hey what's going on everybody we're back with another at bkfc Reddit ask me anything we're joined by a mystery guest I know a lot of you guys are looking at the screen going who the [ __ ] is that guy but uh this guy's very valuable to the uh to the Reddit and I will let him introduce himself then we'll go and get knock into us out hey guys what's up I'm Carmine I uh did the graphics for the red KFC and it's probably the coolest thing that I do so it's crazy so like uh to start the whole thing off so originally I went to Denver for the bkfc 41 with Mike Perry and it was GNA fight out there and Conor mcgreer show anyway I went out there I talked to a a soda company and they were gonna give me a uh a drink company they were gonna give me my own podcast and oh we got a graphic guy and we got a producer and you just got to interview people and then that fell apart some bad stuff happened on the back end so then I was like [ __ ] it I'm going to do it myself and then I asked on the Reddit I said can anybody do graphics and you said I can do graphics you have been a lifesaver yeah I remember that I complet it was like September last year I think sure and you said something about doing a logo yeah and I was nervous I was like I'm not gonna say anything I'm not I'm not gonna say anything but then I saw you know what I'm gonna say something and I did and I was like you know I I tattooed before I can make your logo and then and boom there it is yeah there it is it's crazy how it works out so it's one of those things like and I'm sure you've heard it before but it's like uh you know You'll wish in nine months you had started back when you originally came up with the idea and it was one of those things like I was I was so disappointed when the original podcast thing kind of fell apart and then I was like you know what [ __ ] it I'm gonna do it on my own and when I started on my own there was no Graphics it was like I literally would reach out to Fighters and we would do it we I I didn't put a whole lot of effort because I'm not a graphic guy I'm not a very visual guy so you coming along absolutely saved the uh save the amas that that that's awesome I I appreciate it I was following you guys for like two months I was like l in the background and then I was making comments I think I said something about Connor tyrany at one point and then we got into a conversation about him and then the whole thing about doing the logo came up and another guy that we have is one of our mods said something about it and I was like no I can I can do it let me do it yeah I so like what got you into Graphics can you explain your art art background I suppose sure yeah um I went to college college and graduated in 2005 with a um graphic design and Fine Art degree but I didn't like the graphic design I was more on the Hands-On Fine Art um I didn't like it at all and then I started tattooing about that same year I couldn't find a fine art job and the guy who tattooed me saw some of my stuff and he was like oh you do you want to be my apprentice and I was like yeah I can try that out yeah and I was there about 11 years with him and the graphic design just comes comes with it just doing the whole computer stuff and putting everything together and you know what and I didn't do it for for many years since like 2018 I didn't do it anymore and then you came along and I I pulled up my old 2009 MacBook with Photoshop C CS3 I think they're on like 20 now put something together I think for Keith Richardson and Tony SoDo yeah you liked it here we are okay so I know you didn't want to hype this interview so we didn't hype it but I absolutely reached out to some people in the community and I actually got some questions so Donnie Donnie Brooke he wants to know what was the process like when you came up with your template did it come to you all at once or did you keep tinkering it with it until you were happy um I want to say that the template came pretty quick um I had to Tinker with it a lot because I'm on such like old school stuff um when I started back in September when we did your logo it was hard to do like a diagonal line okay but you know coming now I I figured all that out and I would say maybe around the holidays I I came up with a template with the the borders and whatnot and and I love it I look at it I'm like this looks pretty good we get compliments all the time and like I said that's what's so funny is people like oh I love your graphics and I'm like that's not me that's you know and and for those who don't know you're what's your name on in Instagram it's stayfly right stayfly uh stayfly League yep oh okay yeah so I mean you don't go away it's funny because your car mine and your stayfly league and then on YouTube You're Carmine and then on on the Reddit you're King Slayer right so you're just like all over the place I'm sure you've seen yep yep no I I tried to organize it all into one I'm slowly getting back into the state fly League okay so if you had to pick your favorite team from bkfc who would that be oh shift I think about it okay so Jihad from shift sent a question he said uh you know it's it's so funny like you would think that oh I'm a behind the scenes Guys these guys don't know me and they absolutely when I posted I was talking to you these guys reached out to me so he said if you had a chance to put a fight together who would it be and why uh I think maybe Warren and Richmond yeah um I'd like to get borga a fight I don't I don't maybe borga and Faria I don't know if that's gonna happen but I would love to see her fight again um Mandel Christie's pretty good Mandel Cur is pretty good I'm excited about that one is there any super fights though that you I mean like those are all great matchups and those are like in the works but I mean is there like a matchup that you're like ah this would be you know I guess maybe an old school person versus newer you know like anything like that I want to see brand and Allen and and Tommy fight um yeah I just look back with borga I would like to see uh you know she hasn't fought in a while brand now hasn't fought in a while so yeah I I want Brandel to get that belt I want him that that 145 belt yeah okay so Tommy's gonna take offense of that now I'm gonna have to you know Tommy Tommy's not gonna like you anymore you said that that's funny okay so it is kind of crazy that we came up with that like Let's do let's do Richmond versus uh um Jared and then that that pcture took off like Richmond's using it and Jared's using it like it's all over on Facebook now like it seems like it's a very popular picture has that been your favorite photo you've done so far or do you have another favorite photo I think so um I think that's my favorite one of the newer Jake Lindsay pictures that I did I really liked um the the Richmond I'm sorry the the Mandel Christie picture I really like yeah but yeah I would say that Mandel um Warren or the uh Richmond Warren picture I really like a lot okay so I know Ryan Reber has a fight coming up so I don't think he was drunk when he sent me this question but he said ask him if he's ever been bit by a gator and if so where at so I assume that you've never been bit by a gator I I I don't know if he thought it was about me or what the hell but like I said I know he's he's got to be sober he's got a big fight coming up but uh have you ever been bit by Gator nope I haven't I have not I saw that picture you getting bit by the gator or the video yeah it's Terri ter want to get Pit by one up in here in New York we don't have those it is kind of funny how like occasionally it's like oh little bitty Gator you know someone someone threw their pet in like a a river or something it's not funny it's sad but um okay so what brought you to bkfc how did you find bkfc like you've been a fan for quite a while so what uh what what brought you to it I think it was um it was over a year ago I saw some hype about the Richmond and Lorenzo fight I saw them kind of bickering on on YouTube and my wife actually she was watching it on TV and one night she was like do you see these guys they're they're fighting bare knuckle and I was like oh no they're not I was like half asleep like no they're not I watched I'm like yeah they're fighting bare knuckle and I I think I saw the doitt Warr fight okay um I saw the the Lorenzo hype with with Richmond and I I was hooked my first uh paid event or the the first time I got the the app was uh knuckl Mania 3 okay and ever since then I've been I've been obsessed with it I love it it's like my new thing I I talk to everybody about it I love it do you have a favorite fighter I we know you're you're a shift guy but I mean do you have a favorite fighter outside of shift I suppose outside of shift um I would have to say Tommy now Tommy strium um I love him I loved what you did with them it was I was getting emotional when I saw you out on the ring with him I was like telling Lin I'm like look there he is there he is yeah um uh Mike Richmond's awesome I know everybody likes him but he he just looks he's fun to watch um besides shift um I like HD I like Duran um I know they they go back and forth HD was one of those first guys I saw when he knocked out um right um The Prodigy right thought like this is crazy like this is this is awesome uh James Brown a big fan sure so that's going to be a huge fight um D little was one of the first ones that I you know really got into I thought he was cool I liked his um I liked how he fought but then it's really it's Dave Mundo but so we go back to shift it's Dave Mundo and James Lily do you have like a favorite interaction I I know you've made some graphics and you've talked to some Fighters do you have a favorite interaction like you know has anybody reached out to you or anything like that cool yet um when Mike Richmond started following me I thought that was pretty cool on Instagram um I don't even like Jay Jackson back in the day like when I first started he followed me and I'm like oh my goodness I was telling everybody like Jay Jackson he started following me oh my god um so just those like initial little things were were really neat um going from like just watching to like people following me on Instagram was really cool um like I thought you were pretty cool when we first started so when you you know we first started talking I thought that was awesome um and then maybe some stuff that like I've talked to with Jihad and and him liking my pictures and then you said like oh let me see if Jihad likes this and he's like oh yeah this is perfect that's really cool that's real cool so with your goal do you like I this kind of like I fell into it like what's your goal with bkfc you happy just being a fan and then I have a two-part to that so like what's your kind of goal with it and now with these fights coming up like now you know a little bit more behind the scenes stuff as we set up and we talk about stuff and what's going to happen do you enjoy like knowing the stuff or do you kind of like long for the days where you just like watched and you could be a fan like I feel like now you have to watch with blinders on because like how what we know now like how do you feel about that um that's pretty easy I love it I like like knowing about it I like um talking to just pretty much linia about it and being like Oh I know this um I know I I I love it I like knowing the little things I like doing the pictures and being like oh this you know the fight is happening this is the picture we made a month ago two months ago yeah um I guess my goals would be for for me and you to you know just to take off and and go to the Moon um but really I just I just love I just love it I I like doing it so much um that you know the dayto day technical difficulties 2.0 I don't know what the hell's going on with this rep recording program all right so we're going to the Moon you're tagging along do you have any like is there a fight that you want to go to like I know you're up in uh you're in New York correct like yeah I'm in New York I have a lot of family in New Jersey I I live there for 38 years and then we moved up to New York during covid so if if there's a fight in New Jersey that'd be awesome if there's a fight back in Connecticut or Massachusetts that would be awesome but I can get down to Miami if I had to what do you think about Gabby I mean you're a New Jersey guy gab Gabby's New Jersey like are you that you know are you a fan of Gabby um yeah she's she's amazing I was just watching a couple of her fights the other night every time I see her um she's awesome she reminds me of New Jersey and I think that's what I like about her um I don't want to say peroy but she remind New Jersey she's she's she's fantastic it's kind of crazy like I said to see Gabby from her first fight and how she is and she's such a different person now and she's such a lovely person like she'll send me messages awesome hey just checking on your family making sure everybody's good how's it going like she's such a sweet lady no she she's so awesome I I remember that story I heard about how when she I think she got to Denver and she got there like last minute and she just killed it and she she's she's awesome Gabby's awesome so I see you have like a cool metal in the background I don't have a cool dkfc metal in the background how did you how did you come upon that I got this I won this in a uh in a contest it was to it was something about the belts um I had a name like the the four belts and how they got there okay I love it it's one of my my favorite little things uh this came from extreme bare knuckle fans page Russ he's he's awesome he's so cool he told me I was the first fan to ever have one I'll never forget that I'll never forget that yeah I I love it so much so the other thing that's kind of weird is you and I have the same chair and we talked about that like and I don't understand how that like I mean it's it's pretty much the same chair I don't know how that happened I just I needed like a gaming chair slash TV chair or you know editing chair and then we're twins it's so weird yep we are twins I got it just because I was working from home and I I'm I think black and white it's like my favorite color I like yellow and pink but black and white I love and I saw it and and you have the same one okay so whenever we interview somebody who has got a lot of tattoos you always say what's their favorite tattoo you have me ask him that so I'm gonna ask you what's your favorite tattoo because you have a lot of tattoo um I don't know if I could show you my fite no I'm just kidding I really like this one here the guy who did this I Apprentice with back in 2005 okay and he was just getting started out and the reason why I was an apprentice was because the owner of the shop had an apprentice and then the guy that I knew Oscar was like oh I want an apprentice too so he basically let me come in the next Monday so Mike The Apprentice did this and I I have good memories about it okay so yeah I think that's my favorite if you do you have a favorite fight so so far like is there like a favorite card that bkfc has put on that you you really enjoy yeah my probably my favorite card was the um one of my favorite cards was the Richmond Mundell card um that's probably one of my favorite fights whenever I show somebody like oh you you need to check this out I show them that fight it's one of my go-tos um a lot of the Lily fights I'm always showing them just because he's just so he's just so Tech he's awesome um yeah and then a lot of the like the Back in the Day stuff like like do Little Warren is awesome um Brandon Allen's Knockouts I I show people those I'm like oh check this out like boom boom he's done yeah okay so then my last question I always ask people I'm sure you know like do you do you remember the first time you stre I don't I don't know like we've never talked I don't know if you were a tough guy growing up you don't seem like a super tough guy but you're also from newer Jersey so maybe you are but you seem like such a a mild manner like nice guy I don't did you get in many fights when you were younger I didn't get into too many fights um I I was a track star in high school so I was always the one that would run away at full speed as quick as I could um I my they used to call me white lightning and I would just boom like someone was picking on me and I was like boom I was in the other town I was up the tree um I think I got into a couple I threw a rock at a kid because he was just he was being a jerk but uh never too many fist fights it's funny my my my friend always says I can run faster scared than you can run angry and so he's like I don't I don't need to be in any fights yeah I I was like I was boom I was gone so you did I mean did you do track competitively like for the school or you okay so like tell tell me about your your sports background let's let's hear about it oh I played hockey for a long time um okay from like sixth grade up until almost College I was playing hockey I did track just kind of to supplement that and um the school I went to MTH University which was in my hometown I didn't really I didn't go too far they had a hockey team um but then I just decided to stick with like the art and the skateboarding and kind of that kind of stuff I would hide from the coaches um it kind of just it was just like a boom like I I decided to just kind of do the art way the tattoo thing my dad was not happy um I hid my tattoos from him for about 10 years wow he's cool with him now um when I finally open opened up a tattoo shop he's like okay I guess you're doing what you want to do but yeah the sports kind of died out when I got into the the art and the graphics and the tattooing okay so now this is officially my last question tattooing if you could give a tattoo to anybody in the roster who would you give a tattoo and what would it be oh my goodness hi I'm sure I've thought about this a million times um I'd like to give uh Captain Deadpool maybe a a captain Deadpool tattoo um that would be kind of neat just something small like sure you know so he can thinks about you know you can think about that um I'd like to t you know what I got it I'd like to tattoo the Welsh flag on James Lily that'd be fun yeah that's what I'd like to do I've thought about it before yeah that that came
