Why does she have to buy her own music back? Did some jerk try ripping her off?
Taylor Swift has broken her post-Eras tour silence, announcing she's bought back the
rights to all of her music.
Let's go live to our resident TayTay expert, Nine's US correspondent Reid Butler, who's
in LA.
Reid, this has been a long time coming for the singer.
Lizzy Taylor saying, you belong with me to her own music.
She's shaking off the bad blood and doing it all in style.
For those who don't know, Tay's been seeing red ever since her first record label sold
the masters of her first six albums to record executive Scooter Braun, an anti-hero, if
you will.
He's then on sold those masters.
It was death by a thousand cuts for TayTay, but she got her karma by re-recording those
albums and releasing them to her fans.
But what's better than that revenge?
It's getting the cash together to buy back those masters, and she has done exactly that.
Totally fearless.
It would have cost hundreds of millions of dollars to use money from her record-breaking
Eras tour.
Amazing result for Swifties and for music as a whole.
