Back-to-school fun? Nobody talks about it.
It's this hard to please this one right here.
If you did not know, my girl is left-handed.
There's hype.
Only because you ain't in it.
Come back six, wake me and your child.
And it won't lay today.
Make me wonder who you about to play with.
Makes me wonder who you think.
Previously on the reality of Maine.
What is it? You're messing with a girl.
No, I'm not.
Girl!
My baby is going into second grade.
Do you have bus money?
New days, new life.
The absolute ghetto.
I'm very hands-on when it comes to my kids.
Like, I just, I don't play.
Oh my God, my baby!
Mimi's first day of middle school. How do you feel?
Y'all, we just made it back home.
From dropping Mimi off to her first day of middle school.
I am sick, okay?
I am sick!
London went to second grade,
but she's going to the same school that she's always went to.
And Mimi's going to a whole new school this year,
and they're separating for the first time.
Mimi's been in school by herself before,
for a few years before London got old enough to go to kindergarten.
Now, London's going to be going to school by herself for a few years
until Milan gets old enough to go to kindergarten.
But, the simple fact that my baby is in middle school
and I have a middle schooler
is, like, mind-blowing to me.
Like, my brain just can't wrap around it.
And I know how I'm going to do these vlogs.
I'm pretty sure I'm probably going to put her whole first day,
like, the beginning, the morning, the routine, and all that,
I'm probably going to put that on the Bells Plus 3.
So if I do, then go check that out.
And if it's on this channel, then y'all have already seen it.
But I'll also just link everything below for y'all,
because, listen, mommy brain,
going through back to school,
the hustle and the bustle.
Are y'all good?
Because I'm not all the way there yet.
Girl, my eyes be crossing sometimes, okay?
I don't know what's up and down.
My wig's a little tilted.
I was supposed to redo my wig,
I was supposed to do my nails,
I was supposed to go get my nails done.
I need to get my feet done.
One of my big toes, the acrylic came off of one of them.
London had me this morning.
I looked a mess, okay?
Because she gets up at crack of dawn.
It be dark outside and everything
when the elementary school kids go to school.
Up crack of dawn, trying to get her together,
looking a mess, running over there.
I'm just trying to drop her off
because she has all her school supplies and stuff.
I wasn't trying to, like, go in in
because we already went into her school.
Y'all seen that.
But she wanted me to come with her,
so I'm walking to the front door,
looking a mess.
But you know a mother's job is never done,
so looking a mess or not.
My baby said she wanted me to come to the front.
I'm coming to the front.
I'm up in the front, front and center, okay?
Big toe acrylic missing and everything.
I had on long, luckily it wasn't a nightgown.
I actually had on, like, one of those long maxi dresses,
but still.
Girl, that was a task.
Then came home,
went straight into getting dressed really quick,
got the baby dress,
woke Mimi up, got her together,
got her breakfast together.
She wanted cheese danish and strawberries.
Listen, I tried to cook a whole spread.
I was like, oh, I'm gonna cook eggs and da, da, da, da, da.
And they were like, no, we don't want that.
By the time I, I just want Fruity Pebbles, huh?
You want some eggs?
Okay, so she the only one that says she wants some eggs,
so we gonna cook her some eggs when we get in there.
Because I do, I want some eggs, too.
I didn't really have a breakfast.
I was too busy feeding everybody else.
Listen, we made it.
Okay, that's all that matters.
Okay, I prayed over my children on the way to school.
I am so excited for them,
because they're excited for school,
and it's just a whole new kind of chapter
for them on each side.
Like I said, Lynn is going to school
for the first time by herself.
Mimi's going to middle school for the first time.
Went and dropped her off at her new middle school, girl.
That was a lot, because I'm like, oh my goodness.
I'm telling you, like, just watching them
walk in the building, it just does something to me.
It really does.
But I got into all that in the video,
so if y'all saw the video, you already know.
But I'm just telling y'all, as a mother,
hats off to y'all.
Because if I'm going through this, these emotions,
I know y'all are, too.
And I know some of y'all have more children than me,
and I know that you have to go through it that many times.
So far, I only got to go through this three times, okay?
Four if Junior come and act right.
You really...
But we about to go up in here, y'all.
I think I'm going to be a 5 a.m. girly, okay?
Because I had to get up at 5 a.m. to get Lynn in together,
and I'm just up.
Like, I'm not even tired.
I'm up, up.
I should have stopped to get me some coffee.
But you know what?
I'll do that another day.
Today, I'm just chilling.
I need to recoup, okay?
And I need to get my funds together.
So I'm about to go to work, do some sponsorships.
I'm about to go edit some stuff.
I'm about to bombard y'all with videos.
Like, back-to-school funds?
Nobody talks about it.
Girl, nobody speaks on how much the kids go crazy
eating us out of the house home all summer.
And then you got to go ahead
and hit them with the back-to-school grocery haul.
Then you got to hit them with the back-to-school clothing haul,
shoe haul, hair done.
Huh?
I really don't think I thought this parenting thing through.
I really don't.
I'm convinced.
βͺ Running in and out of my life
It's got me so confused
You got to make the sacrifice
Somebody's got to choose
We can make it if we try
For the sake of you and I
Together we can make it right
!
Oh
You do not know my girl is left-handed
Everything on her left is so funny. My only baby that's left-handed
Easy cheese, make sure you put your face over it. Okay?
Put your face. Yeah, bring your face to the plate
Good
Mind you she has strawberries and cheese Danish before we left
With Mimi I gotta play when it comes to eating food, right?
Yes
She gonna eat every time
Hi
Real hot come on. Are you playing?
Yeah, what you doing you need to come pick up this trash over here just why we don't come to this part
Yeah, we're at the park
Waiting on London's bus to pop up
It says that she should be here in about eight minutes
Oh
Yeah, you can come swing let's go swing
Another part. Yeah, we will just
No right now girl. She fearless. She said I'm gonna go down the slide
Careful you got it. Hold on to the rails
Okay, don't you get stung girl, I don't think there's any right over here so we're gonna stay over here come on
What happened
Yeah, so Muhammad's in your class, yeah
Did you take your stuff out
Yeah, I know so what happened how was your first day
I
Was moving in line
She was like she was like something about I'm not doing this today and she he would call her the short teacher
Yeah, well, how are you? How was your teacher?
Yeah, yeah, you have fun
Yeah
Great damn, I'm so excited. I couldn't wait to hear is that it that's nothing else
Let's go
Cuz it was raining
Yeah, it is really really hot you feel it you just feel it it's so hot
Okay, so you had a great day
This is what I didn't like about my days because I was still there
And I forgot about him when I was when I was in summer
You got this from tick-tock shop, I will link it below look at how many come
Lashes
Hey, Mimi, how was your day your first day at middle school?
So recess means that you just don't like middle school
So because they didn't have recess
That means you had a horrible day, did you have a nice nice teacher? Did you see your friends?
The teachers are rude even the science
Okay, so if it's not you how does that make you have a bad day
So because you know that you might do something like that and it might be that means that they might yell at you
Potentially in the future that you had a horrible first day of school
And you saw your friends but that didn't matter
None of them nobody, you know
Oh my god
What about lunch
So I told you that that middle school is basically all of the elementary schools
They all go to that middle school
So you're gonna get people from not just your middle school, but like all
over
So that's why you might not know a lot of people but it's still everybody's first day
So it was horrible you hated it
Okay, that's all you have to say to the camera you have nothing else
A hot and cold water together. No, it goes hot by itself
Oh, oh like it's a little push thing. Yeah
You gotta be quick
when you wash your hands, basically.
And then it started going hot.
It was steaming?
Yeah, it was hot.
It was so hot.
They're making sure you get them germs off.
And it hurt my hands.
So the hot water was the only good thing.
Let me turn this air down.
The only good thing about school was that you had hot water?
Yes.
Oh, yeah.
She said she loves Marvel more than her kids.
She said.
The movie?
She was talking about her.
No, just the superhero.
Oh.
And she was talking about her kids.
She said she has a high school kid and a middle school kid.
And she has.
No, she has another high school kid.
And then her last child.
And she was like praying for that child.
And then she said that her child is so addicted to the game that she walks around.
Roblox?
No, to Mario Kart.
Oh, wow.
A different game.
And she said she walks around and growls at people
because she thinks she's pretending to be Bowser.
How old is she?
She's like seven.
Oh, Lord.
Wow.
She said she growls at people every day.
Like, she thinks every day she's going to be a different character.
Well, I think that you always have the same, like, feeling about every single school that you go to.
Like, your first day you hate it.
And then by the time it's the end of the year or, like, more into it, you start to like it.
On the bus, there's high schoolers.
There's high schoolers on the bus?
Yes, on the bus.
They're like, I saw a girl with braids.
She was like an adult.
And I was like, how are you on the same bus as me?
And then.
I don't know if I like that.
She was like, we have to sit on the bus with high schoolers that are in, like, ninth grade.
And I was like.
Well, let me know how you feel about the bus.
And we'll see if you'll be riding the bus.
Or at least riding the bus home.
I mean, I can't ride the bus.
I ride the bus with the same people.
Like, a little bit.
Oh, you're, um.
Oh, yeah.
I ride the bus with.
Let's all get off the bus.
Patina, Kingston.
I'm trying to hear the good stuff.
That's it?
The good stuff was the hot water thing.
Girl.
And they had pizza.
They had pizza.
But I didn't get to taste it because I had that thing.
Oh.
Oh, because you had the lunch back home?
Oh, Lord.
Okay.
Bye, Maria.
Bye.
There's nothing good.
At lunchtime, he brought a thing.
He brought a lunch bag.
He said he had a lot of food in there.
He was excited to eat.
And he took it out.
He said, what is this?
He didn't know what was in there?
No.
It was, like, crazy.
It was, like, vegetables.
His mom did that?
Yes.
And he said, there's vegetables in there.
And I was like, I saw goldfish.
I was like, you don't want the goldfish?
And he was like, I don't want that.
Did you see my note?
Yeah, I saw your note.
Was that good?
A good day?
That was not.
There was the same.
It was just a note.
It's just hard to please this one right here.
It's so hard to please her.
Every single time she goes to school, she has the same experience.
Every time.
I'll never get a good first day for you.
Like, ever.
I don't know how.
No, but I learned a lot.
Oh, my gosh.
Mimi's expectations are very high.
She doesn't like a lot of things.
She's judgmental.
You'd be judging.
When I tell you those bathrooms look crazy, they look like you went into the corner store
and you were going on a vacation and there's pee on the floor.
Already?
Yeah.
How?
It was the first day.
And there was, like, pee on the floor.
Oh, my goodness.
And they look crazy.
And I saw there is a...
You know how you told me to come...
Turn off the camera.
What?
You about to say something crazy?
She just said nobody was in her class, and now she just said, oh, one of my friends was
in my class.
No, Laila's fine, and then Laila was in my class.
She was in my class, and I came in and she started talking to me, and I said, you know,
and she was like.
You just said that nobody was in your class
and it was horrible and you just hate it so bad.
No, I only had her in two classes.
Oh wow.
So first.
That's almost half your classes.
So when I get into the school and we go
and then first thing we do is theater.
Then we go to gym.
What?
Yeah, but you're not gonna be in theater long.
I'm literally sleeping, I'm doing gym.
And they said we're gonna do laps early in the morning.
You're not going to be in theater long.
Remember, you said you wanted to switch to choir.
No, what about Layla?
So are you switching or are you not switching?
I wanna switch to choir.
Yeah, so maybe there's someone else in choir then.
No, I don't wanna switch to choir.
You already said that and I emailed the lady.
She just hasn't said nothing to me yet.
So hopefully she doesn't switch you then.
Cause if she switches you, then she's switching you.
And you told the choir lady you was coming.
Do you like the theater teacher?
Yeah, she reminds me of Miss Lee.
So you wanna stay in theater?
Yes.
Jesus Christ, Mariah.
I don't know, I can't keep up with her.
Like, I really can't.
Nothing makes her happy.
Literally.
She said, I don't wanna go to theater.
I wanna be in choir.
Call the teacher, call the school, ask them to switch.
Now she wants to switch.
But she just said nobody was in her class that she liked.
And then her friend was actually in her class.
Like, what?
Make it make sense.
All right, y'all, so our tradition after school,
the first day of school, we usually go to Dollar Tree
and they get one thing.
So we'll see what they pick up
and we're gonna get whatever they want,
besides a gift card.
Cause they be trying, like every time.
Is it gummies?
But this one doesn't have no candy.
And this one's the candy I'm looking for.
This way.
Can I have some slime?
Sure, Mariah.
And I really, really like these chips.
If you know what they taste like,
then you might as well get your ranch chips.
Cause you don't know where.
This one tastes really good and I really like this.
Yeah, you don't know what neither one of those tastes like.
No, I know what this tastes like.
Oh.
The blue one.
I don't know what this tastes like.
Well, you gotta pick one.
But I had one of these before and it tasted good,
but it was just like a different, it wasn't the white.
It was something else.
Is this mine?
It was that one thing that we got at Walmart or something.
Is this mine?
Which one do I get?
Just get them all.
Mimi, just get them all.
Just put them in the cart.
Put them in the cart, please.
Can I just see?
London, what are you finding?
We need to go cause we have ice cream and we gotta go.
And you're too slow.
Here, Mama.
Ice cream.
There's another one.
Yeah, mine.
Oh, I can find another one.
That's mine.
I can't eat it.
That's mine.
Just put them on there, Mimi.
Okay.
Thank you.
You're welcome.
Yes, ma'am.
Yeah, just a second.
How was school today?
Really good.
Really good?
You saw teacher David?
Yeah, they did.
That's good.
Today's their first day.
Right.
Exactly.
Thank you.
Have a good day.
I'm a horrible vlogger.
So basically, I cut up chicken breasts.
I didn't really cut them up.
I just made them thin, cut them.
They were thick, so I cut them sideways,
if that makes sense, in half to make them thinner.
And then I put taco seasoning in here out of a pack.
And then I also added some of my sister's taco seasoning
that she had on hand, picante.
I think that's how you say it.
But we did two and a half cans of that.
And I'm about to put it in the pressure cooker.
And it's gonna make chicken tacos.
And they'll be like, they should be juicy,
falling off the bone, anal bone,
but you know what I'm saying,
like shredded, real easy and all that.
So we can put them on tortillas and call it a night.
So I definitely forgot the onions.
We're gonna add onions and garlic in there.
We're gonna add some garlic.
Y'all know my kids are rude.
Can't even cook without them screaming in the background.
Girl, let me on, pressure cook this thing for 15 minutes.
I should have been using this, honestly,
because I got this from TikTok shop.
I will link it below.
But I can use it for literally everything.
I've used it for rice.
I haven't, actually, I have used it for soup, soup dumplings.
We've steamed it.
Like, I could throw crab in here and steam it.
Like, girl, I could do anything I want.
So I'm gonna be using this a lot more.
It's so quick.
It's gonna be 15 minutes and it's gonna be done.
I was literally about to put it in the Crock-Pot
for three hours.
What?
Listen, get you one, link below.
Mimi's gonna tell us about.
But yeah, Mimi's about to tell y'all a story.
Okay, so when I go into, when I come out my classroom,
I don't like the fact that when I walk into the hallway,
there's like 7,000 children on your back
and walking on your feet,
and you get pushed on the floor and they're walking on you.
But I'd rather just sit in my classroom.
Basically, she doesn't have a lot anymore.
They just kind of go out into the hallway.
Y'all know how, you know.
This is the first time that she's ever done that.
I'd rather just sit in my classroom
for like the classroom that I'm about to move from,
and I just sit in the classroom for a little bit,
for like five minutes,
so all the children are gone
and I get to walk through the hallway.
Yeah, but you can't do that because there's a ballroom,
and you are gonna be late,
and then that's gonna be on your,
like, it affects your grades and stuff.
Well, nobody cares about grades that aren't real.
Yes, they do.
It affects you.
They're not a grade grade.
Like, it's not my brain grade.
It's just a grade of me not getting there on time.
So how do you extend that?
Yeah, they grade you basically in attendance.
So you don't want to be late.
I don't know, but it's still not my brain grade,
so I don't care.
You want to be a good attendant.
We get to school late.
Like, good grades, good attendance.
You never do.
You're always on the bus whenever y'all go to school.
Y'all are never late.
Yeah, no, I'm talking about when we get, we're driving.
Unless the bus was late.
Y'all should have perfect attendance
besides the times when you didn't go to school,
which would be like if we were on vacation at home.
Can we go on vacation?
Girl, second day of school.
Get it together.
But she did, she told us a whole bunch of little stories
that were positive that she could have said.
What is one story that I told you that was positive?
That you had found your friend,
that you didn't say when I asked you,
oh, did you find your friend?
No.
I should replay that right now.
Because I don't have any crushes with you.
None of them?
Yeah.
Nobody you know?
No.
They gonna see in real time what you did
and how you be just making up stuff.
Where's this, the thing I just put right here?
See, and I gotta put this in my mouth.
Why did you do that?
What?
I didn't do nothing.
I was like this.
Look at what you did.
What do you mean you didn't do nothing?
That wasn't me.
I was like this.
Replay that.
You see how she lied?
She's a liar.
I was like this.
That's not cute, Mimi.
I was, this is what I did.
I was like this.
Here, you rolled it, but it still kinda,
it still did that.
And I grabbed the stuff on it.
Yeah, I don't wanna put that in your hair.
You said you didn't wanna put it in your mouth.
My mouth or your hair.
I just had the pen in my mouth.
What's wrong with you?
Okay, what is happening?
Did you just spit?
Hey y'all, so it's the end of the night.
I feel like every day I end with,
I've had a long day.
The day has been dang, but for real.
If you had back to school already, you already know.
I feel like this year is more chaotic than the last.
I honestly do.
And it's probably because of the two school things.
I'm trying to get into a rhythm.
This is only the first day.
But London's asking me tomorrow to drop her off.
I'm like, girl.
I'm gonna do it cause you asked me to.
But like, if I'm dropping off there,
I gotta drop off both of them.
Luckily, schools are closed.
And that's the only reason why I let them get on the bus.
Mimi was sitting on her bus that the high schoolers,
some high schoolers ride on her bus.
And I believe because the way that they have it structured,
usually high school kids get off the bus
before the middle schoolers come home.
So I believe that's probably the kids that are in sports
and things like that.
And they still need to ride the bus home.
So they end up having to catch a ride with the middle schoolers.
That's what I believe that is.
But still, I don't know how I like that.
We'll see how it progresses.
She talking about she got a little high school friend
on there already.
Talking about she said she was pretty.
We'll see how far that goes.
But y'all know we ain't gonna be here too much longer.
So I'm not even gonna stress myself out about it.
I'm about to relax.
I'm about to take a shower.
Y'all already hear it running, getting ready for me.
It's whispering, cheering.
Come get squeaky clean, baby.
Then she dropped it off.
While we've been running still,
the other two heads are in bed.
It is, I think, 10 o'clock now.
Just trying to get her,
I just gave her a bath and washed her hair.
So I'm trying to get her to mellow down.
Y'all see how that's doing on her face?
As soon as that head hits the pillow, she'll be knocked.
So I'm letting her run her little energy
and I'm gonna get a shower real fast,
jump out, and then we'll lay her in the bed.
Because she always,
I'm telling you, when I say she's my Velcro baby,
she really needs me next to her half the time
for her to get like, sleep right away, okay?
Because I got her laying in this little bed.
I'm gonna go.
Love y'all.
Talk to y'all later.
Thank y'all, thank y'all, thank y'all
for watching the vlog.
I appreciate you, okay?
If you're new here, hey, let me know.
Let me know what number of vlogs this is for you
if you're new here.
Like, have you been watching for a month?
Have you been watching for a week?
Have you been watching for a few days?
Girl.
Matter of fact, everybody let me know.
If you're O-G-O-V-L, honey,
if you've been watching a year, two years,
three, 10, 12,
child, listen.
I love y'all.
Talk to y'all later.
Bye, bye, bye, bye.
Bye-bye.
Bye.
