What's going on guys, thanks for joining me on this trip down to the the Beau Valley campground
Really excited to show this to you guys
Basically gonna be driving through or walking through loop C and loop B. We stayed in loop B
side B14 and
I would say that our favorite loop really was was loop C
We did walk through or drive through I think it was loop E and loop D
But they weren't personally as nice as as loop C and loop B
Took a drive down to loop A as well. But those are the non-service sites
Yeah, let's get going. So this is the I guess you could say the entrance down towards
Towards the Beau Valley campground to me. This was this was a nice little
Little part to to come into it where you got that bit of water sitting in the front kind of felt gave you a real
holiday vibe
but
Yeah, we really enjoyed our time. So what we're gonna show you is is kind of as I said a bit of a walk around
I
try to have a look at as many of the
Campsites or spots as I could
Some of them I couldn't because there are people in there and I just want to respect them and just not record them as well
So yeah, but to me this was such a beautiful entrance
Driving towards the the campground
Gave a real holiday vibe and this time of year was was really great. It's green and we had some great weather up until
basically the
Second last day to the last day. There was a little bit of rain and things but yeah
So we're entering the campground now and right here in front of us is the registration office. So
You'll go in there to register and just kind of to the right of us here is where you can actually park your trailer
While you make your way into register just something to mention. You need to get a I believe it was called a Kananaskis conservation permit
Or pass that's that landed up being about $15 per vehicle per night
So remember that because we actually weren't aware of it. So yeah to the left of us over here is loop a
As well as the restrooms and showers
You need to buy tokens for that. I believe it was two or three dollars
basically per five minutes
So, yeah, very clean I'll show that off later as well
We initially drove past here the first time but this is down towards loop C and loop
B so just to the left over here. You'll see is loop
Loop C, loop B and carrying on forward
Going forward turning to the left hand side is is loop
Loop C and to the right of it is loop A ultimately, but you can't get up there from there. So we're driving down
Loop B just behind us to the right hand side was the the kids like a small campground. Sorry playground
It was cute
I would I would have preferred for it to be a bit bigger and a little bit more to do but it was it's nice
To have something for the kids at least
just pity that my my windscreen was so dirty and obviously the sun shining against it didn't really help but
Yeah, each of these which we'll walk through later. There's a pull through on the right hand side
Nice campground nice sights. Like I said, we'll walk through as we we get along
into the video
Okay. So while we're walking down here, we're in in loop C
Basically right next to the the river you can kind of see in the background. There's there's a river
So I'm gonna do a bit of a walk through over here and just let you guys just have a look at some of the
sites I tried to
view the
Site numbers and then wherever I could like this
I would actually try and give you a look into the the site to see what it looks like
These are great because they literally right next to the river
But yeah, I'll
Walk through here. I try and show off the sites and let you guys kind of get a look at
Kind of what a lot of the sites looked like a lot of them are private
a lot of them know some of them I'd say most of them are pretty private, but some of them like in the beginning of
loop C
on totally private, but
Yeah
I'll walk through and let you guys have a look
you'll notice that on the left hand side here is
Some washrooms or restrooms
essentially that put toilets I
Think the first first day that we there I went to one of them and it wasn't clean
But the next time I went around it looks like they cleaned it up. So that's great
You'll notice that a lot of the sites
Here on the right hand side are right against the river. So that's that's actually pretty great
we did
You'll notice a little bit further on in the video we actually hung around certain
Sites one or two sites that we felt were really great
The site over here was site C11. We spoke to a very friendly lady and she said this is one of her favorite spots
took all through like I said and
Which is great. You've got some good views of the mountains. You've got good views of the river and
Right behind each of these is basically a nice little trail where you can walk through
we
While we walk through we we naturally had our our bear spray with us just for safety sake
But we didn't spot any bears. We didn't spot any
Cougars we didn't spot anything weird
The only movement we really saw were basically squirrels
so
Yeah, these were great the the entire park is
Is is paved so I walked over here to sites. I think that was C14 right behind it
This is one of the walkways that I was talking about. There's some beautiful views beautiful back trails that you can walk through here
When we were there we did while we were speaking to a gentleman. He did mention that
someone along some of the trails further out noticed a
black bear
And her cubs so that's that's something obviously somebody doesn't want to walk into but we never heard anything
Never saw anything or anything in that line. So a lot of the sites are great like this one's quite deep in
Which which are nice and they're all covered with trees so the gaps between yourself and your neighbor
Is actually pretty decent compared to some places that we've seen
Yeah, it's it's
To me this is so far where we've stayed is one of my favorites purely because of the kind of
Privacy that you get with the sites
We were in in loop loop B, which
pretty much had
Your water and electricity
There were no full hookups there, unfortunately, but that's okay. We landed up having to go to the
The dump station which is roughly about five kilometers out so it is it's not within the campgrounds
You can actually see over here. This is also pretty decent one
You can kind of see the river in the background, but some of them do have little drops down
So I think if you have kids that you would have to probably be more careful
but back to the the the dump station, so the dump station is slightly out a little bit, but
It's it's a very neat
Dump station they've got
You know great facilities there
They were potable water and non-potable obviously to clean things out and so on the site that I showed you over here
They are there about two of them that are kind of right next to each other
So not a lot of privacy
But this is one of those where I mentioned there are some big drops kind of on the side and behind
But it's right by the river, which is great
so
Yeah
Well, I'll just keep going through all of the sites. This is towards the the end of
of loop C
It's kind of like a nice little
Almost call it a cul-de-sac if I can call it that some good spots as well nice and deep
very private
At least the side that we were in there was actually a nice nice treed
Gap between us and our neighbors on either side
Everybody was quiet very respectful. This really was a great time. So I'll I'll keep walking through and
Bring things up whenever needed
so here to the right of us was
B1 which was right next to the playground, which I think is great
If you have kids the only downside at least for me would be
Especially if it's very busy, you'll have a lot of people there a lot of kids
So just kind of sitting there with all of that noise if you're looking for peace and quiet might not be the right site for you
but I
Think it's great
If you have kids in there, you just want to sit there and let them play on so on
So there are there are these two sites here as well to your left hand side also not totally private
But I mean, I guess it all depends on what you're looking for
Something I wanted to mention down this way is some walkways or little paths that that I spoke about earlier
I really did like loop B
at least maybe just because that's the one that I was in but I really enjoyed it was great for walking through and
Getting the kids on their bikes and walking around and so on
Alright, so over here is one of the pull throughs. This was kind of just right across from where we were. This is B12
Nice little little pull through. I
Personally, I'm not a huge fan of these little pillars. I feel like it takes away a bit of the space
depending on the size of your trailer and things as well, but
I think this one was great as well. Each of these sites have 30 amp electricity or power and and water
Which is great
One of these are nice if you just want to pull through and just unhook versus backing in I don't mind backing in so
But looking back at this nice little site nice site
All right, and this was our little humble abode for four nights
So we're gonna walk up to our site over here and I'm gonna pull a bit closer up to the site number
So you're gonna see that we were at B14 and you can see the gap between us and our neighbors
And once we come back around, we'll have a look at that as well
Here at the back is the 30 amp electricity with the water
Okay, and this is pretty much our little area over here
So our trailer, our little camp chairs and so on. We've got a little setup here. Got our gazebo up there around the table
We put a little kind of splash pool for the kids there and you could see the gap between us and the neighbors the other
neighbors that we have
Loved the space
Loved the gaps between it really was great
Really enjoyed that. Yeah, as you can see, there's just some beautiful green trees all around us. Very tall trees
It's kind of showing the gap between us and our neighbors
It's great. Unfortunately, we weren't able to there was a fire ban. So we couldn't
do any
Campfires but it is what it is
It's me making some breakfast for us
Time to make breakfast for us
So during the stay that we were here for the four nights just to give a little bit of extra info
We paid a total of $200 for the four nights
So which I feel was well worth it, I mean all it would always be great to have
You know have your the sewer hookups right there, but it's okay
If you don't mind hooking a trailer and driving through to the
To the dump station, then that is also fine
we also
Our neighbors we had a chat with them and they used all the shower facilities and the toilets there so that they didn't need to
Hook their trailer and go dump, but we didn't mind
This really was a great stay and I would most definitely come back to it again. This is
I feel one of the most quietest places we've been to so far and
Hopefully next time we can make a campfire
but
It was great. And I think if you are considering coming to the Bow Valley campground, you must most definitely do that
I think you guys will have a lot of fun
All right, so I thought I'd just come in and just show the at least the men's toilets
Just to give you a look at at how clean it was. It was great
The tokens I also do believe you can get from the registration office
And I think they do close at 9 o'clock in the evening. So you would need to get that before then
if you wanted to go shower
All right, and here's the the dumping station. There's a quite a few of them here. This to me was great
You didn't need to pay extra for it
It had non-potable and potable water and obviously the the the sewer dump
Very clean. It was great. So to give my final thoughts of the
Bow Valley campground. This was a great campground
I really really did enjoy it and I will definitely be back. My family loved it. It was very quiet
We did also go during the week
So it was quieter than what it would be over the weekends and definitely before the the school holidays really start
So it was pretty quiet. It was nice
the the sites are very private and
The other facilities that you need all their bathrooms are there showers are there
You've got trails that you can walk through
You've got paved roads that you can walk around
I saw a couple of people a lot of people actually that were there walking with their dogs on leashes
Walking around with their kids. It was really great. We did feel safe
we went in not knowing what to expect at first and we
We had our bear spray and everything with us
But at the end of the day, we didn't even really need it while we were walking through
I mean it is always a better idea to have it with you, but it was great
We felt at peace. We enjoyed it. We felt safe. We walked around
everything that we needed was there so
Mine, I give 10 out of 10 for for the this campground. I'll definitely be back
this is one of our I think this is really going to be one of our favorite ones and
I think if if you're able to book there because it does fill up very quickly
I think we were very lucky that we found this one. So relatively late ish. I think we booked it
Probably about two months before we went
So we were very lucky because we initially when we had a look there
There were only I think there were two or three sites that were still
Available and this is one of them and I'm really glad that we did site B14 was it was
relatively level almost
Perfect. We didn't need anything extra and the space was just great
So if you're able to and you have the chance, I would say definitely go to
At this campground
I'd like to thank you guys for watching if you got this far
Please subscribe and like the video if you do because I would like to know if if you if you enjoy watching these kinds
Of videos I did quite a nice slow walk through of the the park
I like doing that because I like to be able to see the sites and kind of gauge how how wide they are and big
they are and so on but
Yeah, subscribe if you if you enjoy this content
Leave a comment if you have any questions or any comments or anything else
and we will definitely see on the next one, which will be at the
The wilderness campground. I'm looking forward to that one. I hope you are and I'll see you on the next one. Ciao. Ciao
