Good morning vlog. It is a wonderful
Friday. We are off to a
um little bit of an insane wedding
today. Little bit of an insane wedding
today. We're taking the trailer full of
stuff. We're taking the van full of
stuff. And then my homie Michael, Audio
Tech Wizard, is coming to also run audio
for us and the band. It is a large
production wedding. Stay tuned. Welcome
to the loading docks of Grand Over.
Anybody's ever seen this before, we got
all the stuff here. We got all the stuff
here. Getting some trust. Getting
everything loaded up. What's up, Ricky's
vlog?
Heat. Heat.

What's up, guys? Just threw a quick
little walk through outside and then
we'll come inside cuz they're playing
drums right now. So, here we're doing
cocktail. We got a couple of LD Maui 28s
kind of facing each other. And we also
have a LD NE10 down here that I'm using
both for microphone and for where I
basically play my music because the
cocktail is going to spread around the
side here because we have 350 plus
people.
So
got around there, we got around here and
then ceremony down here on the lawn.
Michael's got his rack up here.
Check out my rack.
Yeah, you got them racks.
Got them racks
running some music. And then we have
what? a cello and a couple vocalists
down here and a keys
keyboard efficient
custom vows.
You guys go.
Lots of batteries.
All of Michael's fancy expensive
electronics.
He's running all the audio for the
players and vocalists down here. And
then we got the speakers. So drums
should be done now. We can go inside and
look at all that we're doing when it
comes to inside from the production
aspects of this evening. very
interesting combination um ceremony and
lots of moving parts to it. And not to
mention this wedding was literally
booked two months ago. Down here I have
prelude music. I made a complete mashup
of the prelude music already ready to
go. I have one song before that the uh
cello and keys and vocalists are going
to harmonize off of to start the
recessional. And then I have or the pro
proessional.
Then I'm doing the recessional. Then
they're going to come into cocktail
where I've already made a mix. I will be
playing the mix in here. Of course, this
will be cocktail.
We got all of these awesome tables and
seats. And then pretty cool special
effects stuff happening that I got to
show you. It's all in the back waiting.
But as guests enter the ballroom, we're
actually be doing lowlying fog across
the whole entire room. That's a lot of
low-lying fog. So, the way we're doing
that is through three machines.
We have our bow lighting USA lowlying
fog machine right here. This thing just
can run continuously. So, we're just
going to pump it straight and it's going
to run everywhere. We're also going to
be doing the lowlying fog again for the
first chance, which is after dinner. So,
that's how it's all working out.
Perfect. But, we have two dry ice
machines in the back along with 40 to 80
lbs of dry ice to use multiple times a
night.
The lighting crew is going to Marcelus
and then we're going to come back later
and spread all of these uplights and
chroma cannons around the room. We have
all S4s and chroma cannons. Going to
spread them out all over the place.
The piece of resistance, our truss hang
today is completely battery powered
lighting. Oh my god, it's epic. We
brought out all of the different moving
fixtures that we have at Bow Lighting
USA. We have out here we have the Bowlet
USA BPM spots. We have the brand new BPM
washes or these are the BPM splash X's
and the BPM beams. And we are using Haze
tonight which is super exciting. We have
roughly about a 38 ft span of trussing.
Pushing the limits to some degree on how
far you want to stretch trussing. But
the overall weight, the truss plus all
the lighting fixtures we have up here is
only 300 lb. So, we're pretty much
within the the weight parameters to be
able to do this. Uh, we do have a Optima
short throw projector. This is a 6500
lm. We're doing this cool hologram
kind of projection onto our sheer drape
and white drape combination. And we have
the brand new, of course, spider wash up
there. Just adding some overall wash to
the ceiling in the middle here. Pretty
excited to see how bright just one of
them is going to be. Um, all global
trusts. We're using crankstands weighted
down to go up to there.
All of our drapery is Georgia Expo.
We have the white drape, of course, and
then we have the sheer layering. We have
some video files I'm going to be playing
later. This was kind of like a look they
were going for. Um, it literally is like
a hologram to some degree, but I have
some video files we're going to be
playing later that are basically black
and white images that are completely
bled around the sides. Like I said, it's
a pretty cool effect. And I do have some
video files of pictures that we took of
the couple and of their uh the basically
the bride with her mom and the groom
with his mom that we're going to show
during their parent dances later on. And
those are going to go up there. And
they're all black and white to add to
the aesthetics. But the goal is, you
know, for it to not look like a
projection screen, even though we're
using a pretty highowered projector that
we could use a screen with. So, pretty
cool effect. And of course, we're also
going to add some uplights. The
soundwise tonight is um RCF NXL 24 tops.
We have two DB uh dual 18s tucked behind
the drapery. I'll go back there and show
you them. And we have some LD Maui 44
G2s running wireless uh outfills to kind
of fill in the back of the room just for
our speeches and announcements. So that
way we have the game. Here's our haze.
We have the B lighting haze generator.
Super excited. Going to blow a bunch of
haze in this room and get it nice for
all those beams and effects that we're
doing tonight. Super excited. It's going
to look awesome. All right. Of course,
we have Bera
S7 Rain 12s and we're gonna be running
Sorado Pro. I got to get my X5. They're
charging wireless in ears. They're over
there. Back here is kind of our
operations world. We have two of them
tonight. We have plenty of space. I love
it. Back here is just kind of like where
we're tucking our bags. A little storage
area. We had to get some food. Of
course,
lighting wise, Marcelus is going to be
running Sound Switch tonight from back
here to control everything. We're
actually using the Roadcaster video. So,
this is from our corporate side. And
this is how we're going to cue our
different video files to the projector
to be able to easily switch to those
files and play them on the projector.
Audio is going to be ran by Michael, my
buddy tonight. He's got the brand new
Behringer Wing. Pretty sick. And uh
that's all using Dante. Got some more
ULX quads there. And then that comes
across. He's got his antennas,
everything. We have the bow flaging CO2
cannon here. He's got another grenade
right there. Here's the DB subs, dual
18s.
[Music]
Beautiful. Going to be super loud. Dro
for power.
Right here we have the two both lighting
dry ice machines with all of our dry ice
in the cooler. And we're actually using
the Jackaryi so that way we can power
both of these simultaneously. This thing
is a powerhouse. I've started bringing
it to pretty much everything. It's the
Jackary 5000 Plus. We have four 20 amp
circuits we can use at any point in
time. So, we plug that into the wall. It
pulls 12 amps from the wall. And then we
have basically like a giant capacitor
here where we can power all this at
once. And that's nice, too, because then
now now we don't have to go find more
circuits. Even you guys that have the
Nemesis where you can run two plugs, you
can plug them both into there, like two
of them at once, and you have them all
in one station powered up, and you don't
have to rely on venue power. Then we got
the band. Band's going to be playing
dinner tonight. We got a bunch of Dante
boxes, running all their signal chains,
microphones, etc. All of that is on
Michael tonight. So, this whole event is
jam-packed full of little kind of key
moment stuff that we're doing. And I I
wouldn't have anything different like
the projector. Super cool touch. That
was uh the bride's suggestion. She found
a thing on Instagram where a client did
that with like some I think like drop
cloth honestly. But this looks so cool.
It's like a holographic to some degree.
And it's going to be really cool to show
those pictures, make little moments like
that. We're going to be doing the dry
ice across the whole entire floor for
when people come into the room. We're
going to have the up lighting. We're
going to have the killer lighting array
and the killer bass from the speakers in
the back. All this coming together. We
got to break out the CO2 cannon later.
We got LED foam sticks to break out
later. And it's just cool. The music
dynamic between me and the band is
actually really simple in comparison to
most band situations. We're actually
going to be doing we will take care of
open door music. People will be coming
in. We will do introductions. We'll do
the welcome speech. and we'll do a
blessing. And then we're going to
basically turn it over to the band to
play all of dinner music. Then it's
going to come back to me to play the
cake cutting song and to do toast. And
then after toast, the band is going to
be playing the first dance for Carl and
Rizza tonight. And then following that,
I have a couple of custom mashups that I
made and uh Paul PJ the best man made
for the parent dances. And after that,
it's basically me the rest of night to
party it up with these guys. We have a
Filipino and we have Indonesian in the
building tonight. So, it's going to be a
nice mixed cultural crowd, but for the
most part, it's a lot of American
traditional wedding music. They really
wanted to turn up, really want to have a
party tonight. So, stay tuned for more.
Excited.

I came to
Unfortunately, it's that time tonight.
It's time for the last.
Somebody make some noise one more time.
Well, my expectations are that we have
some awesome footage based on the fact
that we have like five people filming
this evening. But, um, BPM beams,
the new spider wash. Did you even have
the spider wash on?
Yep.
Was it good?
Did it Did it work?
Yeah, it worked.
I really couldn't see much from where I
was at. Getting the trust assembled,
deassembled,
and uh,
we're getting everything broken down.
Team's doing a great job. You're doing a
great job. I'm just the the hate man
today. Good job, Marcalus. Keep it up.
Working hard or hardly working?
Um, I'm hardly working.
I am beat to say the least. So, I'm
going to go change so that way I could
be a little more productive.
