Flash Flood Nearly Washed My Car Away - With Me Inside

And this is what greeted me when I came back. Hail. Lightning. Thunder. Rain. Wind. Oh this is not good. Flash flooding. I gotta get out of here. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Look at that. Flash flooding. Right where I was camped. Whoa. Whoa. Right where I was parked. So much for that bag of trash that was outside is gone. Sorry about that. I was parked right there. Good thing I moved the car just in time. I heard a thump and the car kind of rocked and I looked. Wow. Car could have gotten washed downstream. Look at that. just pretty much underwater. Whoa whoa whoa. Look at that. That is incredible. Major flooding. Flash flooding all through this area. Major major flooding. This is only like a hundred yards from where I was parked in the campground. The little campground. It is just raging. quite a bit now. You almost wouldn't think there was a flash flood here. The water was coming about a foot, maybe more, over those rocks. Rushing right over top. Splashing around. And you can see how tall those rocks are. And yeah the water was coming quite a bit up over those rocks. My car was parked right here and flood water just came rushing down. Smacked the car. Shook it. And I had to get out of there fast or I might have been downstream. I just noticed that starting to have some debris come sit inside my wheel wells there from the flooding. I just looked under the car and the undercarriage was collecting weeds and debris that was floating downstream. Good thing I got out of there when I did. My car was parked right over there and I had no idea of what was about to happen. Nearly marble-sized hail took out chunks of this.
