Disney lost their shit when Selena and Vanessa did this movie 😂😂
First of all, oh my goodness, the fact that you guys did most of this movie in a swimsuit,
that by far would have had me like saying no.
Were any of you guys self-conscious about doing the swimsuit movie?
No, I mean I think that it's spring break, it's in the name, you know, you're bound to
be in a bathing suit and we were surrounded by hundreds of people and just that, and blessed,
you know, and I think it's amazing, our characters being arrested, being put in jail, they don't
have time to grab a cover-up, you know, it just adds another level of vulnerability to
our characters, you really feel for them.
Harmony was always reminding us that these are real college girls, they don't have Pilates
trainers, you know, they're like downing beers and eating chicken nuggets, so we were able
to relax a little bit.
Were there any scenes for any of you guys that was like completely uncomfortable or
something that you were just like, no, I just can't do this, I don't want to?
Harmony made us feel super safe, I mean, he never forced us to do anything we were uncomfortable
with, we just like created a little tight-knit family, I mean, it was our first sex scene,
which was terrifying, but we did it, you know.
It was in a comfortable environment, I mean, it was only Harmony and the DP and then me
but us and James, so it was definitely nerd-rocking, but any time we felt off or we didn't feel
like something was right, Harmony would always come in, and with any scene, he would always
come in and make sure to fix whatever it was, and for us to always be comfortable, because
that was important to us, it would show on screen, because a lot of the movie was improvised.
And I have to say that you guys played the heck out of that too, like I was like, oh
no, they're really, really into this right now, like this threesome is really happening
in front of my face, and I was like, I couldn't believe it, I really, really couldn't believe
it.
But then there were some other parts that I heard James help coach you through, was
that true, Selena?
Oh, no, it wasn't necessarily coach me through, it was a scene I did with him, Harmony and
James had talked about doing that scene like two weeks or a month before, and they told
me five minutes before I shot it, so I was terrified, but it was more of having the comfort
of James being super supportive and giving me an incredible performance that I just wanted
to be on his level with, so it was more that he was challenging me, and he just, when it
was over and done, he just gave me a big hug, and it was really encouraging, because it
was a very scary scene to shoot.
What would you say to a Disney audience who's gonna go see this movie?
Well, they probably won't be allowed in, because it's a rated R. Honestly, I mean, it's such
an obvious thing and an obvious question, it is a question that is being asked a lot.
At the end of the day, though, we're entertainers, you know, we love what we do, acting is a
passion, especially for, I know Vanessa as well, and we wanted to do something that was
going to be, take us to that place that we were passionate about, and Harmony is an incredible
director that does allow us to do those things, James, that's a given, and these girls are
so supportive, so in a way, it's super easy for us to differentiate that we are who we
are speaking to you, and in the movie, we're playing a character, and ultimately, at the
end of the day, that's what we're really doing, is playing a character, and you know, My Wizard's
episode airs tonight, so I kind of have a little balance of both going on, I don't know,
I think at the end of the day, we're proud of this movie, we really are, and the decision
we made, we stand by, and we love it.
