Welcome to day 5 of the Adventure Country Tracks Romania.
This is our final day full of highlights and if we had to describe it in just three words
it would be Transalpina, Strategica and Transfaragasan.
Three of the best known places for motorcycle riders in Romania.
After changing plans yesterday and after re-scouting the final track later, this day now unveils
in front of you starting your ride just at the entrance of the famous Transalpina mountain road.
This is best described as an almost endless thrill of curves winding up the mountains.
And everyone is curious what the last 250 kilometers on the ACT Romania track will throw
at us after four full days of riding in almost any condition you can think of.
So this is the point where we will enter from the Transalpina to the Strategica which is
a pretty famous off-road track here in Romania.
We will ride along this green hill way up to the platform you see over there and I really
look forward to some more off-road today.
The weather is beautiful, the sky is blue and yeah, it will be great.
Yes, as Mirko just said, pretty much on top of the Transalpina, this famous track just
connects seamlessly.
It's well known by enduro riders in Romania, the old military road called Strategica.
And with its incredible tracks and with its even more incredible views, this is definitely
one of the highlights on the trip that you should not miss.
This terrain has a lot to offer and is one of the last challenges on your way to ACT's
finish line here in Romania.
The gravel roads can be damaged by water quite badly, but they will be maintained on a regular
basis.
So all the effort you will put in managing this part will pay off by the incredible sceneries
that are waiting for you.
And for the more experienced riders and with dry weather conditions, we will offer you
an alternative track to enjoy this part even more.
Rated with a hard difficulty level, the alternative might take some extra time, but the views
are just incredible.
One last break before we are about to head to the finish line.
As we don't want to be late like yesterday, now everyone needs to be focused for the last
part and here we go, entering the famous Transparagașan mountain road.
In many ways it's described as the best road of the world, so a 100% sure that you need
to ride it at least once in your lifetime.
Crossing the finish line of the ACT Romania just feels great.
It was a rough adventure that we had for scouting this track and it was a rough adventure to
ride this track with a group of riders that became a group of friends.
And this is also part of ACT, it's not only about off-roading, it's also about riding
on-road, off-road, about riding itself.
For sure, this is an amazing country.
People on the back country, where we stayed these last days, is very, very kindly and
for sure I will come back.
The first two days were the most interesting for me so far, because we only rode off-road,
through mud paths, through gravel, everywhere where you normally don't go.
Now, the last two days, I found the landscape incredibly beautiful.
There were long road stages, but also just a beautiful country and I can only recommend
everyone to come here, because you don't have to fly to Canada for that.
You can find it all here.
We have chosen this place as the end for the ACT Romania.
It's really an iconic place and that I think some of our fellow riders have also stated,
you must do this once in your life.
I would say that we have our hearts full of adventure, good experiences, good friendship,
amazing riding.
This has been five extensive days of riding.
We have done 10 to 12 hours every day.
It is the first time we are doing this under the umbrella of the foundation of the so-called
AV in Germany.
It's a charity organization.
We really want to keep those roads that we have been riding here, we want to keep them
open.
This might be a little easier in Romania, because many of them are logging roads, but
a lot of them also are tiny mountain roads.
And to bring the tourism into these little rural areas is really something special.
We have been staying in this wonderful pension or something.
It is just amazing how much love and detail people put in their houses here, how much
tradition is in there.
And this is what we want to share with you and this is what we want to ask you to support
when you are doing the adventure country treks.
The final day of the ACT Romania has 250 kilometers with some of the best highlights for motorcycle
riders.
Starting at the Transalpina, crossing the Strategica and finishing on top of the Transfaragasan
makes this day a very special and unique experience.
With around 1350 kilometers, the Adventure Country Treks Romania are now the third trek
after Portugal in Greece and we would like to invite you to download the treks, to ride
the treks and to become a member of the Adventure Country Treks Foundation.
Many thanks to this year's partners Touratech, Motorex, Suzuki, Sena, Nex, Metzeler, Motorbike
Times Free and Goodsouls for the organization.
You can find all information and downloads on adventurecountrytreks.com.
