British Girl Tries Cambodian Food For The First Time!

[Music] good morning guys welcome to another tutor love we are nice I play nice nightly as I've known a lot hot boy having breakfast today at EA combo wait so we're staying in a moment and it's like an order I'm like a list of what you want I like the fresh cooked stuff and then you can go up and like help yourself to other bit so we've done that now for our coffees of course so that's really hot and it's super warm today so every other time in Thailand we've woken up it hasn't really been that sunny in the morning we went out onto the balcony where the Sun was this morning and it literally hits you've got air conditioning on our room it's the heat at like past 7:00 this morning we were out there honestly like it's something else it's very hot today it's nice it'd be nice guy in the pool later forever cool if I think I think that'd be very necessary on a day like today today's plan is to get set up here in Siem Reap Cambodia because obviously our phones on working now are Thailand Sims needs to go we've got meeting with the hotel manager here this morning he's gonna give us loads of tips about Siem Reap what to go and see Duke I think tonight we're gonna go and explore a night market which we love so hopefully one some pretty nice food left and also a place called pub Street which is very very famous [Music] [Music] we've come out now we had a quick meeting with the hotel manager there he was telling us about everything that they do hit all the projects and stuff some of the stuff that is amazing we'd only read about it online really before we were saying it yesterday's both actually hearing him and how passionate he is about this like charity that they're working a lot with like at university students with moments of the people that work for him or volunteer he's actually trying to send people to university through the whole program when you pay to stay there in the money you spend at the hotel a lot of that goes back into the people that both work with him and the rest of the community as well things like water wells and it was around 50% and people here don't have like a proper toilet to you seven people then don't have clean water it might be the way electricity as well as about eighty percent without electricity or something so they're doing loads loads of good work our plan now is to go out every in the middle of a road we need to find some clothes for going into a temple tomorrow because you have to like cover yourself up and whatever we just now go and explore temple tomorrow we are meeting on liquor bar dog with being picked up by a tutor driver at 4:30 a.m. yes tomorrow's an early one it's we need an early night tonight [Music] hello okay we're currently trying to navigate without any GPS because they have SIM cards yet so we've had to like take a screenshot of Google Maps and try and find this little place want to go and try out some food the kids they're so cute they're like waving at us from the wall and you hear that they're all singing in school Lucy's in love [Music] walking around with like big smiles on our faces the kids are so friendly here and they were like poking their heads out of the school like waving and saying hello us it seems genuinely really really happy that Corey don't speak much more English than hello so we were just going hello hello it's difficult get around without internet very difficult a we're going to try and find an ATM because we need to get dollars out the currency here is called real but the other currency that people the currency that we can use is American dollars so we need to have to get some money I've got no cash on us no internet the difficulty we have not having this and navigation on our phones properly is that the roads here they don't have that road name so I'm guessing what roses make through the roof of the building but I'm not all that's got a blue roof that one there we turn my net and I'm having to look up a building like this or not you're right I think it's done here lots of bikes everywhere it's now they actually drive on the right side here and not the left over needs to in Thailand and also back in England so they're kind of getting used to all this route isn't it right out today it feels so different to Thailand here spent ten minutes walking around and the atmosphere is like so nice everyone's really friendly it was very relaxed everyone smiles whether we compare this to in Thailand it's not Bank nowhere really they like pie maybe I think more Chiang Mai Empire okay but a lot less like there's hardly any roads like these are the this is the kind of terrain you get terrain thank you so now we're not about to film a sit-down video this is just how we have sat out of this place this is a place called love what's good love you restaurant and if you like the letter you not where you we got recommended to visit this place by our friend Laura who watches these vlogs thank you if this place is run by students and order like the profits from it go to pay for their study and stuff so we're more than happy to eat some cool food spend some money there goes to a good cause it's nice sighs it's a little road there haven't been any like main roads yeah it might just be the area where and I'm not too sure so we haven't actually tried much like Cambodia but I think I'm up is like a local dish that there Sam was telling us yesterday the guys in town fingers up should we try that yeah and they have a little bit of middle and age right a normally ingredients yeah and do they come in right there can be heard got to try them we've got a summer eh em er I'm up here which is like and chicken with vegetables mixed up themed inside of banana leaves and could the program milk and a myth one's a from like that it's inside to the atomic right and it's lettuce struggling so we're all good psycho tried curry so first impression of the food here very good that was so so tasty Lucy scared I'm gonna go we're now gonna go and check out pub Street which is well known and a local night market this evening sorry it just rained it just chucked it down with rain so though ground is all like muddy and slippery now very popular place to part your motorbikes here Wow trying to cross roads just as difficult as Thailand if not more there's no process but there's nice little redstone fights everywhere across the fridge still play mind yourself now because I love it I'm getting really good feeling as I said before I literally had no expectations Antonia walk forever I hadn't done much research we still happen which is weird to me as you know but absolutely loving it and it's quite nice I don't know what to expect because then I can be like this nice oh this isn't ice as a polar bear thank you so that there is actually a river I'm trying to document why I'm seeing loads are like cool little bars and restaurants sky looks super nice I read about this online earlier you can get your feet in the little words with the fishes and they nibble away the dead skin on your feet not sure how that would feel timber and laughing when they did it you show me that sure I'm worthy when they did it for a while so we're on the hunt actually remember to gone back in there for some trousers to end the tempo okay do $4 for dollar for dollar yeah five each sounds good to me got ourselves some new threads beautiful $10 bargain for two years thank you they were six dollars each of us he bought two she does the deal so 10 pounds excuse me I did the deal I did the deal you don't go so this is pops tree and this is really really well-known in Siem Reap online we're reading and parently they compare it to quote some road in Thailand now walking down here I mean it's only it's only 10:00 to 7:00 in the evening so I'm sure later this gets a lot more lively but it's smaller and it's more chilled out really nice atmosphere nice bright lights everywhere the kind of sad thing though is that there are a lot of children out is trying to sell stuff to tourists and you didn't see that Thailand it was all adults on cosine Road some of these kids are really young like this girl that we just saw selling these little light things no one's really paying much attention to her I think that's because that's the advice that you're given like when you read online from even from the Cambodian government they encourage you not to buy things from children you feel sorry for them so you want to buy and want to give them money but the more people to do it the more it encourages that kind of behavior and that kind of practice so if the parents of these children and see that they come home with lots of money tonight I'll then put them back on the street tomorrow night and not put them into schools and things so it's basically - it makes them less likely to get a proper education interesting for us because compared to Thailand you didn't see any of mr. tile install we're seeing a new place it's interesting to see you know they they look okay but it is Lee Ann I know they're really young kiss and they're out on their own trying to get money off tourists they if you see any kids trying to say stuff as sad as it is like and as much as you want to like they're adorable as much as you want to buy something just don't because it encourages a cycle to keep going and there's a lot of scams out there like already we've been told about so so many scams we're thinking of making a video just about these scams out there and to give you a bit more information if you're thinking of coming to Cambodia because we didn't want to get caught we did some research before coming here on the line the most common scams and stuff so we're thinking of making a whole video dedicated just to the scams of Cambodia because there are so so many a lot of them involving children pulling on your emotions and stuff that is only natural just like when we were walking through crossing the border these kids were like tugging on my shorts Oh aye sir sir and you have to ignore them it's horrible you obviously smile at them and say hello or whatever the advice is not really to interact with them and that's difficult that's what united states that was literally a like five six minute drive home we started walking and then the de streets that kind of dark so it took to came over I was like you want a ride and it was one dollar to get back so kind of worth that I think we're gonna go for a quick swim as well now but we have got an early start tomorrow so it'll be a break but we're so excited for
