First day back from my jolly bobs and I thought we would film a full face of affordable makeup but
not just any affordable makeup, this stuff is stupendously good. It is on par or in some
instances even better than some of the high-end products that I have in the drawers right over
there. So there are so many products I want to feature in this video. I'm actually going to make
two videos. One is a get ready with me, this video. The next one is going to be a drugstore
better than high-end video. All of the products that I'm going to use in this video could feature
in the second video and vice versa but there's just too many products for one video so I'm
splitting it into two. So let's get on with this one. First up, brows. I haven't found anything
that rivals this product yet. This is the e.l.f. brow laminating gel. It is creamy, it is smooth,
it is not overly sticky when you first apply it to the brows but it is incredibly easy to get
in the brow hairs and then stick them right back to the skin if that's the look that you want or
just leave them full and bushy if that's what you prefer. Love this product, it is so so good. I like
to apply this first before any of my other makeup so it remains clean and tidy and neat. Before I
move on to any sort of brow pencil or brow pen, I like to set my brows in place. A little bit funny
you may think because I've only just applied the brow glue to my brows and nothing else but I have
applied quite a lot of skincare prior to makeup application and I just want to make sure there
are no excess oils lingering in my brows that are going to diffuse my brow pen or brow pencil
and make it a little slippier than needed. So I'm going to use the Beautypie wonder filter
magic blurring loose powder. This stuff, I have no idea how they managed to sell it
at the price that they do. Now you are only going to get this at an affordable price if you are a
Beautypie member so just bear that in mind. You can buy this not being a Beautypie member but
yeah I mean I would just join. I really would and there are free trials that you can do
before you decide whether you want to join or not. So I don't know if my offer code is still valid
but I will put it on the bottom of the screen for you just in case you do fancy joining
Beautypie and getting the benefits of really high-end products for a fraction of the cost.
To make my brows look a little fuller and more defined I'm going to use a product from Fine.
This is the Fine Strokes brow pen in the shade deep brown. Now deep brown or the shade deep brown
would probably have been too deep for me a few months ago before I had a fringe but now my fringe
covers the majority of my brows and I do like my brows to be defined because the brows they just
frame the face so if I'm going to be hiding the majority of them I need them to be a little bit
deeper that works for me might not work for you but the reason I love this so much and how it's
become one of my favourite brow pens of all time it is double-ended you get a fork applicator if
you want to be really quick with your application and still get a very natural looking brow and it
also has a really fine felt tip pen applicator as well so if you're wanting to be more precise
that is the end that I would use that's the end that I definitely prefer. Before I move on to a
foundation or for the purposes of this video before I move on to a skin tint because I'm going for
something slightly more natural today I am going to cover my under eye circles with a little bit
of colour corrector. Now this product is a relatively new find for me and I absolutely
adore it you can use it as a colour corrector but if you get the right shade you can also use it as
a concealer as well because it blends into the skin beautifully well. Now the shade that I've
gone for is more of a colour correcting shade than a concealer shade it is rich it is creamy it is
smooth it is blurring and it is non-drying it's from Morphe and it's the Wake Up Artist
under eye correcting concealer. I've gone for the shade 02 which is more of a peachy tone which is
why I am going to cover this over with a little bit of concealer if I'd gone for the shade 01
I could have used this as a concealer and a colour corrector in one product I will be picking that up
because I mean I've just had so much success with this product it is unreal. This blends into the
skin beautifully it's not full coverage if you're wanting full coverage you are going to have to
build this up and to me personally I don't think this product is meant for full coverage it gives
you a good medium coverage with one layer and that is how I would leave it I think if you're
wanting more coverage I'd put a concealer over the top of it and just use this as a colour corrector
but as you can see it's a great colour for me when I have a tan when I don't have a tan it's definitely
going to need covering to blend in to my natural skin tone but I could definitely get away with
just this today. I did a best skin tint video not so long ago and I asked for your recommendations
at the end of the video and I was blown away by the amount of people that recommended
this product for good reason I mean I went out I got my hands on it I tried it and fell in love
with it immediately and the wear time on this is also amazing for a skin tint. This is from
Sephora and it's the reveal the real soft radiant skin tint you can use this as a foundation
or as a skin tint it is buildable it's a beautiful very lightweight texture you do have to shake it
up before you apply it otherwise it may look a little separated a little wishy-washy this is
more of a thick serum like texture I like to apply it with a small brush to be precise around my
and around my mouth and then go in with a larger brush and apply this to the rest of my face you
can apply this with your fingers you can apply this with a sponge if you're wanting a little
less coverage I love it I think it is the right amount of dewiness the right amount of satin
finish it doesn't make me look wet and if you powder this in place it mattifies it smooths it
blurs and it lasts for an incredible amount of time this comes in a variety of different shades
I've gone for the shade 130N which is perfect for me but it does blend into a variety of different
tones as you can see my skin is a lot deeper than it would usually be and I can get away with this
shade I can also get away with this shade when my skin is a little bit lighter so absolutely love
this not only is this a great skin tint it does even out the complexion without making you look
like you have anything heavy on your skin so it looks like skin it's glowy it's beautiful but not
too much because there is a fine line between too much glow for my texture and um what texture
I just I love it I love it I am gonna powder this in place though in a bit I want to create a little
bit of a wing and give my eye a bit of dimension without making it look like I've made a lot of
effort because I still want this look to be really natural I have recently found these eyeshadow
palettes from Morphe that are divine this one is in the shade Flickering Sands and have you
ever seen anything more beautiful than that I also have this in the shade Moonstone which is
way more cool toned a little more silvery also think this is beautiful really stunning and for
the price you cannot go wrong but I'm going to go a little bit warmer today and use Flickering Sands
just gonna dip in and create a little bit more dimension in that crease area and then I'm just
gonna move on to the liner and miss out the lid altogether because I don't want to look overdone
today I just want to look a little bit more lifted elevated sculpted for liner I'm going to
use the shade Well Grounded on my refer 29 brush really push that into the lashes and then flick
that out on that outer edge and blend that in with the shade that we used in the crease
the metallics in these palettes are slightly creamier and softer than the mattes the mattes
do have a little kickback in the pan they are a little bit more powdery than some of
the high-end palettes that I have in my cupboards however they still transfer beautifully onto the
lid they still blend out effortlessly and I don't get a lot of fallout underneath the lash line in
fact I don't get any at least I don't get any how I've used it today so that's just something to
bear in mind I do think these are superb but it's something I needed to mention my stomach is
really rumbling so I'm gonna be getting a move on now because I really need to eat I'm just gonna
give my lashes a lick of the Firework Mascara from Maybelline nothing new here it's still my
favourite affordable mascara I just think it's immense and it goes on so so quickly so just give
one coat of that for a natural look and then we're gonna move on to bronzer and the bronzer that I
have recently found wow the collection cream bronzer is a first prize winner it is top notch
and it looks like something that we've seen before but we had to pay a lot more for I mean it even
has the swirl in the lid which is you know slightly disjointed from me dipping in this
with my brush and that's exactly what I'm gonna do now creamy smooth but not too wet this is a dryish
cream which melts into the skin with great ease I don't know what brush to use with this what brush
did I use with it yesterday and the day before and the day before that I have no idea I'll just
use my refer 17 brush and get on with it already look how beautiful that shade is without being
orange this is much more of a neutral bronzer it has a slight pinky tone to it without not
being bronzy so it's the perfect shade for somebody that wants to be bronze but doesn't
want to look orange doesn't want to look overdone you can layer this up if you want to but I think
one layer is enough for me I think this only comes in one shade please correct me if I'm wrong but I
do think it only comes in one shade and I don't think you're gonna be able to get this if you're
in the US look how beautiful that is it's got a sheen to it it takes seconds to apply and it
doesn't frighten you when it comes out of the tub it's not one of those super super super pigmented
bronzers that you have to be very careful how much you apply it's just glorious I'm going to set
underneath my eyes and also mattify and blur my areas of texture that I just want to diffuse a
little bit I'm going to use the same powder as earlier on so this is the beauty pie wonder filter
magic blurring loose powder and use my studio London powder puffs these are from super drug
I picked them up the other day and they are beautiful really lovely to use I usually use
trigwell cosmetic sponges but I thought I'd give these a go and they haven't disappointed are they
any better than trigwell no are they on par probably so yeah I thought I would give these
a whirl as you can probably pick these up in your local super drug if you're out and about and you
let me show you what this powder actually does because it is blurring on I mean I'm saying
another level quite a lot in this video but it is true blurring like no other affordable powder
that I have seen in a very long time or perhaps ever I haven't got anything new to share with
you in the affordable lip department well I have actually that is a lie however I haven't tested
it out fully yet 100% so I don't know if it deserves its spot in this video as this video
is for phenomenal affordable makeup products so I'll test it out a little further and if it
deserves its place I'll put it in the next video I have however found a brand that I'm really quite
impressed with I'm always a bit dubious about brands that market their products in the dupes
category but I really like this blush this is Emco Beauty and this is the soft matte
beauty wand looks very very similar to the Charlotte Tilbury product and I really like
that product this is not the same shade it's a lovely warmy tone corally pink and I just love it
I like to apply this on the back of my hand it's incredibly subtle it's gorgeous it is absolutely
beautiful very very flattering so you can apply this directly to the cheek because it's not
super super pigmented like the Charlotte Tilbury alternatives but I still like to be quite hesitant
with my application this gives you a lovely flush to the cheek it also gives you a little bit of a
sheen this is supposed to be matte I think yeah soft matte so it is supposed to have a little bit
of a sheen but not as much as it actually has I mean this has never been matte in my eyes ever
but I love it and this shade I've never really been a pinky blush sort of gal this one though
just look at that it is subtle it is beautiful it has the foam applicator so you can apply this
direct to the cheek if you want to I mean I'll show you now it does apply really beautifully
you don't have to be really quick when you've applied it direct to the cheek but I just like a
little bit more precision so I apply it to the back of my hand first but there you go I mean
I've applied way too much now but you know what's new standard practice it also has the lock on here
so great for travel you just spin and it's locked so no more product will come out and I've just
never been matte in its life never even been soft matte in its life but glorious glorious all the
same before I finish I just want to add a little pop of highlight in that inner corner and blend
that out with my fingers I have these in three different shades they are so useful because
they're so precise and once you've blended them out and you do have time to blend they stick and
they're going absolutely nowhere these are the jumbo multi-use face sticks the shade coconut
cake is the one that I'm using today I think that's the most subtle out of all the ones that I
personally own I also then have apple pie which is much more of a goldy tone and if you're wanting
something bright and whiter than white with a fleck of highlight vanilla ice cream is going to
be the one for you it is something special and when I have my glasses on and I am going to have
my glasses on for the rest of the day it just gives you that little bit of reflection from
underneath the lens which I think is really really pretty very very flattering so I think I'm going
to leave this little clip in today I know you're not supposed to wear these but I think it looks
quite cute and I'm not going anywhere so you know I don't care I love all of these products they
definitely deserve their place in this video superb quality teeny tiny price tag definitely
check them out I will link them all in the description box but many of these will be
available in your local superdrug local boots if you live in the UK I'm not quite sure how many of
these products will be available worldwide so I apologize if you cannot get these in your neck of
the woods I will try harder next time and the next video definitely is more universal so that's it
for this video right on cue because the builders have just started making an absolute racket
outside my neighbours are having some work done and it's very inconvenient but you know I've been
the one making the noise in the past so now I have to suffer the consequences anyway I really
hope you've enjoyed this video I hope you found it helpful if you feel like somebody else may find it
helpful please share this with them also please don't forget to like and subscribe before you
leave and I hope to see you all in part two of this video drugstore better than high end
which is coming in a few days time see you later
