Thursday's Weather Forecast 8/14/25

And now the 22 news storm team forecast and that was 449. We're taking a live lookout in Westfield for now. You can see we're nice and dry. We did see some pretty good storms come through yesterday evening, especially in southern Hampton County. Southwick had a lot of trees come down, especially on the south side of Southwick. But right now, Westfield, we're looking fine out there today will be overall pretty nice day. There's a chance for a spot shower to this afternoon, but much of the day should be fine. Chickapee looks just about the same. There is some patchy fog out there in a couple spots. You can see from Westfield in the western Hampton County, even parts of western Hampshire County dealing with a little bit of some more dense fog there this morning. So heads up on that for the morning commute. Got a light breeze coming in right out of the north and west and winds are gonna be staying fairly calm as we go through much of the day temperature out there. 70 degrees in Springfield, 69 North Hampton 70 is the temperature now in Greenfield. We got dew points out there, mostly in the upper sixties to near 70. So it's a warm and humid start to the day. And as we go throughout the rest of the morning and into the afternoon, temperatures will climb pretty fast. We will not be as hot as we have in the past few days, but I do expect many of us into the upper eighties to near 90 degrees for today. There could be a yeah, a few spots that touch 90, but I would say the majority of us stay in the upper eighties. So sun and cloud mixed from much of the day. There's a chance for a spot afternoon shower to pretty few and far between. I would go towards majority of us staying pretty dry, but a spot shower can't be rolled out for the weekend near 90 degrees Saturday and Sunday and mostly dry. I think Saturday and Sunday look great. And then through much of next week, we cool temperatures down in a pretty big way and will be more seasonable in the upper seventies, low eighties, where we pretty much should be this time of year. Clouds. The radar looks pretty good out there across the region going throughout the rest of the day here. 20 storm team Skycast seven a.m. This morning. Notice some of this passing high cloud cover some patchy fog as well. That will continue through around nine o'clock. So don't be surprised if you don't see a lot of sun this morning early. But I do expect that by around 11 12 o'clock the sun does come out. Sun and cloud mix and then notice here around three p.m. We could see a few of these showers or maybe a brief downpour pop up. We do not expect anything so severe thunderstorm wise for today. This is just mostly a few pop up showers that could develop with that higher humidity. Six p.m. Maybe a passing sprinkle in a couple spots and then we're mostly dry going into the overnight. In terms of tropical storm Aaron this morning, it's a 50 mile per hour storm moving to the West 17 miles per hour. Of course, it is still expected the track off to the West and then make that turn to the north here by late Monday into Tuesday of next week. It's forecast to be a major category three hurricane winds of 125 MPH. So we'll keep an eye on it as makes that turn to the north. A lot of models have turning to the north and going towards Bermuda here. So we'll keep an eye on that. But as of right now, I think the only concern for us here on the East Coast would be some really strong rip currents next week and some major waves. But we'll keep an eye on it and see how close it gets 86 to 90 out there for today. We're gonna fall back into the 60s to 50s to near 60s. And as we go through the rest of the weekend, it looks pretty nice. Saturday and Sunday look great coming up temperatures in the 80s to near 90 for the rest of the storm team. Seven day forecast. Lots of sun out there for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and then maybe the chance for a shower Monday, Tuesday of next next week and notice those temperatures cool down back to the 70s by the middle of next week.
