Asalamaikum.
Today I want to talk about little
sensitive topic because some people text
me about can you talk about this topic.
So it's about BTS V Tong and the
Coca-Cola commercial at first.
Congratulation for the uh finishing
army. Yeah. Okay. So anyway, that's not
what I talk about today. So many people
feel proud and think it's cool. Yeah.
You know like he's always the headliner
on the whole commercial award. But as a
Muslim and also as a human being, I want
to share honestly how I see this. At
first, as you know, Coca-Cola is not
just a drink company. For many Muslims,
Coca-Cola has been a boycott target for
a long time. Why? Because Coca-Cola has
strong ties with Israel. Many people
think this company doesn't care about
the suffering of our brothers and
sisters in Palestine. That's why many
Muslims around the world boycott
Coca-Cola and the similar brand. And I
also also used to drink a lot of
Coca-Cola in the past. But after knowing
about the Palestine and what they are
doing, I stopped and choose the boycott.
This is not only about the taste or
preference. It is about the justice and
solidarity. We must think where does my
money go? Does it make life harder for
people who already suffer? And let's
come back to topic about V. Should we
blame or boycott him? I think I think
it's not right to blame him. this global
artist and he joined the commercial
because of contracts and business and he
may doesn't know about this issue at
all. So attacking or hating artist is
not fair but but at the same time as
Muslim consumers we must be clear so we
can still support him as an artist but
but let's just think about it supporting
him is different from supporting that
company and when we use the money for
the company it can be the part of
suffering our brothers and sisters which
is really really terrible. It's not that
happy thing that he make the commercial
for Coca-Cola butts. But like actually
not all Korean celebrities are ignoring
this issue. Uh some of them do really
care. Like for example, a former day
member like shout at the free Palestine
during a concert like really like huge
strong voice free Palestine and you know
the football player Sunungin also worked
with UNICEF to help children in Gaza. He
really cares about starving people in in
there. So not all celebrities uh ignore
this issue. So here is my personal view.
I respect him and I respect his work.
And as a Korean, I'm super super proud
of him and his group. But as a Muslim
and as a human being, I will continue to
boycott Coca-Cola. I hope you also do
this. So this is not just about the
brand. It's about the what value we
choose and whose side we stand on. When
I think of the suffering of Palestine, I
believe that even a small choice like
like not buying Coca-Cola can have a big
meaning. So yeah, that's what I thought.
And what do you think when you saw the
commercial? Did you feel proud or did
you also feel conflicted? Please share
your thoughts in the comments. Yeah,
because I'm I'm not the answer. But but
the main point I want to say is we are
one um like whatever like BTS or Korean
or like whatever we are one um we are
Muslim. We should help and we should
know that what is happening to our
brothers and sisters. And I believe that
that's the teaching of Islam.
Alhamdulillah. And thank you for
watching my video. Take care and be
safe. Alhamdulillah.
