Hey guys! Welcome back to my channel. I am so excited.
Today is a very special video because we have a very special guest, okay?
We are doing a full face of Danessa Myricks makeup by Danessa Myricks herself.
Oh my god, I'm dying.
I love you.
I know, I love you. Are you kidding me?
People loved that full face video.
I've been loving Danessa Myricks for years and years and years and years,
and it is such an honor. I am so nervous.
No, I'm so nervous.
Guys, I've been telling her how nervous I am because I'm a little starstruck.
I'm a little bit obsessed with her.
No, if I'm here, I'm a little bit shaking.
If you see my hands going like this, it's okay. Everything's okay.
No, and if you see me shaking here in this chair, everything is also okay.
I'm so excited, you guys.
You have no idea. I've been waiting for this moment my whole life.
I love your makeup. I think the quality is next level.
I told you guys this, but I discovered Danessa Myricks makeup from my friend Gabby,
who's been a makeup artist for years and years and years.
Hi Gabby!
Hi Gabby! Shout out Alamar Cosmetics.
Yes!
She's had Danessa Myricks makeup in her kit for years,
and it's literally a makeup artist staple, and even not for makeup artists,
because I'm not a makeup artist and I use these products all the time,
and it's some of my favorite things, so I can't believe we're sitting here today
and she's doing my makeup, guys.
Oh, also, we're going to be doing my makeup inspired by,
obviously using Danessa Myricks, all the cherry vibe stuff,
inspired by our cherry-coated collection that just launched at Light Slacker,
which, thank you for that!
So exciting that we're doing a little collab here doing cherry-inspired makeup.
I'm literally shaking a little bit.
No, stop!
I'm sorry. Look how stunning she is.
Look at this eyeshadow, this sparkle.
There's no sparkle like a Danessa Myricks sparkle.
I love that so much.
I'm so excited.
You know what I love the most?
What?
How, like, makeup connects people.
Absolutely, I agree.
I agree.
How would I have ever met you?
I know.
And had this interaction.
And Gabby, how would I have ever known Gabby?
Exactly. I love the community that we've built here, like my subscribers and everything.
It's just like a close little family.
It's just, I'm so excited.
I tell people all the time, like, what we're doing with the brand, we're not making makeup.
We're connecting hearts and minds through beauty.
And I'm going to cry a little bit because, like, you're so special and this is amazing.
Okay.
Get it together, Danessa.
Stop it, stop it.
We're doing makeup today.
Yes, we're doing makeup.
I'm excited. I'm ready.
So, this is so inspiring.
Oh my god, thank you.
Seeing all these colors, the textures.
I love that you have, like, this, like, really deep, rich matte.
But you have different versions of, like, very cherry situation that really, like, lit a fire under me.
Really?
Yes.
I love that. I love your, like, berry tones of makeup as well.
We did this collection because a lot of people have been wanting us to launch, like, a black cherry.
We have a lot of, like, cherry and reds in our nail polish collection.
But we don't have any deep, like, black cherry colors.
And so, we did this little trio.
We have a metallic, a jelly, and then, like, a regular cream.
And yeah, it's, like, a fun way to wear, like, sexy reds and very cherry coated.
I love this.
So, I want to make it, we want to, like, combine it.
Nails and face.
Okay.
And I love that you use different finishes, different textures.
I mean, that's my thing.
Yeah, that's your thing.
I love, like, layering different textures together.
So, we may use, like, these tones but with different textures just to give it more dimension.
And, like, yeah.
I'm excited.
Listen, this is your canvas and you do whatever you want.
Oh, my God. No pressure at all.
Here on my channel, there's no pressure.
Okay, okay.
Safe space.
Safe space. Such a safe space.
So, I am obsessed with your face.
No, stop it.
No, seriously.
And the crazy thing is, is that I know no one needs makeup.
But, literally, I think I told you right before that I don't want to mess up your face.
Because, like...
You would never?
No.
You know, one of the things for me is that I really like for people to look like themselves.
Same, same.
And so, I'm just, like, I want just enough.
Yeah, I like it.
But I do want the juice.
I love that yummy juice.
We need the juice.
So, and that's usually how I start, honestly.
I just kind of think about the person's skin type.
I think you're more dry.
I have very dry skin, yeah.
Okay, so I got you.
Oh, this is great, because I get to, like, triple juice you.
Oh, yeah. Triple juice me up.
Love that.
And I'm always wanting to connect the face with the body.
So, I'll probably put a little on your body, too, just so it all kind of lives together.
I love it. I love it.
But because I love, like, when you do your makeup, it's like you're still there.
Yeah, I really do.
Don't get me wrong.
There's always fun, like, glam days.
But I like to just enhance.
You know, like, just look like me, but a little bit more enhanced.
Yeah, I love that.
So, less is more for me.
Like, when I do my makeup.
But I do love a good glam beat, you know?
So, we'll probably meet a little bit in the middle, because I want to use these bright, berry tones.
And sometimes it's nice to have maybe a tiny bit more coverage, just so that the color really shows.
But I also want to do some really nice shaping.
And to keep the skin looking fresh, I like doing it underneath.
So, we'll do a little underpainting.
I love underpainting.
We're going to just do all of the things, all right?
I'm ready to do all of the things.
Well, I want to start with juicing you up.
And so, if you're dry, this is the magic.
I was going to ask you about this product, okay?
Because I have it in my collection, but I think, like, I just, I don't know how to use it.
So, I've never really used it.
So, teach me.
So, this is 98% natural, and it's all skincare, basically.
So, if you think about all the collection of skincare products that you would use just to make sure that your skin is plump and ready.
Just imagine this is all in one.
But the whole intent of this, you know sometimes when you have your favorite skincare, it doesn't really work with your makeup?
I designed this so that if you have super dry skin, you need that excess, like, deep hydration, moisturization.
But you're going to be applying makeup.
This is designed for makeup to go right on top.
Oh, I love that.
Okay, okay, okay.
It looks this color, but this color is just from the natural ingredients.
But this is really nice.
I've had so many comments from people who, like, have eczema, who are like, oh my goodness, it saved my life.
Oh, yeah?
She's major.
You don't need a lot, but you can put as much as you need because, again, it's designed to be worn with makeup.
And I like to use a brush that's a little dense.
I need these brushes.
Oh my goodness, these brushes?
I love those.
Oh my, all right, we got to get you these brushes.
They look real juicy.
This is a collection that I did with my K.C.O.
And, like, we both put together all of our favorite things.
But I'm, like, huge on complexion.
So, you know, the different densities of the brushes make a difference in how the makeup applies.
So, like, I'm very specific.
But this brush, it's kind of dense, so it kind of mimics a finger.
If you are at home, you just throw it on your face with your fingers.
But this is dense, and so I can really, like, press it into the skin.
And I love this because you get, like, this deep, deep moisturization.
Because a lot of times you'll put, like, something super hydrating on the skin, but when you put makeup on top, it kind of slips off.
Exactly.
Yeah.
Which is why I was, like, I want to design my own prep steps.
The prep steps in my collection are really, it's basically our skincare.
But I don't want to scare folks.
I'm just, like, this is a prep step.
But basically, I think that's the key, really, to makeup application is, like, how you start is how you finish.
It's something that I always tell people.
So, before any product, you want to just make sure that you get your skin to baseline first.
So, if you are dry, you really have to make sure that, you know, when you're dry, you get the flaky skin.
And also, the products won't sit as well.
At all.
Yeah.
So, it could be, like, the best product in the world.
Everybody loves it, but you won't because the skin really has to be brought to baseline.
Yeah.
That's why I can't do, like, certain heavy foundations or concealers and stuff.
Because I just feel, like, because my skin is so dry, it doesn't, like, it almost sits on top.
It doesn't, you know, it doesn't go into my skin.
And that's why the skin really needs to be plumped out.
Like, that's really the importance of, like, hydration and moisture.
Like, if you look at the difference between, like, this side of your face, it's like, I'm obsessed.
Like, here, I'm, like, 29.
And then, here, I'm 33.
Oh, my goodness.
No, you're literally, like, 15 on both sides.
I don't know who you've been talking to.
Stop it. Stop it.
I'm enjoying this moment.
This is a diary moment.
I'm enjoying this moment.
Guys, I am, like, freaking out on the inside.
You have no idea.
I'm freaking out on the outside.
I'm so excited.
Oh, my God.
You should tell everyone.
So, how did you start?
Like, how did you become Danessa Myricks, you know?
Oh, my goodness.
Tell the folks.
Quite by accident.
Like, I tell people all the time, like, I was so disconnected from beauty, actually.
I felt so unpretty.
People used to tell me all the time that I was ugly, like, in elementary school, junior high school.
Kids are the actual worst.
In my work life, even, they were like, you're not that attractive.
What?
Oh, yeah.
First of all, you are stunning.
I love you.
Gorgeous.
No, you are really, really, really beautiful.
But it's crazy how, like, one, I wasn't seeing myself represented in the world of beauty at all.
And then, two, people were reinforcing that you're not that beautiful for most of my life.
So, like, it's really ironic that I'm doing makeup because that would be the last thing that anybody would see me ever doing.
But I used to work at this publishing company, and they published, like, beauty magazines.
I was doing sales and marketing.
And I really got a chance to see beauty up close in a different way.
And they used to hire, like, just everyday people, regular people for models.
And I got to see, like, makeup artists, like, really transform just the average everyday person.
They were transforming people who look like me.
So I was like, ooh, okay.
Maybe there is a space here.
And it just brought out all the creativity that was kind of hidden inside of me that I was afraid to bring out.
And so when that company closed, I was like, wait, I got to go get a regular job?
I was like, no, we're not doing that.
I'm going to become a makeup artist.
Wow.
And so I just taught myself how to do makeup.
I love that.
In my basement, reading books, Sam Fine, Kevin Aucoin books.
Oh, my God.
Kevin Aucoin books.
Yeah, those are classic.
The making faces.
Like, yeah, that was my jam.
Yeah, Danessa walked me through.
We did, like, a little tour of her studio and her warehouse and stuff.
And she has a section of, like, her iconic products when she first started the brand.
Tell them about the DVDs.
Oh, wait.
You got to tell them about those DVDs.
Most of your audience probably doesn't even know what a DVD is.
Oh, stop it.
No, seriously.
They're in their 30s like me.
Okay, so remember when we used to take things and put them inside DVD players?
Before YouTube, before Instagram, before TikTok, that's what I used to do.
I had a whole series of step-by-step DVDs.
It actually is what got people to know who I was.
That's crazy.
It sold all over the world.
Like, before YouTube, you had to pop in a DVD and learn, like, a makeup video.
That's so interesting.
Yeah, it's kind of, yeah.
That's kind of cool, though, like, that you were able to really get your name out there
because that seems, like, very hard.
It's very hard.
But, you know, we're going to hear something funny.
When Instagram came out, they were like, you should really put some stuff on Instagram.
And I was like, no, they only let you put 30 seconds.
My DVDs are two hours.
And I just didn't even look at Instagram.
I could have had millions and millions of followers.
Oh, my God.
That's insane.
I was scared.
And I was like, they're not going to want this.
And now, look.
Wow.
Silly me.
I get you, though.
I'm always, like, reluctant to change, too.
Like, I'm just, like, set in, like, my old school ways.
And, like, every time something new comes, like, it's hard for me to jump on that and,
like, adapt and evolve.
It's hard.
Yeah, it's something I'm working on.
I'm getting better every day.
Yes, you are.
You're doing amazing.
Thank you.
You're doing amazing, too, sweetie.
Look at us.
I know.
Look at us.
Look at us, guys.
This is a beauty wand.
I'm going to use this on top.
When I'm doing makeup, especially for somebody who has dry skin, who I really want things
to, like, deeply penetrate, I use microcurrent.
Do you ever use that?
I have.
Like, I have something like this at my house.
I'm like, wait.
Do I need to be using this?
Yeah.
You use it even pre-makeup because what it does, it plumps up the skin.
Like, it warms it up.
So I guess it makes it more, like, yeah.
Yeah.
Like, everything penetrates deeper.
So this one, I have to be touching you in order for it to work.
That's how it works.
Oh, OK.
You feel that vibration?
Yeah.
So it's just a very comfortable feeling.
But it just, whatever skincare, it's like if you're in a rush and you're like, oh my
goodness, I just, I got to throw on my skincare, my moisturizer, whatever, and you, maybe you're
traveling, maybe you know you're going to be on camera, this is a way to really, like,
have all of your skincare penetrate.
That's amazing.
It makes a huge difference because it just wakes up all of the blood vessels.
Things start moving.
Ceci's like, I'm taking notes.
I'm going to start doing that before I do my makeup.
OK.
Literally.
I love that.
Yeah.
And you don't need to do it for a long time, but it just, like, really makes a difference.
And it helps, like, your skin cook.
I like it.
Yeah, it's nice.
And you can see, like, the blood is flowing all through your face.
It just kind of wakes everything up.
Things penetrate.
And so that's what I do.
That makes sense.
I love that so much.
I like to put the glow serum on top.
This is also all about hydration.
Like, the clinical studies on this, the hydration of your skin increases by 108% as soon as
you apply.
Wow.
Yeah, it's major.
No, I love this.
I love this yummy skin.
I like the pink one the most.
All right.
Well, then we'll do this.
No, no.
No, because it really doesn't matter.
Like, every skin tone could wear every shade.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
We're going reds and berries.
This is totally fine.
That's right.
But the cool thing about this is not just the hydration.
You have a glow that's everlasting.
Yeah.
And it has a really beautiful priming base.
So I'm going to put this next.
I love the formula of that because it just feels different from my other glowy primers.
Like, I have a lot of primers that, like, you know, make the skin look glowy.
But, like, the consistency of that one, it does feel like a serum.
It's more serum-y and just...
I don't know how to explain it.
It's, like, more hydrating.
I love it.
Good.
So you like this more?
No, I love it so much.
She said she likes it more.
Good glowy.
I'm such a baby.
Primer.
I feel like you're talking about my children.
I'm like, you like her?
I mean, I get that.
Okay?
These are your babies.
They are.
These are my babies that I love so much.
What is your favorite product you have ever launched?
Oh, my goodness.
Now you're asking me to choose between my children.
Yeah.
I am.
Okay, well, if you say...
I think I have two favorites for two different reasons.
The number one favorite, I would have to say, is Color Fix.
Mm-hmm.
Color Fix is so good.
That's the first product that I actually manufactured that wasn't made in my basement, that was
actually made at a facility.
Wow.
And to this day, it's still one of our top-selling products because it literally, it kind of
represents, like, who I am as an artist and, like, what I want all of our products to do.
It literally represents, like, artistry and the at-home artist and all of that as well.
Exactly.
So she stays a fave.
And I like to put this on the body, too.
Ooh, I actually haven't tried it on the body.
The gold one must be really gorgeous on the body.
How'd you know?
That's where I was going.
Oh, perf.
I'm gonna add a little bit of a golden glow on the body.
It's nice because, again, this is also a primer, so it just locks in the radiance.
It's nice for, like, a little night out, a little date night.
Look how pretty that is.
Wow.
So it looks like your skin, but just a little bit more kissed by the sun.
Yeah.
Yeah, healthy.
That's actually, that's a perfect word.
So what's your second favorite product?
Color Fix.
Thank you for keeping me on track.
The second is Balm Powder.
Oh, the Balm Powder.
The Blurring Balm Powder.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Because, like, that was so much work, and it was literally, like, an opportunity for
me to take, like, a concept of how I used to layer products together to get a certain
result, and I was able to make it into this one thing, this balm that's easy.
You don't have to be a pro to use, but it just does a million things.
That one's also great for dry skin because it's, like, a way to kind of mattify, I guess,
without having, like, powder.
I get you.
Powder on my skin is, like, a no-go.
So something like the Balm Powder is perfect for, like, a dry skin.
This is why I tell so many people.
It's like, they're afraid, but I'm just, like, the whole idea behind Balm Powder is, like,
not everybody feels good with powder or looks good.
Right.
And powder sometimes amplifies texture, so, yeah.
Like, I could never bake.
Oh.
Like, bake my face.
Do you know what?
I would look 85 years old if I...
I would look 85 years old if I baked my face.
So something like the Balm Powder really is perfect for you dry girls out there.
Check it out.
I'm actually going to use a little on you.
I'm going to use the Universal Radiant of the Burn Balm Powder.
So you get the blur, but you also keep your glow, which is super important.
And this also comes with a little spatula.
I'm going to use the tiniest amount because I'm just going to use it in your T-zone.
I love the texture.
Yeah, see?
See that little golden...
Mm-hmm.
Nice.
And this works on all skin tones.
I can wear the same one, too.
I love that.
So I thought this was important because just, like, you're in my head because there are
a lot of people who felt the same way.
Like, they're like, is it just for people with oily skin?
I'm like, no.
No, yeah.
It's really about blurring and also about that oil and sweat control.
And even if you're dry, you still...
Right.
You don't want to look, like, oily either.
Exactly.
Especially in your T-zone area and stuff.
Exactly.
So we're just going to keep it there.
Yeah, I'm not even using as much as I pulled.
You smell good.
Oh, thank you.
Wouldn't it be weird if I didn't?
You're like, can she hurry up?
So are you wearing perfume?
Oh, you know what I wear?
What are you wearing?
I wear Egyptian Musk Oil.
That has been, like, my favorite for the beginning of time.
Just the Musk one?
Yeah.
They have, like, a really good, like, Amber Vanilla one.
Are you kidding me?
From that brand.
All right, well, this is happening.
It's really, really good.
This is happening.
I'm a Musk kind of gal.
I love a good Musk.
Musk and perfume is, like, my favorite thing ever.
You smell nice and delicious.
Thank you.
All right.
I mean, look how juicy you look right now.
It's so good.
I feel so hydrated.
Look, yeah.
And I love that your body and your face, like, you just look healthy.
That was, like, the perfect word.
I looked like an old grandma 10 minutes ago, and now I'm nice and healthy.
Never that.
Love this contour.
Ooh.
Do you use Light 1 or Light 2?
No, I usually use this.
Yeah, so I'm going to go for Light 1 for those of you who may not know what it is.
Close to her skin tone.
Just going to do a little bit of shaping.
And so I want to put it underneath the foundation just so that we address the shape without actually changing the tone of your skin overall too much.
I find that when you put it at the end, it tends to do more than what we actually want.
Yeah.
I've noticed that too.
Like, when I apply, like, my cream bronzer and stuff, sometimes it just doesn't look as natural.
Exactly.
So putting it underneath.
I know a lot of people feel like it may seem a little scary, but it's really not.
All right.
So I'm going to use a smaller, denser brush.
Love that little brush.
This is my little trick for, like, the forehead.
Because everybody's like, how do you know how much forehead to contour?
So for everybody's forehead, this bend happens in a different place.
Like, your bend happens to be right here.
Anything after the bend, it starts to smush your face, right?
So I don't want to smush your face, but I do want to frame, like, just right through here.
I have a big old bend.
To have a five head.
My forehead is huge.
That's hilarious.
I've been called, like, five head my whole life.
No, but actually...
You're like, no, but yes.
You're so silly.
But you see how, like, right here is really the zone.
So I like to, like, get it to there, and then I kind of just blend in that space.
Highlighters have kind of died out.
I know, right?
Isn't that insane?
I'm bringing them back.
I'm going to bring it back.
But, you know, they're still here, but it's more...
I think it's more just...
Wait, hold on.
Hold on.
Because the two high...
These?
Those are incredible.
No, this.
That, to me, is, like, next level.
I love this one and the lighter one that's, like, white with, like, a...
Oh, my goodness.
I was going to use that today.
To me, like, these...
I'm kind of over powder highlights.
I'm not going to lie.
But cream highlights, I'm still all about.
And these make your cheeks look wet.
Right.
Exactly.
It's like a whisper instead of a scream.
Yeah, exactly.
Okay.
So this, I'm just carving out the jawline.
And I'm going to tap over it with our complexion later.
But this is just creating, like...
For you, this is, like, kind of like a warm shadow.
It's not too cool.
I love the shade because it's kind of in the middle.
Yeah, I agree.
I don't love, like, something that's too cool to contour.
I know contours are a cool tone.
But I like something that's a little bit more neutral.
Thank you.
Because...
And I've been saying that for the longest.
Not everybody looks good with super cool.
And unless you're, like, a refined artist who knows how to balance it out.
Like, sometimes people just walk around with stripes.
Like a gray line on your makeup.
Yeah.
How did you get into makeup?
Like, what made this your thing?
Honestly, I used to watch a lot of YouTube videos.
Like, in high school, I was obsessed with makeup tutorials
and watching YouTubers and all of that from, like, 2007.
When YouTube first started.
And beauty videos from the very beginning.
I was obsessed.
And I was living in Mississippi.
And I had no friends in Mississippi.
Like, zero friends.
And I was like, okay, I'm just going to start, like, filming in my room.
I'm like, let me try it.
Let me just start doing makeup tutorials myself.
I have nobody to talk to here.
Let me just give it a go.
Be my own friend.
Yeah.
And, you know, it went from there.
And here I am.
It's really exciting.
It's so cool.
So, again, like, people underestimate the power of beauty
and how it, like, brings people together, brings communities together.
It's crazy how something that seems, like, superficial, you know, like makeup,
can be so, like, powerful and uplifting and bring people together and, you know?
Yeah.
I say that all the time.
And so I could never leave this industry.
Because it's changed me.
It changes people just in general.
Yeah.
All right.
So whenever I do this, I make sure it's blended.
I know a lot of people like to just leave it there.
But I like every part of the application to feel like if you had to get up and run,
you wouldn't look crazy.
All right.
So to blend it down.
And this same tone I would definitely bring throughout the center of your face, too.
I'll take, like, a smaller brush just because I think anything looks natural
when you mimic it in multiple places, which is why monochromatic looks are amazing
because you're mimicking, like, a similar tone in multiple places.
And so it looks like it's a part of you.
Yeah, I love a good monochromatic little, like, lip, cheek, and eye moment.
Yeah.
I think I built a whole career based on that.
And we're not doing anything crazy because you already have very strong, defined features.
This is really just about continuing the tone so that it looks natural.
All right.
And so just the frame is just kind of there.
Nothing in any detail.
Just framing it out.
So I'm even going to do the concealing first.
Love this yummy skin concealer.
Oh, my gosh.
It's so good.
I appreciate that.
I really wanted to create a concealer where you just need a little bit.
It sets on its own.
So if you're somebody who doesn't like to use powder, a.k.a. me.
And me.
Yeah.
You don't need to add another layer of something that might be texture building.
I typically don't set my under eyes with powder at all.
I love that brush.
This brush was designed to look like a finger.
Yeah, I love it.
It's so cute, and I use it all the time.
So I actually have two colors.
I have three and six because I like to do something close to the skin tone first
and then just brighten.
So I'm just going to put a little of this.
And it's a little bit deeper, but I'm just going to use it on the outer ends here.
Because sometimes we can do a little bit too much with concealer.
Yeah.
For me, less is more.
Yeah.
Same.
We go to the same.
Less is more school.
I feel like we're the same person.
I know.
Our strategies are the same.
So I like to just put a little bit on in the beginning.
And then if more is needed later, we'll add it later.
But literally, I just want to see the area brightened without too much coverage.
I'm also going to be using the tints.
I love the tints.
They're so good.
I love it.
It's my favorite out of your base products.
What do you like about it?
I have very dry skin, and I feel like it makes my skin look so glowy.
It doesn't sit on my skin.
It's so hydrating.
I love it.
So I feel like you could wear both four and five.
Yeah, it depends.
But I think more four right now.
When I'm nice and tan, five is perfect.
I usually don't use a lot.
I'm just using that drop.
And I'll go in with a fuller brush.
I'm going to go in with a 1.0 brush.
And literally, I just get it all over the brush.
When I'm doing my own face, I just use my fingers.
Yeah?
I don't know why I can't put any type of foundation products on with my hands.
Even if it's a serum, like a tint that you would normally put on.
I put on serum all the time on my fingers.
But there's a lot of people who are like that.
I can't.
When it's color involved, they're like, no.
Yeah, so this is definitely you right now.
I'll just do a light layer over everything.
All right, so this is where we'll all start having fun.
Yeah.
Because we have to bring in all this cherry berry situation.
I'm going to start with Color Fix.
The thing about Color Fix, if you guys haven't used Color Fix before,
she's super, super pigmented.
Super duper.
Super pigmented.
So a little bit goes a long way.
Less is more.
I'm literally going to put the tiniest drop.
And I'm going to use some residual from the concealer.
If you don't want to use this directly on, because some people may be afraid.
Because it's like, oh, high pigment.
Oh, scary.
You could just add it to your complexion.
I need one of these little Danessa Myricks palettes.
She's cute.
So I'm going to take a little.
So this is like a super bright cherry red.
And that's like the matte Color Fix, right?
Because you have like the matte.
Yeah.
This is why I'm obsessed with your collections.
Because you know, it's like you need that variation of texture.
Because each one of those textures make you feel something a little different.
But if I take a little bit of this, and you
see how there's a little bit of concealer on here,
it just kind of like softens it.
And also you have a little bit of your complexion in there.
So it feels a little bit more controllable.
And I'm just, I went right in on your bare lid.
Because Color Fix is good for that.
Yeah.
Like you don't really have to prime it.
It kind of, it's like a primer in itself.
Exactly.
And some people use it only as a base.
Like they've never even tried it on its own.
They just use it as a base for shadows.
But I just kind of use it on its own.
Yeah, like your nude ones.
Like the more like brownish nude ones.
Yeah.
Are really good as like bases.
Yes.
So I'm just taking this.
And before it sets.
Because this sets to a 24-hour wear.
So we definitely want to blend her.
I'm actually going to even pull her out on the edges.
You have like eyes for days and nights.
Right.
And so I'm just taking, like literally I use less than a drop.
But mix them with a little bit of your concealer, your foundation.
It just gives you more time to kind of blend.
I actually want to pull it out into the temples.
Now the thing about Color Fix is she won't move.
Like literally if you want her to last 36 hours, she will not fail you.
Even the glitters.
It's insane.
Like you have like the shimmery ones of the Color Fix.
Locked completely in.
So I like to have it look a little bit more intense to the lash line.
And then I just blend up.
And I'm using a fluffy brush because it just allows you to just kind of feather.
So I'm just pulling it out on both sides.
And then I'll use like a bigger brush to kind of go over the rest.
So this has no color on it and I'm just using it just to kind of feather out the edges.
I want to mimic like some of the finishes that are in your new collection.
But to do that I feel like I need for it to look a little wet.
And so there's a lot of different ways to do that.
Like you can actually make it wet.
But I like to do it in a way that lasts a long time.
So I like using like either a balm or using like a sparkle that kind of looks wet.
But not really.
Okay.
Can I show you something?
Yes.
Like no one has seen this yet actually.
Oh is this the product that you guys are about to launch?
But I feel like it could look really...
Oh my God.
Show me.
Okay.
By the time that you guys are watching this video this has already launched.
But in real time it has not launched yet.
So I'm very excited to see this.
I hope you like it.
Oh my God.
Show me.
All right.
What is this?
It's a new version of Color Fix.
In a stick form?
No way.
Do you think people will like it?
Yeah.
I think people would love that.
Oh my God.
I love like glitters in stick form.
They're so convenient.
Oh my God.
Let me see.
I'm so excited.
You like sticks.
Okay.
No.
I love sticks.
Okay.
My face is hurting.
I'm smiling too hard.
Okay.
So there's two finishes of Color Fix that I interpreted into a stick.
Okay.
The metallics and the foils.
The cool thing about this is that...
You know what?
Our Color Fix is 24 hour locked in.
She's not moving.
You need oil to remove her.
Like five days later, you can still look like that.
But there are some people who are never going to do that because that scares them.
Right?
And so I wanted to make it super easy and I also wanted you to be able to take Color
Fix on the go.
Like not in a tube but in a way that's super easy to use.
And so the stick.
So one side is a metallic finish.
The other side is a foil.
And I love that it's like Color Fix and Color Sticks.
That's so cute.
And the cool thing about it, this whole thing is magnetic.
Like you can use the full stick just like this.
But you can mix and match different colors and shades together.
That's some really innovative packaging.
Thank you.
I love that.
Can I touch it?
Oh yeah.
Touch it.
Oh my god.
Okay.
I'm like a baby.
Okay.
So...
I love that.
This is made of water and pearls.
That's it.
You get the same long wear but it's no commitment.
It's easy on and easy off.
I love that.
I love a good easy on, easy off.
And so this little piece at the top, you can toss this.
You don't need it.
Right?
But look how beautiful and pearly that is.
Oh my god.
That looks insane.
I just need for you to touch this.
Can I put this on your hand?
Yeah.
Okay.
Oh, it feels cold.
Right?
Oh my gosh.
You feel the water.
You feel the water on your skin.
And then it just evaporates and leaves you with like really beautiful pearls.
That is stunning.
It looks like crushed disco balls.
I love...
We should have named it that.
That's so cute.
I love it.
But it gives you like that shine.
Obsessed.
I'm obsessed with that.
And you can do this while you're waiting for the bus.
Like you can close your eyes and put it on and not be afraid.
I love that.
That's what I really love about it.
I love it.
And so it'll stay on all day, but when you're ready for it to come off, you just wipe it
off with...
Oh my god.
Yeah, look.
It's on there.
Wow.
That's so pretty.
I love glitter.
So I feel like...
I love the sparkle.
This can give us a wet look.
Now, you could do direct application or if you want, you could put it on with a brush.
Maybe I'll show both.
And the other side is the metallic version, right?
Yeah.
So the other side...
So the foil side has more like dynamic pearl, and then this is the metallic side.
So pretty.
You see, it's more like a...
You get more base.
Oh, but it still has that really pretty like crushed sheen.
Yeah.
I love it.
And then together...
Oh my god, that's stunning because it has that deep base, but it still has really pretty
shimmer on top.
So imagine using this as a topper for that.
Yeah.
So stunning.
Oh my gosh.
I love it.
And so you have a range of different shades, I'm assuming?
We have 10 shades.
Holy crap.
So basically 20.
10 sticks, two shades each.
Damn, that's a lot at once.
I love that.
Because I couldn't stop.
I couldn't stop.
I was like, wait, we need one more.
We need one more.
No, we need one more.
So I'm excited because I feel like this is just going to look wet and pearly on you.
Oh my gosh.
I love the feeling.
And you don't even have to drag it.
Like, I'm literally just tapping this on your lid.
Oh my gosh.
I'm going to be obsessed with these.
I literally want to die because that looks so sexy.
I love it.
It's like a cooling effect.
That's so nice.
This is so good.
And so the cool thing about this is that, you know, not everybody feels confident wearing
like a gloss lid because they're like checking their lids all day to make sure it still looks
wet and the makeup is intact.
But this gives you that wet look without it actually being wet.
And it's going to last.
Oh my goodness, this is crazy.
I'm literally just tapping it on.
And you can tap it on to get as much coverage or as little coverage as you want.
So somebody who's shy, they can just do a few taps.
This is amazing.
Wow, that looks so pretty.
I can't.
Oh my God, that looks so pretty.
It doesn't look wet right now.
Yeah, always put the cap back on because literally this is water.
But if you wanted to like mimic that effect, we could take like a duet balm and put it
on the brow bone.
So you still get like that dewy finish there.
Because sometimes when you put it like directly on the lid, don't get me wrong, it's gorgeous,
but then it creases.
Yeah.
And like it's hard to.
Exactly.
It gives the illusion that it's like wet all the way through.
I'm obsessed.
I love that.
So now we want to bring this cheek to match these gorgeous eyes.
We're going to go in.
I love this blush.
This is Red Velvet.
Red Velvet.
So good.
And I also love that you guys came out.
I think it was for Sephora or something.
Your little mini ones.
I take those little circles to travel with me everywhere.
And I've used it a bunch.
There's like a peachy one that I've used a bunch.
Is it Rose and Brunch or Bellini?
I forget the name.
Oh, Jubilee.
But you can use that forever.
You'll never run out of that.
And it's this big.
It's not a very good business model.
But it's really great for value for a customer.
You can take those little circles into your little bag,
and they don't take up any space.
No, I love it.
I love this formula.
More to come.
You need more like unbothered.
More with that flip and unbothered.
I swear to you, I'm not just saying this.
Every single time I wear that blush, people are like,
what's on your cheeks?
Because it just has this like, what's the shift in it?
It's like a purple or like a pink.
Yeah, it's like pink.
Peach and pink.
Yeah, it's pink, peach, and a teeny bit of purple.
Yes, and every single time I wear it, they're like,
you've got something going on.
Is that a highlight?
I'm like, no, it's literally one product,
like this balm blush that has like that glow and dimension.
I am obsessed with it.
You need more like that.
OK.
All right, noted.
All right, so this, you know, a little bit goes a long way.
But I actually want to start from here and work down
just so we have like more of the concentration of the color here.
And then with the color fix underneath,
it just kind of all plays together.
So when you start from the top, it'll fade out as you get to the cheek.
And so I'm just going to blend it all at the end.
So I was debating, I was like, do we go bigger on the eye
or bigger on the lip?
And I think bigger on the eye and cheek is definitely your vibe.
And I'm making it a little bit more editorial
by bringing it up into the temples.
You definitely are giving Victoria a secret model.
Sorry.
I've never given a model of any kind ever.
No, for sure.
Like, it's so funny how everybody underestimates like their beauty.
But literally, I was afraid to touch your face, ma'am,
because I'm like, I'm going to mess her up.
No, there's no way.
This is what I'm learning as in my 50 years,
that all the things that we think we don't have,
we've always had it our entire lives.
We're our biggest critics, too.
Why is that?
It's with women, I think.
I don't think men have these issues.
What do you think you're thinking about for your next collection?
Or what do you want people to feel with this collection?
I always like to ask that question.
Definitely like sexy and bold and daring.
I love my color palette for nails is actually, I love a pastel.
I'm a very spring color girl.
Like, give me all the pastels on my nails.
But this collection, I don't know, makes me feel like kind of like bold and sexy.
No, it's very, I feel like you're going to break out into song.
That's what it gives me the vibes like.
I love it.
Like Moulin Rouge.
Yeah, something like Shakira.
Yes, like something she would wear.
I just think like red colors are just so sexy.
No, it's so true.
Red lips, red nails.
I totally agree.
Yeah, I'm just taking that little residual and just use that to tap around.
Do you still, obviously like you have this empire and stuff,
but do you still do other people's makeup sometimes?
No, not really.
That's why I was freaking out.
I mean, I do makeup on like Teach Me Tuesday.
Every once in a while, like I just recently did like Mindy Kaling for Press Junkie.
Oh my God, I love her.
But she's amazing.
She's amazing.
I love her so much.
She's amazing.
I did Met Gala for the first time.
That's awesome.
Every day of my life is not this.
That's why I was like, oh my God.
No.
Wait, I'm practicing on you right now, basically.
I'm practicing on her right now.
But it's so different like now like running the brand like this.
Like you don't have time for that.
It's not even like if I had a choice of what I wanted to do all day, it would be this.
Yeah?
Yes.
Because all the inspiration comes from like this.
Yeah, yeah, exactly.
So this is both scary and fun right now.
I feel like the lips have to be like this, like a kiss.
So like this you can get like a little, you can go full coverage or you can go like a tint.
I'm like right now doing like a tint.
So like depending, are you somebody who always needs like a strong lip line or do you give
yourself like grace for just kind of gloss?
I'm curious.
I'm a lip liner person.
Like I, because I kind of have like smaller lips, I feel like I have to give them some
definition.
Unless it is like a, sometimes when I'm doing like a no makeup makeup look, I'll put like
a pink gloss on and I won't put a lip liner on.
If I have like a soft pink, I don't mind.
But like any type of color, like brown, red or like orange, I love orange lips.
No, for something like this, like a soft tint to the lips and stuff, like I don't mind.
You like a tint or like, what's your vibe?
I mean, I can go either way.
No, I can go either way.
It's about your comfort level and like what.
I can go either way.
No, you have to tell me something.
You have to pick.
I'm a Virgo.
Maybe like a little, a little liner.
Okay, we'll do a little liner.
I actually want to put a little bit more color too.
So I want more connection to the eye.
Do you consider yourself a founder or do you, what do you, how do you?
Honestly, it's hard because I am the worst like CEO.
Founder and CEO, like I can't do anything like CEO or boss.
But you are.
I'm such that on the creative side of things though, that I love like creating the colors
and planning things out.
But when it comes to like organizing and you know, like I'm really bad at that.
Wait, the execution?
Yes, I can't.
I'm like so bad.
I have all the ideas, whatever, but I'm really bad at organizing.
But for me, that's really what it is.
It's like, there's all different kinds of CEOs because I feel the same way you do.
No way, you're a Virgo.
Yeah, but like I'm a creative Virgo.
Okay, okay.
So it's a little different.
But I feel like it's the ideas that really are the magic.
Of course.
So don't minimize your CEO-ness because nobody can do it like you and nobody can do it but you.
So, you know.
Thank you, I appreciate that.
I love this palette.
I'm going to use this to line your lips.
It's so good.
Oh.
This is like my favorite of all time.
So the pomade texture was designed to like mimic like a pencil.
So you know when you have like a wooden pencil?
Yeah.
It's like creamy but dry.
That's exactly what this.
Yeah, I love these pomades.
But I've never tried to use it like as a liner.
Oh yeah, I mean this is all I use.
I just travel with my Groundwork palettes and it's literally all I use.
Oh my God.
So I'm just going to like softly line.
It's nice because it literally, it's dry.
So just like you would do with like a pencil liner, you could do the exact same thing.
And I'm just using like the fluffy edge of the brush because I don't want a harsh line.
But you definitely want to get the shape in there.
That's like the perfect brush for that though because it's, I feel like it's point and like it's very precise.
You get the fluff and you get the precision at the same time.
So it's actually really cool.
I'm just like feathering out those edges.
This is a lot of pressure since you are the lip master.
No, no, no.
I'm not the lip master.
I just love lip products.
Let me give you a baby over line.
A baby pout.
I love a baby pout.
See, who said you can't wear a monochromatic red look and not be wearable?
Who said that?
See, who said that?
Who are they?
Let's go find them.
I really do feel like anybody can wear any look.
How do you feel?
No, I agree with that.
Yes.
It's really about confidence level.
Absolutely.
That's what I love when people play because I think they discover themselves in the process of playing,
which is why I like making fun products because people get to explore themselves in a different way.
I'm just using this brush just to kind of clean up the line a little bit.
I'm using the tint on the brush just to perfect it.
But I love people doing something that they've never done before and then they get complimented on it
and it kind of opens them up to want to try something else.
That's why I love all your glitters and shimmers and all your sparkles because it's so fun to play with them.
That's what I think.
What is the name of that palette?
The one that's like the genius palette with the three things and you can put them all together?
The Lightwear palette.
I am obsessed and it's so easy to travel with because you're just like put them in a little stack and they're magnetic.
Like what?
I'm obsessed and you're obsessed.
It's genius.
Do you know I stacked it and never unstacked it?
Like literally that's all I use is the stack.
I'm like I'm officially a stack person.
So I'm using the Flush again but just with a fluffy brush just to get like a little bit more soft blurred color.
I feel like this cherry has definitely come to life.
So can you use that on your lips and eyes too?
Like this?
Oh yeah.
This gloss?
So everything Color Fix you could use everywhere.
You want to throw it on your body?
Go for it.
And we continue to redesign the formula just to make sure that every pigment and every color could be used everywhere.
Oh awesome.
And this goes right on top of the Flush without moving it which is actually cool too.
And using groundwork on the lip also like it doesn't move.
So just like a pencil it stays.
So it's designed to like kind of work like this if you were using a kajal or a crayon.
Same kind of vibe.
I need to use it in that way.
I feel like you look like an angel.
Your eyes look so sparkly.
I'm obsessed with that.
And what's cool is sparkly but it's not wet so it won't move which is really so cool.
Well that's yours.
Welcome to the world of Color Fix Stix.
Yes.
I feel like you have like the most beautiful lashes.
Like your lids look wet.
No it's insane.
On the camera like I'm like my lids are like water.
Oh my gosh I love that so much.
Are you obsessed with your lashes?
Like do you feel like very blushed?
I've been using like a lash like a natural lash serum.
Like in the past six months that I feel like I've made like a big difference in my lashes.
Your lashes look shiny, healthy.
Thank you.
Is that TikTok called lash serum?
It looks like you have mascara on.
You have little stickers.
Oh my god yeah I love our little accessories.
That's so funny.
That's amazing yeah.
Can you pull them on and pull them off like?
These are tattoos.
So we have different ones.
These are tattoos that you apply them like the same way that you would apply like an old
90s tattoo that you have to like wet.
Shut up.
Yeah so you like grab it, you dip it into the water and then you apply it on your nail
and it looks like art on the nail.
It doesn't look like a sticker.
Like it doesn't look like there's something there.
I'm obsessed.
It's really cool.
Oh my god I love that.
Whenever I go get my nails done my nail tech is like a French again?
She's like you're so boring.
But this French is like shiny.
It's like a pearl French.
Right she threw it on me.
That's super cool.
A chrome French.
And I'm like okay I am Miss Chrome.
I can do a chrome French.
You are Miss Chrome.
But I feel like I love the idea of being able to control it myself and like add fun things
to my nails with just water.
How do you remove them?
Nail polish remover just like dissolves.
Ooh.
All right you're just giving me a new way to play.
Yeah it's so fun.
Which I love.
Is there anybody like do you do nails yourself?
Do you like do other people's nails?
Is that like something that you get enjoyment out of?
I used to love doing my own nails.
That's kind of like how I started with lights lacquer.
I used to do I had bins and bins and bins under my bed and I was like a very natural
I don't like like going to the salon.
I always did my nails at home.
And there were so many like polishes that just like I didn't like their brush or I didn't
like their formula.
And I was like you know what I'm just going to.
I think Lashpolish brushes suck.
Yeah a lot of.
Yeah.
No thought.
Ours is like a really good thick paddle brush.
User friendly.
Beginner friendly.
It's amazing.
So that's kind of like.
I'm going to need for you to do my nails and decorate it with hearts and cherries.
We have really fun accessories as well.
They're like little gems.
And I use them on my face all the time like as makeup.
Like little gems on me.
Instead of on my nails.
I put them on my face.
I'm obsessed.
You're an angel.
No you're an angel.
I kind of love you even more.
I don't even understand how that's even possible.
No stop.
Oh my God.
I've had so much fun.
I look like a majestic goddess right now.
You are a goddess.
I mean you basically look like how you walked in.
No.
No way.
But with a little bit of.
But with less 90 year old skin.
No.
Anywho.
Wow.
You're so beautiful.
Oh my God.
Inside and out by the way.
No you're so beautiful inside and out guys.
No no.
Honestly.
No you.
She's even more amazing in person.
If that is even.
If that even could be a thing.
It is.
Thank you.
This has been so fun.
Oh my God.
It's like I want more.
I want to put like more.
But I have to leave your face alone.
I love it.
Your lids look like.
Wow.
No wow.
The angels have arrived.
No like I.
My makeup looks like it like goes.
You know.
Right.
Angel singing.
It does.
It's such angelic cherry makeup.
I'm obsessed with it guys.
No I'm obsessed with you.
No.
Thank you for allowing me to be here.
Thank you so much.
I don't want to get makeup on your shirt.
Thank you so much.
Give it to me all.
The hug is way more important.
Oh my God.
