Today I will talk about culture shock in Korea. I asked my foreign friends. What is your culture shock in Korea?
There are a lot of funny things. So I will introduce about that today. Okay, let's go first. They drink on the street
Yeah, it's true. They drink in the street and that's legal. If you go Hongdae or Itaewon at night time
There are a lot of people who drink alcohol outside
But nobody thinks that's weird. Especially if you go Hongdae playground, Hongdae Nolita
There are a bunch of people who drink together
Even though they meet for the first time whatever they are Koreans or foreigners, they just drink and hang out together
Sometimes they dance together in the street like drunken dance. It's so funny. That is not my experience
so if you want to drink but there is no money on your pocket or if you want to make new friends and want to
Chill with them. Just go outside and buy a soju in convenience store and go to Hongdae or Itaewon street
It will be so fun. But there is a point. Maybe you can't remember your new friends the next day
What the f**k? Who is this strange guy? That's weird. This is not my experience
Second, Korean ajusshi. Many foreigners talk about them. They make
interesting sounds when they talk like
Especially when they want to emphasize something. For example, hey ajusshi, did you see Seolhyun's performance yesterday?
They even don't know what they said. If I ask them, why did you make that weird sound?
Then they said no, I didn't make that sound weirdo
mystery and
When they say something, they do humming or they even sing with that sentence. For example,
어디 보자, 내 안경이 어딨더라?
This is normal sentence and ajusshi style
어디 보자
내 안경이 어딨더라?
mystery
Third, spicy food. I definitely agree with that. Korean people are crazy at spicy food
They think spicy food is therapy. If Koreans say I'm so stressed out then that means let's go to eat
Super spicy food and get rid of stress
spicy swag
kimchi, kimchi soup, buldak, tteokbokki, jjamppong, blah blah blah
They even put spicy sauce in normal food. This is buldak bokkeum myeon. I'm gonna try it. It's really spicy
I'm done. I'm ready
Can you see that?
That's good. That's tasty
For me, it's insane. I really don't like spicy food and I can't understand why they enjoy this
Fourth, no manner curry. When people are bumping into each other on the street
They just slam their shoulder and they don't apologize and just leave. That's called
어깨빵 and that's really common in Korea
If I have excuses about it, Korean road is too narrow and there are so many people
So if you apologize every time then you would be very tiring, but it's really rude
So if you watch my video, please apologize. We are actually really kind person. We don't bite you. Fifth, Korean couples
Yes, right you can shock about that especially new generation
They constantly touch each other and play cute game things
They are really direct and express their feelings. They touch their hands, they touch their hair, nose, neck, elbow
Arms and cheeks like this. They don't get apart from each other. So it's really adorable and really lovely
So I hate. Maybe they will break up. I'm kidding. Today I talked about culture shock in Korea
I hope it can be helpful for you
