around the Philippines it's been absolutely amazing it genuinely has changed our lives with doing this full-time now this is what we've always wanted to do what we always dreamed of so to anyone thing for us I don't know we've been using it for years anyway we've been we've had this slogan we've been using on Instagram for a couple of years now so if you don't know Luton I actually started YouTube maybe four or five years ago now and for the first three years we had our old jobs along the side our normal kind of office II corporate jobs I worked for a media firm Lucy sold BMWs we were making videos for fun yes a couple of week it started it's purely off of me we never probably best our actual jobs we wish they would love to be daily progress we love that whole idea and we had to touch them in our lives very for us to look back on and also share it other people are interested in seeing in regard to and then I don't know it could be kind of just some queen deciding what if you travel if you don't know the full story we had 6,000 subscribers we quit our jobs he sold everything we owned got rid of our apartment in the UK and we booked a one-way to get to Thailand where we started travelling Southeast Asia August August to December we make day vlogs every single day they didn't take a single day off work really really hard on videos and people started to come into the channel watching subscribing usually but when it went inside I could be growing a little bit bigger when we'll be waking up with like a couple of thousand he's in a video and before that having woken up as a couple of hundred of like before that waking up at 10:00 like we literally make so great for I'm sorry exciter and we've not like had it tighter than the plane it's moving like a slow process and it's been like all-natural I don't know I feel kind of proud to say that we've worked our butts off finesse yeah but it's all thanks to you guys we can't do anything that we do if if it wasn't for you guys watching the videos and support in the channel so again thank you absolutely incredible coming up 200,000 cannot believe that so we're gonna quickly tell you the story behind the merch and how this all got started Lucien I worry about over a year ago we had these made up anyway just yourselves [Music] we believed in the message with anyone can do the thing they love if they put their mind to it if they work so hard on it they make small steps every day to achieve what they want to achieve so we just got like a black white t-shirt eat know wasn't was hoodies yeah wasn't heavy we got the t-shirts made I'm not sure yet and I'm certain we had a okay we just brought some faint ladies they've got a company Laura yeah so then fast forward to about I think it was January time yeah the channel was growing we were traveling the Philippines we ended up getting an email from a guy called Alan who said oh I'm sure a lot of you know and he invited us over to his place to film a cooking video it was a lot of fun that videos on the channel you can scroll down yeah we went there metal and maze team filmed this video had a lot of fun and then he mentioned to us about like the most he felt he had his like back inside hats and we've got new aprons and stuff before and he was that hard that this is the merch of what coming out I have a cup if you want sort of hey you must have a look and the quality was really good this is really nice and at that time we'd already spent around a hundred K and subscribers we want to start thinking about it and at that time the kind of same thing but something something and then we met a guy who does merch and the quality was amazing and it's someone who's now friends of ours so we completely trust them we put this he told us they'd start this company and merge by dot ph there's a load of other popular youtubers match on there as well so check out the website have a look so we had meetings we had emails phone calls lot discussion back and forth to sigh little tweaks getting it just right checking the quality yeah and we had sample sent to us in life besides being wasn't quite right on the letters and we want it to look much like our old ones as possible we went for a little while but obviously B travel quite quickly so getting the samples at the hotel that's been a bit difficult it's not easy and then we thought about
