FIRST TIME HEARING | BABYMETAL featuring Spiritbox | My Queen (OMV) | REACTION #musicreaction

Hi, I'm Brad. Hi, I'm John. Well, we haven't done Babymetal for a couple of weeks, so... We're hitting up one of them that we haven't had up for a while. Yeah, except Babymetal we have, because Babymetal's been throwing out basically it seems like every single song on their new album. They've been releasing videos on them, and this one is no exception. It's been like two weeks. Anyway... Two weeks is a long time. Yeah, so this Babymetal song is called My Queen, which having already seen bits of the video, it's actually kind of a very 80s video. I'm going to say that right up front. There you go. I love the 80s. Yeah, it's a chess set. Anyway, this one features Spiritbox. I can't remember if we've reacted to Spiritbox on this channel or not before we have reacted to Spiritbox in the past. I can remember two weeks ago doing this. True. It could have been three. Anyway, so Spiritbox, Canadian heavy metal band. Obviously, Babymetal has teamed up with them for this particular song on the album, because it seems I'm pretty sure every single song on the album at this rate is Babymetal teaming up with some band. Hey, it works. Yeah. So the album was actually released. I did look that up. It was released on June 27th of this year, and the album was called Metal 4th. So yeah, I guess that's basically what I wanted to say about it. Are you sure? Yeah, I'm going to lie. You're having a hard time on this one. Now what do you want to say? Are you sure you're ready? Yes. All right, well, you're still with us. This is actually probably the heaviest of all of them as well so far. So far as the ones you just saw for the last three days prior. So are you ready? No, I mean as in the ones- Oh, from Babymetal. From Babymetal. The last one was pretty heavy. I think this one's actually heavier still. All right, well, let's stop rambling and check it out. Yeah, I think I want to say the last one they did was the one with Poppy. Yeah, it could have been. Kind of like the digital sort of background Poppy, sort of a demon character. Maybe it was. No, I don't think so. Maybe I thought I- I thought I knew, but maybe I don't. I might be mixing them up. There might be another one after that. I think there was another one after that. Maybe there was. I'm going to have to look up after the fact, because I might be forgetting one. Because I could picture it, but it's like I can't. I'm pretty sure that was before, but there again. Prior to that, they did the one with Daft Punk, which was the German metal group. Yeah, that's what I was thinking about. I don't know about that. And they were kind of breaking through walls into different rooms. I don't know. Yeah. We're forgetting the Orderview. Well, you know, if you don't- We do so many other ones. That's true. Blur a little. Now, do you remember the scream vocalist of Spirit Box? Yes. Anyway. She's a very striking singer, she is. We need to actually do one of their stuff. Yeah. We started to, and then got sidetracked away from doing it. Yeah. As happens a lot. So we get a lot of recommendations and stuff, and we do them, and then we forget to go back. Yeah, and then we get more recommendations after recommendations. And it kind of snowballs a lot. Anyway. Yeah. I think this is- I was saying this was heavier than the last one, but since I mentioned the one with Poppy, I think the one with Poppy is actually heavier than this one. Yes, the one I'm thinking of is really heavy. Yeah. I mean, this is too, but I don't think it's heavier than this. But then my brain is going along with what you said. No, there is another one in the middle that you're completely forgetting about, which is very possible. Memory. I know. I'll look up after the fact. Incidentally, this also doesn't have subtitles, because they had subtitles turned off. It's good news, though. Sometimes you don't need it. Yeah. But I do wish BabyMetal actually- There's been a couple of them, but- And if I have one complaint, the complaint would be that they don't- that they turned subtitles off on YouTube, so they won't even auto-generate. Well, they might auto-generate, because we got that problem, too. Someone was saying that they couldn't subtitle. Oh, that's true. It was a setting that we thought we had correct in YouTube, and- We had to shuffle it back and forth a few times. So it could just be YouTube. Yeah, because whoever had mentioned it, it's like, well, you should be able to. And we go back and looked, and it's like, oh, yeah, it's like- True. Oh, it did a soprano ending. And black. Yep. Not a fade to black, just- Everyone's dead. Old Sopranos reference. Nobody watches that anymore. I never watched it. I understood the reference. The character died. Films- The whole series was short from the perspective- The character was supposedly narrating the show, and- Well, sure, he died. Anyway. That's a complete- That's worse than our usual sidetracks, that one. Yeah, that's not even remotely untried. No. Yeah, I liked that. Well, actually, I've liked all the ones from this album so far that we've reacted to. Which, this is either number four or number five. Like I said, I've got a sneaking suspicion that they're actually going to end up releasing I think we might have missed at least one. But I've got a sneaking suspicion that they're- So we should probably go back and hit that. I've got a sneaking suspicion that they're actually going to end up releasing every single track from this album. Because it's like every single track was a collaboration with a different group. So- There you go. You know, I think they're effectively just kind of like, Yeah, we'll just do one for each and every single one. Yeah, why not? Yeah, it's true. You might as well. Yeah. Especially today. Yeah. Oh, yeah. And have to definitely look up and see. Which ones we've done already. Like I said, I mean, I would have thought it was longer than two or three weeks ago when we did it. I don't know why. You know, this whole summer and stuff has flown by and it's like- Which summer now? To me, it seems like it's been- Yeah, we saw Halloween stuff at the store today. Really? Yeah. That's not the worst. Because remember last week, we actually saw some Christmas stuff. Yeah, but- Oh, that was a hobby store. That's okay. Yeah, that was a hobby store. So you didn't expect it because- We saw Christmas stuff at the hobby store. They use the Christmas stuff to make crafts. Yes. That's understandable.
