a major eruption,
named after Mayo, I'm guessing. So I don't know, Lucy's very good with spicy stuff. You're having
three. We know the Bicol area anyway is, no, we know Bicol is known for its spicy food, the Bicol
Express is spicy, they use a lot of chillies. We're gonna try out some other food later on with
Finn and Sherilyn, but I'm excited for this. George can't handle spice. That's why we picked
up a quick bottle of water before doing this. Wow, so we're currently at the highest point
in the whole of Legazpi. We tried to head to the place for the chilli ice cream but it doesn't
open for another half an hour, so we've made a quick stop up here, just driven up this hill.
Come with me over here. Mayon is not showing today, very cloudy. Still looks cool. We got
lucky yesterday. We're saying we've done it perfectly here, because we did the ATVs in the dry
and then the day before we did the waterfalls where it rained a little bit, but it was okay
because we were in the water. And then today we're doing a little bit of driving around the car and
it's a little bit rainy, so we've actually planned this trip perfectly. Yeah. But look at this view,
this is the whole of the Legazpi town just here. That's unreal. You can see like all the little
bits of land in the distance with the sea. It just looks amazing, all like misty. This is like a
wallpaper for a computer or something. Definitely raining over there, but over there it's brightening
up. So, so nice. We're going to get the drone up, but there's a little bit of moisture in the air,
so we're not going to risk it. Look how quick that cloud's moving. Wow. Oh yeah, look here's
the blue sky. Awesome. Just stopped off again at what they call the boulevard, which is a really
nice stretch of road along. Wow. Look at the water on the camera. So still.
It looks like, what does it look like? Water. There's also a massive Legazpi sign here. You
know where you are. The scenery here is incredible. You've obviously got Mount Mayon,
which is stunning in its own way, but even the surrounding hills, the mountains, the water,
trees. Information, that is spelt with a Z. Ah, good point. We've seen it spelt in loads of
different ways, but the sign has a Z on it, so surely that means it's officially a Z.
When I say loads of different ways, I mean with an S or a Z, we've seen it spelt differently. I put
a little poll on my Instagram. Most people said Z. I guess it is a Z, not an S. It is a Z, yeah.
And apparently this is where the triathlon starts. So these guys are training already.
And there's something going on here. I'm glad we've come in here because as you guys know,
we love checking out the malls in the different cities we go to. There's an SM mall here. I haven't
been in an Ayala mall for a little while actually, but it seems like a nice one. It's a nice size,
not too big. And we just met the friendliest security officer who recognized us from the
videos. So if you're watching, very nice to meet you. Thanks for the hug. Are you ready for this?
Here we are. I've just asked on our Facebook page what level of chili we should try. So we'll have
a look at the comments and we will have exactly what you told us to have. We promise. All right,
let's do it. Good morning. Thank you very much. How spicy is Hokkaido? We have four levels. So
the first one is level one. It's aftertaste. Then level two is spicy. Level three is spicy.
And volcano level is super spicy. Really spicy? Yes. I don't try much. What? Can you work here?
Yeah, let's get a really spicy one just to try. Yeah. And then maybe a slightly less spicy one.
Do you want to try a chili ice cream? Okay. So one volcano, one chili? Yep. Sounds good.
Really? I'm a little bit nervous about this. A little bit nervous. Milk. Okay,
to like cool you down, right? But Jay said he doesn't even eat this himself.
I'm crazy.
So here it is. The volcano. It's like devil horns. That's crazy. It's so red. It looks fiery.
I'm scared. Me too.
We can get that. Wow. That's crazy. Thank you. And some milk. Thank you. Wow. I'm really scared.
No, you need this one. Oh, that's the best one. Wow. Okay. Who's going first? I'm going to try
this one first. No, you're not. Just to start off easy. You'll like that too much and then
that's delicious. No spice whatsoever. Very mild as you would expect from ice cream. Now,
the thing is I can't quite get my head around this because spicy ice cream, surely because it's ice
cold, you'd think that's going to counteract the chili. That's what's happening in my mind.
But I don't know. So I just go for it with quite a big scoop.
It's up to you. I mean, there's only a little shot of milk. I'll take this much. Okay. Okay.
I'm just going to... All right.
Oh, it's burning already.
Okay. It's coming. It's coming here now. I don't really like drinking milk.
Okay. That hits you way faster than it does in food. Normally in food,
you need a few mouthfuls and then it starts getting to you. But that's
right around here, around the throat. The taste is good. I am going to keep going. I'm going to
have more. I don't know if it's one of these things that gets worse as you eat more of it.
I'm not sure what the silence means. Do you know what's really weird? It doesn't burn
your lips. It doesn't burn your tongue. It doesn't burn your tongue like normal spicy food does.
Have I gone red? I've gone this colour. It all goes straight to your throat. You'll see what I
mean. Your turn. I can't believe the colour of this thing. Oh, you can really actually smell
the chilies. I didn't expect that you'd be able to do that. No, no, no. You need to take more
than that. That's quite a lot. I had way more. No, you didn't. Take more. Do it properly.
Is that good? No, more. What? More. That's ridiculous. No, that's good. That's good.
Straight in. Straight to the throat. I kept it in my mouth for a while to feel how spicy it was.
Wow. It's really good. It tastes a bit like, um, okay, what I'm imagining is a Thai red curry.
You've got the spiciness and like the creaminess. I really like it. I love spicy food. I love it.
You can handle it. Yeah. It's very spicy. My whole mouth's burning a little bit, which is fine.
I really like it. I didn't expect, I thought it'd be kind of one of them things where I'm like,
okay, it's hot, but it's more of a novelty, but it genuinely tastes really good. But that is,
that is spicy. But I'm going to have some more because it tastes good.
Jay, you trying? Yeah, I'm definitely trying.
Oh, it's crazy. For you, bro.
Wait for it. It's okay. It's fine. It's good. I can handle it. Yeah. It just tastes like
very good. We won. Yay. Congratulations.
Wow. Look at that. So we've arrived. Yeah. This is so cool.
This is, how old is it? I don't know. Maybe we need to go and read some signs. Yeah. Let's go
and take a closer look. This is such a nice building. Looks really, really old. Jay said
we're okay to go inside. Just trying to see where the airport is to see if we can fly the drone.
Yeah. I think Finn had trouble flying here. We might try. Where is it? Oh, it is very close.
Look, that's the airport. And that's like the line where they come in. No, this will be the,
I remember it was like a red fly zone. You can't even take it off from here. Oh, okay. That's okay.
Wow. So big inside. We're the only people in here. It's so big. Shall we walk down? Yeah.
This is crazy because we're the only people in here.
Wow. Okay. Taking a look back here. It's absolutely huge. I love how symmetrical it all is with the
lighting and ceiling. It's beautiful. How old? 1773. Wow. So that makes me really bad at maths
again. It's very old. Very old. Spanish. You did Spanish GCSE, didn't you? No. No, I did,
but I can't read it.
Is it a mix of Spanish and Tagalog? This church was built in 1773.
And that is me done. You're welcome. Guys, comment below what language this is. Let us know.
Lots of languages.
Just a little bit of a, oh, big puddle. We're doing the Gatsby tour today. We've now stopped at
the Pagsawa ruins. And when the volcano erupted, all these rocks came down and effectively
destroyed the church. So we're left with, uh, wow. We left some ruins. These rocks you see here
are from the volcano and it's very, very far away. So you can just see the impact that it
had when it did erupt. But now you can get an amazing view of the volcano and the ruins together.
This is a little bit of a tourist spot here. So there's people taking photos. Hi.
And it's a little bit busier, but still not that many people here. Don't walk in their shop door.
Any second now. Wait for it. Wait for it. I was waiting for them to poke their head out the
window, but actually they just walked off in another direction. So I stood there like a lemon,
but that's alright. Apparently there's a nice little photo spot down here. There's a spot
where everyone takes photos apparently. Oh really? Like that. Oh nice. Yeah.
Why Filipinos love to eat corn? Um, oh my God. I have no idea. Because Filipinos are corny.
