The LUXURY home trends Every Designer is dreaming about! ❤️
If you're obsessed with luxury home interiors
and curious about what design details
are the most coveted this year,
you're in the right place.
Today, we're diving into the jaw-dropping design ideas
that would make even Architectural Digest proud.
And there's one in particular
that I, for one, daydream about every single day.
Let's see what your favorite is.
It's time to say goodbye
to the uninspiring utility rooms of the past
and hello to luxury laundry rooms.
These designer spaces are tricked out
with custom cabinetry, stunning storage solutions,
and high-end materials.
We're talking about islands for folding clothes,
hidden hampers, integrated drying racks,
and even built-in pet washing stations.
Plus, with the rise of bold color choices
like moody browns and deep greens,
handmade tiles and statement wallpaper,
the laundry room is no longer just a utility space.
It's a style moment of its own.
Fireplaces have embraced their rightful place
as focal points of the living rooms
and are amping it up a notch
to become design masterpieces.
We're seeing floor-to-ceiling stone, floating hearths,
and sculptural mantles that are setting the tone
for the entire home.
Expect to see more creative mantle applications,
organic shapes, and intricate details
as statement-making fireplaces continue to wow us.
We're bringing our outdoor spaces to a whole new level
and making Martha proud in the process.
Homeowners are focusing on their outdoor spaces
more than ever,
and European-inspired gardens are taking center stage.
We're seeing everything
from English country-style cut flower gardens
to edible gardens with dedicated sections
for fresh herbs and seasonal vegetables.
We installed our cut flower garden
three years ago at my house,
and I love it so much.
So if there's one recommendation on today's list,
adding a garden to your home is my personal favorite.
Now, before we jump into the next luxury idea,
I wanted to share something with you
that I'm so excited about.
We heard your request
and are launching an online design course
in a few short weeks.
In the course, you'll go from unsure and overwhelmed
to confident and proud of the beautiful, welcoming,
and thoughtfully designed home you've created.
I cannot wait to share this course with you.
It's so good.
So if you're interested in getting on the launch list,

on how you can join me.
We're saying goodbye to cluttered countertops
and hello to the dirty kitchen.
This trend is all about creating a second kitchen
behind the main one,
something hidden but fully functional.
Think chef-worthy appliances, secondary sinks,
and floor-to-ceiling cabinetry.
It's perfect for hosting, keeping messes out of sight,
and ensuring the main kitchen stays picture perfect.
Designer pantries are also having a moment,
featuring customized cabinetry
and beautifully organized shelves.
Now, I know that an extra kitchen
or a massive walk-in pantry
is not in the cards for most of us,
but it's fun to dream about them.
Now, raise your glass
because home bars are getting a major glow-up.
We're seeing sleek built-in wine walls,
hidden speakeasy-style bars,
and dramatic stone-clad spaces
with all the bells and whistles.
Home bars are embracing the drama
with luxury materials like backlit onyx,
rich wood cabinetry, and brass accents,
along with mixology-inspired features
like built-in ice drawers, wine dispensers,
and hidden liquor cabinets.
We're designing a few custom bars for clients right now,
and I can't wait to share a few of them
with you later this year.
Cabinetry is going ultra-customized
with unique cutouts, mixed materials,
and unexpected details like reeded glass panels,
brass inlays, and unique hardware.
Two-tone cabinetry is now standard practice,
and we're seeing such a mix
of paint colors and wood finishes.
And there's also a shift to include floor-to-ceiling layouts
that maximize the full height of walls.
Basically, kitchen cabinetry
has never been more creative and customized,
and I love it.
Statement tile is here to stay.
Think hand-painted Delft tiles, Moroccan Zelige,
and dramatic marble inlays.
From herringbone slate and entryways
to tumbled limestone harlequin patterns
in kitchens and bathrooms,
tile is becoming an artistic centerpiece of our homes.
Luxury is all about convenience,
and motorized window treatments
are making life easier and more glamorous.
These automated shades and drapes
can be programmed to adjust based on the time of day,
letting in the perfect amount of light
while also maintaining privacy.
I don't know if you remember the scene
in the movie, The Holiday,
where Kate Winslet jumps face-first
onto Cameron Diaz's bed
and then proceeds to close all the Roman shades
with a remote control.
That's what I'm talking about here, and it is dreamy.
Coffee lovers and chai pea connoisseurs,
this one's for you.
Kitchen beverage stations
are a must-have feature this year.
Built-in espresso machines,
refrigeration drawers, and sonic ice makers
are just the beginning.
We're seeing everything from dedicated wine chillers
and sparkling water taps
to personalized coffee stations
and even designated tea drawers.
Plane walls?
Not this year, my friends.
Applied moldings, intricate paneling,
and painterly murals
are transforming the vertical spaces of our homes.
Expect to see bold wallpaper patterns,
traditional wood paneling applications,
and even sculptural plaster walls
that add texture and personality to our spaces.
Wellness is top of mind,
and luxury homes are taking self-care seriously.
Saunas and cold plunges are turning homes
into personal wellness retreats.
These spaces often floor-to-ceiling cedar wood,
Himalayan salt walls,
and smart temperature controls
to create the ultimate relaxation experience.
Nothing screams high-end like custom built-ins.
Think full library walls,
pin desks, and dramatic floor-to-ceiling shelving.
We're seeing so many unique layouts
and applications for built-ins,
and the common thread is that
they're not only super functional,
but also create a design narrative
that feels grounded and personal.
Okay, I know, that was a lot of gorgeous inspiration.
Let me know in the comments
which one of the luxury design ideas
you're most obsessed with.
Garrett, which one do you like best?
I'm gonna have to say the sauna and cold plunge.
Okay, sauna and cold plunge for him.
For me, it's gorgeous gardens
and stunning kitchen cabinetry.
And speaking of gorgeous kitchens,
if you'd like even more luxury kitchen inspo,
you've got to watch this video next.
It's one of my favorites.
