Pork Belly
Carrots, Celery, Onion, Garlic, and Potatoes
Beer or Liquid of Choice
Salt and Pepper or Preferred Pork Rub
Cut veggies and place in bottom of pan.
With a sharp knife cut thin full length strips in
the pork belly and rub down with olive oil and
rub down with desired rub.
Preheat grill to at least 450f and cook
uncovered for 30 mins.
After lower temp to 300 to 325f and cook for
several hours. Keep an eye on the liquid to
make sure it doesn't all evaporate and start to
burn.
The skin should be crispy but if it isn't you can remove and place directly on the grill for a few minutes to finish the belly off.
Let rest at least 15 minutes and enjoy
okay today we are going to make a pork
belly to start out with I have some
multicolored carrots and potatoes and
stuffing they're my family and kids they
love all the colors so we got onions in
there we got garlic celery all your
regular stuff we're going to go ahead
and add a couple beers you think use
whatever beer you want
oops apparently having this chicken use
whatever berry like we're just going to
go ahead and cover the bottom to make
sure we got liquid I like beer but
you're more than welcome to use apple
cider if you want apple juice water
whatever you want all right so that's
cover in the bottom all right so I went
ahead and I took my pork belly use the
knife cut a whole bunch of slits and
strips in it we went ahead and rub some
salt and pepper and now garlic salt in
there on a head and covered it in olive
oil and rubbed it down really good so it
helps crisp up everything this recipe
takes about four hours this is a four
pound pork belly this is the the best
thing it's even better than bacon so
it's the best thing on the pig so I go
ahead and check the grill you need it on
high for about 20-30 minutes so I go
check the grill make sure everything's
ready to go and we'll go ahead and place
it on
alright guys the trigger is at about 450
so that's perfect so we're go ahead and
open this throw it on there let it cook
for about 20 or so minutes and kind of
get a crisp on it and then we'll drop it
down over 350 check out in sporadic
there she goes okay it's been about four
hours this stuff looks pretty amazing I
have had it before where it doesn't
crisp up entirely so if that's the case
you can pull it off remove the remove
the pan that you cooked it in and go
ahead and start directly on the grill
for a couple minutes and kristoff a
little bit nicer but this stuff looks
great so we're gonna go ahead and pull
it off the grill and go ahead and let it
cool down for about 15-20 minutes so
everything sets up and everything is
delicious
you
