How nice is this? So nice, amazing here, really cool views, it's very windy and it's a lot cooler
here which is perfect temperature for doing a hike. I think we're heading there, there, there, okay.
Yeah we're heading here.
Really nice stay here, oh can't forget Woody, really nice stay here at
Eight Suites in Tagatay City. Got everything? Bags, suitcases, camera bag, laptop, drone,
Woody. I think we're good, you, that's important. Cool, let's go, I'm excited for today.
So we're in the new car on our way to the boat but that's really not surprising.
Had a great breakfast at Eight Suites, I can't get over waking up to that view. So nice, so stunning.
This car is great, we're really, really enjoying it. It feels far larger, loads more room in the
back, it's higher up, it's powerful still. It's great over the bumpy roads here as well. Yeah,
it feels like we're hovering over the bumpy road, you don't feel anything. We've been on some kind
of like off-road tracks and it just flies over, you can just drive over it so normally. But we're
very, very excited for today, weather's good, it's not too hot here, it's more like kind of
Baguio temperature. Oh Baguio. What is it at the moment? It's 26 degrees, so that's a lot lower
than what we've been used to lately. So we're all up for a hike, bit of exercise and the view from
the top from photos looks insane. So guys, how's the whole new year, new us, exercising every day
thing going? Amazing, so good. How many workouts have we done since? I did push-ups yesterday.
How many? Push-ups. How many? 15. No, no, I did 15, then I did 10, then I did 6. Nelly made us a
delicious coffee this morning in our new Toby's cups, which is life-changing. To have good coffee
on the road, start the morning is a winner. Just parked up the car, it is blazing hot today. It's
so hot. Forget what we said a minute ago about the temperature being lower, it is incredibly hot in
midday sun. Mike is repping the Volkswagen hat today. Can you hear that noise as well? Hear that
chatter, the cheers, the announcement, that's some cockfighting going on in here. Sun creaming up,
safety first. Yes. Are we ready? We're ready. There you go.
Thank you. All right guys. Oh sorry. Sorry. So we're on our boat now, we're heading
away from this bit of land to the crater and I think we'll be hiking and then we get to see
the lake from the top. A little bit tricky getting onto the island. This boat's like a car,
that's crazy. The adventure has already begun. We had to like crawl through a boat. We just crawled
through, yeah, that was so funny. We made it. We're over here, the other side of the lake.
The volcano is up here. Now you can either take a horse ride or walk. We decided we're going to
walk because we want the exercise and I know it means we can stop and film stuff rather than
get on one of these horses. And apparently there's loads of different craters, so it's not just like
the one thing. There's loads of different peaks all over this bit of land. And a lot of people
get mistaken and think like this is the only bit of the island, but it's actually like loads of it.
It's crazy. It's really cool. You can tell the ground here, this is like volcanic. And yes,
the person on Instagram who messaged me about wearing my vans on the last hike,
I'm wearing them again. I don't have any good walking shoes, really need to get that sorted.
And just a quick note on that guys, if you do want to get more involved with the trip,
oh, something just flew in my ear. If you want to get more involved with the trip,
this is kind of like an interactive trip. Like we purely plan where we go, what we do,
where we eat, where we stay on your guys' recommendations. So if you follow us on
Instagram, you can get involved. You can message us, you can answer our polls. You can also see
what we're up to a day earlier than the vlogs. So if you're interested in some behind the scenes,
I'll quickly put all our, all our usernames here. You can follow all four of us and get
more involved with the adventure. So we, thank you. Follow the horse. Right. Just tap your face.
You've got to be quite quick then. So of course we're in the Philippines. Of course there's a
basketball court on the volcano. So crazy, isn't it? And I guess people live here, don't they?
Yeah, there's loads of Sari Sari stores here and people living. Yeah. Yeah. Some
houses here, some dogs, kids running around. Loads of dogs, loads of cows, loads of horses.
Brian at Tau Volcano Crater Tour has hooked us up today and he's also given us these masks and we
didn't realise we'd need them. But we've just seen all the horses going up in front of us.
And as a horse is sort of clip clop along the floor, the dust is flown into the air. So
we're going to put these on just so we don't breathe in dust.
So much better. Yeah. We look great as well. Let's take an Instagram here. Yeah. Wow. I've
never worn one of these. And it goes with your outfit, Mike. Yeah. Look at this. Look at this.
It's fully blue. You look like a doctor. Yeah, you do actually. So the hike's actually pretty steep
compared to the Mount Pinatubo one. That was pretty much flat all the way up.
Here's a bit steeper, but it's good. The only thing is, it's coming towards midday and it's
probably quite a bad time to do this because it's getting super hot. There's small shops or stalls
along the way. They're selling fresh coconuts, which coconuts are really,
really good for hydration. We should get one on the way down. So maybe on the way down,
coconuts are a good idea. Definitely.
I do a lot of mountain biking when I'm home in the UK. This would be great on a
mountain bike coming downhill here.
Wow. We made it. So nice. Really cool. Oh, cool. It's almost kind of so big and flat that it kind
of makes you feel dizzy looking at it. Yeah. All these different colours and stuff. It's really
cool. Wow. It was a strenuous journey. Yeah. I feel like I've got about 50% lung capacity
than usual because of my cold. So I was coughing a little bit on the way up, but it was fine.
We managed. There was a lot of horses though. It kind of got annoying. Horses are a problem.
Like for walkers, we were the only walkers. Everyone takes a horse, which is like, I don't
know. It kind of ruins the hike. No one says, excuse me. And you'll kind of just feel like
you're constantly in the way of a horse. You just have to wait for these horses. I don't think there
should be any horses here. The horse, they don't look good. They don't look well. They don't look
healthy either, do they? They look really sick. The people on the horses look more uncomfortable
than people walking. Yeah. They don't look like they're enjoying it. And it just gets super
congested. So it's kind of a shame. We understand that the people here have to make money and they
use the animals as a means to make an income, but it's kind of a shame. But we're here and the view
is incredible. So look here. The water level here is really high compared to the lake. Oh yeah. That
is weird. YouTube. Yeah. Yeah. The best thing to get some water back into us. We love a coconut.
Please don't drop my coconut. This is exactly what we need for some rehydration. It's been
chilled as well. You look like a dentist. Can we take this off of you now? Yeah. Okay. That's
better. I'm back. Oh, delicious. Good flavor. Oh, that's exactly what we need to take, to take us
back down. Oh, where are we going for lunch today? Here. I'm already thinking about food. Coconuts
were very much needed. I don't think I've ever drank a coconut that quickly in my life. Um,
but if you're a regular viewer of the vlogs, you will know that coconut is not the only beverage
that we need. It's been a few hours now since our last coffee. Um, luckily I think, do we have the
stuff to make coffee? We have everything we need with us to actually make some coffee up here on
the mountain. Mountain? Volcano? Yeah. Same thing. Volcano slash mountain slash lake. Yeah. All of the
things. A mal-cano lake. A mal-cano? A mal-cake. A mal-cake-y. And we have bread. This big wadge of
bread. Do you mind if I tuck in guys? I'm very hungry. Yeah. Mmm. Delicious. You guys are having
all the good stuff and the fun while I'm slaving away here on the drone, working for you guys to
get the amazing footage. That's what's happening. That's right. We do pay you. It's my birthday month.
So
now we have everything we need other than a massive, massive, massive, massive
lunch. We made it back to the car and we've been given some coconuts for the road. So thank you
very much to Brian and his team. You can find the tour company here. If you search this on Facebook,
if you're in the area, highly recommend it. Would recommend walking though over riding a horse. I
think you have a better experience walking. Yeah, I agree. Now we all need some food. The boat
right back felt a lot slower, didn't it? Because we were against the wind and stuff, but we got pretty
soggy because the waves were all splashing up. Uh, but nothing wipes. We are soaked through my
trousers. Well, my shorts are soggy, but it's all good. Oh, it's a big fire. Whoa. Whoa. Anyway,
we're off now to, uh, a, it's a resort, but it's also got glamping and we're staying in a tent
tonight, which I'm super excited about because I used to love camping. We've had quite a few camping
trips. Say again? Oh, I actually wanted to go glamping. Oh yeah, we did. Yeah. Anyway, we're
just all admiring the scenery cause it's amazing. It looks so nice around here, doesn't it? Yeah,
it's amazing here. So nice. It's like huge palm trees. You see all the mountains everywhere.
Really nice. Very islandy. It's might be because we're on an island.
