Tyler's room finally gets some paint and she loves it! We are in the process of putting together their beds so the girls can start sharing a room to get ready for the new baby. And Tyler decides she wants to see when the baby comes out, but doesn't seem to know exactly WHERE the baby comes out!
I want to go to a mommy's doctor appointment and see that the doctors take the baby out of her butt.
That's not how it works.
We're the Murrays, trying to master the art of growing up one day at a time.
You can't use that.
Oh, you got yogurt on your face.
Oh no.
The information you were talking about.
Let me tell you, I'm going to teach you a lesson this morning.
Can I teach you a lesson?
In the Bible, there's something called fruits of the spirit.
That means the good qualities of your spirit, of being a person, when you have these good qualities.
Because fruit is really good, right?
Do you want to know what the fruits of the spirit are?
This is what the Bible tells us that we should have and we should be like.
Okay, ready?
Number one is love.
We should have love and be loving.
That's a fruit of the spirit.
Number two is joy.
We should be happy and joyful.
I want two muffins.
Okay.
Peace.
It means we should try to keep peace and not fight with each other.
I want three.
Okay, we should try to keep peace and not fight with each other.
Number four is patience.
I want four muffins.
We should be patient with each other.
You know what patience is?
It's when we don't get mad right away.
If somebody's doing something we don't like, we try to be calm and patient.
We try to just wait and see if we can fix it first.
Okay, don't get hit by a car.
That's my favorite one.
Next one, guys.
The next one is kindness.
You're supposed to be kind to others and do nice things and put others before ourselves.
That means your sisters.
You're supposed to think about them before you think about yourself.
Oh, good mom save.
That means that if there's a toy that you really want and Elena wants it too,
the kind thing to do and honoring her will be to let her play with it first even though you want it.
If you want to play with it, but you can't take it from my sister because if Elena wants it,
she has to ask.
If when she asks, I can give her my horse.
Yes, those are manners, but I'm saying that if Elena wants something that you have,
that being kind means that you would give it to her.
Even if you really want it, you would give it to her.
Does that make sense?
Mm-hmm.
Okay, also gentleness.
Mommy.
Gentleness is another fruit.
Mommy.
Yes, Elena.
Okay, gentleness means that you talk in a gentle, loving voice to people.
Don't fall off the horse's back.
No, don't fall off the horse's back.
Off the horse's back, got it.
Okay, so when you're gentle, it means that we don't yell and scream and get mad.
We don't throw things.
We handle it gently.
Don't hit, don't kick.
Right.
Don't push, don't pull.
And don't yell.
We handle it calmly and gently.
That's called gentleness.
That's a good fruit.
Faithfulness.
Do you know what faithfulness is?
Mm-hmm.
What is faithfulness?
Mm-hmm.
That's Daddy.
You see what Daddy is?
He's facing out.
Daddy.
Daddy, faithfulness.
Faithfulness is when you're faithful.
It means you're true to your word.
It means you say what you mean.
It means that people can count on you.
People can trust you.
It means that people, they can rely on you.
Like if you say you're going to clean something up, it means that you're going to do it, you know?
Mm-hmm.
We're faithful to our word.
Hey, listen.
And we're faithful to others.
Oh.
You all right?
Okay, there's two more fruits.
Listen, two more fruits of the Spirit.
Do you want to know what they are?
Mm-hmm.
Goodness.
That means that we try to do what's good.
What the Bible says is good.
You know what the Bible says is good?
Mm-hmm.
What?
What does the Bible say is good?
I don't know.
Well, it says the fruits of the Spirit are good.
Mm-hmm.
We should try to do that.
Mm-hmm.
It means we should try not to do things that are bad or that we know are wrong.
Like we don't lie.
Mm-hmm.
And we don't steal things.
We don't.
We don't hit or hurt people.
We don't push things.
That's right.
Okay, and the last fruit of the Spirit is.
Don't take Mother's wrath as food.
That's right.
That's a good thing.
The last fruit of the Spirit is self-control.
Do you know what that means?
Mm-hmm.
It means that even when you feel so mad or so frustrated, you don't act out.
You take control.
And you control your emotions.
So, come here.
Self-control.
Come here, please.
It means that we ask before taking.
It means self-control means that we.
Listen.
Life.
Real life.
We watch what we're saying to people.
We don't say things that we don't mean.
You know, it's easy sometimes to say something that you don't really mean.
That's not good.
That's not good self-control.
Did you ask for the muffin?
Uh-huh.
No, you did not.
Let me hear you ask.
Can I have a muffin, please?
I think.
Tyler's bedroom, getting painted.
What do you mean you don't know how to do this?
Do you want me to pour it in there for you?
No.
Alright, so we're going to the store.
Me and Judy and Tyler.
Wish me luck.
Because Tyler hasn't napped.
Alright, Tyler.
You ready to go?
Uh-huh.
Come on.
Put it down.
Let's go.
Alright, we'll bring it with you then.
Okay.
Judy, you ready to go?
Uh-huh.
No.
Why not?
Because breakfast.
Okay, cool.
Come on.
Let's go.
You can go.
Hey, where are your rain boots at?
On my knees.
Yeah.
This is the first time I've ever taken just these two out.
Ever.
Hey, Daddy.
Oops.
Open the door.
Did I break it?
Alright.
Let's get in the car, Judy.
Ooh, it's warm out here.
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Here, right here.
Oh, actually, other side.
Come on, Judy.
Here, want to hold the water?
Hold the water.
So, so far, Tyler is already being disobedient.
We just got in the store.
She's just running all over everywhere.
And be careful, please.
Stop running.
She's killing me.
Yep.
Tyler pretty much had a pretty big breakdown in Walmart.
Didn't get everything that I needed to get because she was just kind of being ridiculous.
So, that's why I didn't vlog much in there.
From the get-go, she was just being disobedient and not listening.
So, she had one of those full, all-out, crazy breakdowns that I've never had to experience by myself, personally.
It was hard because I had Jude and her.
So, I was trying to carry her out of the store while pushing her stroller while everyone stared at me.
It was good.
If you know what I'm talking about, give me a thumbs up on there because good grief.
And tell me about a good experience you had.
What may be the best experience you've ever had when your child threw a temper tantrum and just kind of embarrassed you.
Made you look like the parent who didn't know what they were doing.
That's exactly what happened today.
So, it felt good.
Yeah.
That's an update of our trip to Walmart.
So, here's progress.
It's kind of late.
But, Danielle's been busting it.
Getting this stuff cut.
Honestly, if I wasn't pregnant, I would be.
Boom.
I'm certain of that.
It's taking me so long to get up and down and have to get to the bathroom.
Yep.
So, Tyler's downstairs watching a movie.
Yeah, so.
We're hoping she'll fall asleep.
This paint really doesn't smell.
I mean, you can smell it if you leave and come back in, but it's not bad.
It's not like a paint used to smell poorly.
We've got a mattress on the floor in Alayna's room.
So, once Tyler's asleep and Alayna's asleep, we'll move her in there.
And, here is the final product.
I'm done.
Almost.
I still got one little wall to paint with chalkboard and paint.
Yep.
So, we're going to paint that with chalkboard and paint.
When I say we, I mean Danielle.
And then also repaint these here.
Is that the same color?
That I have?
Mm-hmm.
Cool.
So.
Tyler's purple room.
She wanted a purple room.
And I'm telling you, we were at the store deciding.
We'll have to find the swatches.
We picked, there were two, and I was like, Tyler wanted darker.
I made her go lighter.
And then I was like, man, maybe we should even go lighter.
So, there's like top three.
Tyler's choice.
What she settled for.
And then my like, oh, maybe we should go to the store.
And we asked them between the two.
And we ended up going with the lightest one.
The lightest one.
And we got it all painted white.
This is so purple.
But in the store, it really looked like it was, it's called potentially purple.
It looked like it was barely, right?
Didn't it?
Mm-hmm.
It looked like it was barely purple.
But once you get the whole wall done.
It's purple.
It's pretty purple.
I mean, it's not like purple, purple.
But it's a light purple for sure.
Yeah, yeah.
But in the, on the little swatch, next to the other one, it looked like it was like.
It was like, oh, that's.
Almost white.
Purple-ish.
Purple-ish, yeah.
Yeah, this is just, it's definitely purple.
So.
It's not potentially purple.
No, it's potential.
We know it's full potential.
Tell me what you think about your new room.
What do you.
What do you like about it?
Is your bed going to be put in here soon?
Mm-hmm.
New bed.
Your new bed?
With two beds so I lay in my, you put me in my room.
Yep, that's right.
Wait.
Do you like your purple walls?
When is the baby going to come?
I don't know, buddy.
Maybe in a month or so?
I want to go to mommy's doctor appointment and see that the doctors take the baby out of her butt.
That's not how it works.
No, that's when it, that's how her baby comes out, right?
Not quite.
What?
How does the baby come out of mommy's tummy?
It comes out of mommy's hoo-ha.
Yeah, it comes out of there.
You said her butt.
I said her butt because her butt is a hoo-ha.
Okay.
I don't think you quite have a grasp of how things work, but that's okay.
You're only four, so.
I know that.
We'll let mommy, we'll let mommy discuss that one.
Okay, daddy, daddy, did you find the Bible?
Yes, it's in this drawer over here.
We'll get it out.
Alright, can you say bye-bye to everyone?
Say bye-bye.
Bye.
Say I love my room.
I love my room.
Hug.
Say I love Jesus.
I love Jesus.
Hug.
A hug.
There you go.
That's so nice.
Alright.
Good night.
Good night, everyone.
