Today is a monumental day in my roller skating career. We are trying jam plugs, dance plugs,
whatever you want to call these things. Wait, can you see them? Yeah. So I have never used these
before. I did them like a couple months ago and haven't used them because I was like,
oh, I really like my toe stops. I like doing toe top circles and compass circles and stuff.
And I was like, I'm not ready, but I am ready. I'm ready now. We're going to try it.
And somebody told me that like, they're not really that hard to switch out. And so I could
switch back and forth or something. We will see. We will see how easy it is. So I'm excited to try
these and I'm excited to try moves like dribbling and stuff that require like, or at least are
easier without using toe stops. Cause they kind of like stop you. Okay. So we're going to try
Let's go ahead and put these in. There were like two sizes and I ordered the one that said it
worked for beach bunnies because I have beach bunnies. I guess I just take the whole thing out
with the nut and everything. I don't know. I'm just going to put that back on there.
Okay. I think it fits. That looks really good. I will link the ones that I got down below.
So if you have beach bunnies, you can get the exact same ones,
but there was only two choices. And so one of those two should fit your skates. Yeah. Okay,
cool. That looks good. And it actually matches too, which is cool. This is going to be weird
trying this for the first time. I have to remember. So I don't like die when I try to stop.
Wow. It took forever. I guess we're leaving that on. I don't know.
I have a feeling that since it's just like a rubber material, if I screwed it in wrong,
it would probably just like ruin it because it would like strip the screw part. But no,
I got it. We're good. Okay, cool. How did those look? Does that look good? Does that look like
I'm going to die when I try to skate this time? Maybe. Does it look like I'm going to not know
how to stop anymore? Yeah, probably. Okay, here we go. Oh, I was like, let's see what the distance
is. The distance is like nothing. And I cannot like, does it even hit? It kind of hits the ground
at the same time that my, my toe cap hits. So like, I cannot use, I cannot like be stopping
on these at all. Okay, here we go. Let's try this. Okay. Okay. How am I going to stop now?
So we got to be, we got to be doing the T stop and we've got to be, what other stops do we have
here? Just turning around, like pivoting. Let's try some dribbling. Okay. That is totally way
easier. It totally looks weird. Cause I'm like getting my bearings here. Totally like so much
easier. Yeah. Okay. So that's cool. What other things do I want to try with this?
Like I'm always like, what's like, okay, wait, yes. Okay. Manuals. Let's do that. Here we go.
So we can do bigger manuals. That's fun. Manuals on the other side. I'm not that great at the
other side. Okay. What hit first? I heard like a scraping thing. Okay. So I did hit my
jam plug thingy. What other moves do I need to try? Any type of move where it's like,
you're up on your toes. Oh, that was why I got it. I remember now. Okay, here we go.
Spins. It was for spins. Cause I was like, my toe stop is already always getting caught
on my double toe spins and stuff. So I should be able to stay up on my toes longer now.
I think in my head, that was what I was planning on because I don't have to worry about hitting
my toe stop. So I can like actually be up on my toes more, which is hard on this not flat ground.
Let's move. So I'm going to be trying more toe things. So like double toe spins,
staying up on my toes. Let's try spinning. I think this is easier because I used to get caught
now heel toe spin. I don't think it'll affect this, but you know, we're trying it anyway.
Okay. That was actually totally smooth. Okay. Double toe manuals. Here we go.
Easy peasy. Oh my God. This is so easy now. Wait, why is it so much easier? I can like stay
on my toes for so much longer and close up view. There we go. Okay. I think I'm going to need some
more suggestions for moves. I need to try with the jam plugs. So, uh, make sure to comment them
below. And I'm just going to end this video here with my approval of the toe plugs. I got them
from Amazon. They were like $7. So, and it wasn't sponsored. I just ordered them actually based on
suggestions from Instagram. So if you helped me with that decision, thank you so much because
these are cool. And now I need to find more moves, more moves that involve the jam toe stop plug
things. So yeah, I'll see you again next week on Lindsey skates and also bonus. Hopefully that was
helpful if you were debating on whether or not you want to get jam plugs, because I had like put off
that decision for a long time. And it was like, you know, even though it was $7 decision, it's still
a decision, which is hard. And I was afraid of like switching them in and out and switching them
in was like really not that hard. It took like two minutes. I mean, you saw me. And so I think
optimally I would like to have a pair of skates that was just dedicated to the jam plugs, but
for right now, switching them in and out, it takes like what it was like three seconds. It was like
a minute to switch them. So really not a huge deal. Hopefully I can learn cooler skills. So make sure
to comment those cooler skills that I need to learn down below now, because now I can, because I can
stay on my toes better and not get caught all the time. Okay, now let's shoot some b-roll.
Okay, here we go. Up on the toes. Staying up on the toes. This is like way easier.
Oh, okay. Is the universe telling me I need to put on wrist guards? Maybe. Maybe. Okay, cool.
People are watching me now. I'm weirded out by this close-up b-roll. So I don't know about you,
but I have always struggled to stay hydrated, like just throughout the day drinking enough water. But
also while I'm skating and while I'm working out, I need to make sure that I'm drinking enough water
so I don't get cramps and then I replenish my electrolytes so I can actually skate full out.
And so what I've been doing is using these hydration packets. And so it's like electrolytes
in here and I just mix them into my water and it actually tastes like really good. And the best
part is, is that it doesn't have sugar, so it doesn't dissolve my teeth while I'm taking it,
unlike other hydration packets. I've been finding that to have really helped me skate better and
stay hydrated way more than ever before.
