Hey everyone, it's Kritika. Welcome back to my channel.
I'm in Belgium right now and today I'm exploring the fairy tale town of Bruges.
I am so excited to be going to Bruges because it's been on my bucket list for a few years now.
3-4 years ago, someone I know travelled to Bruges and I saw pictures of that place and I was just like,
Oh my god, what is this place?
It looked so magical and literally like it's out of a fairy tale.
So very excited to check it out.
So I'm just walking up to Central Station right now and I'm going to be taking a train from here to Bruges,
which is about one hour long, so not too far away.
And I have a Eurail pass with me, which is what I'm going to be using for all my train travel throughout this trip.
I can't even imagine travelling in Europe now without a Eurail pass because it's just so convenient to have.
But anyway, this here is the Central Station, so let's get going.
OK, so I missed my train.
I literally saw it leave from the platform.
I ended up going to the wrong platform somehow.
And yeah, I missed my train.
But anyway, there's another train in 20 minutes, so I'll be taking that.
And I feel like that's another useful thing with a Eurail pass because you can sort of just like change
your tickets and do unlimited train rides in any day that you're using your pass.
So if you miss a train, you can just take another one at no additional cost, which is useful.
But yeah, I have 20 minutes to kill now.
Probably go get a coffee and hopefully not miss my next train.
Made it.
Made it to Bruges after a one hour train ride, and this is literally the view outside the station.
How beautiful is this?
So the main city centre is like a 15-20 minute walk from here.
You can take a bus or you can just walk.
I'm walking so I can enjoy all these views along the way.
Bruges is already looking like a fairytale town.
Look at all these buildings.
How cute is this?
Initially, I was planning on spending a night here in Bruges, which I'm sure would have been amazing.
But I would have had to drag all my luggage through these cobblestone streets,
which I'm seeing a lot of people struggle with.
So I'm kind of glad I'm just doing a day trip.
And also my whole trip was actually planned and organized by GT Holidays.
I've booked trips through them in the past and I've also worked with them in the past
and I can definitely recommend them.
They can help you plan your whole trip from your flight, stay, visas, sightseeing, all of that.
So I'll leave their contact in the description.
You can reach out to them if you're planning a trip to Europe or anywhere in the world, actually.
But anyway, it looks like I'm sort of nearing the centre of the city.
Oh my God, are you kidding me?
Look how cute this is.
So there are actually tons of canal tours that run throughout the day.
So hopefully I'm going to do one of those later.
But yeah, I just cannot get over how I'm inside a fairytale right now.
So I'm now inside this place called the Old Chocolate House, which is a really iconic place over here
that a lot of people recommended me to try out.
So this place is actually famous for its hot chocolate.
They've got a whole store here of chocolate and upstairs is where you can sit and order food and drinks.
So I'm going to be trying out the iconic hot chocolate here.
And what's special about it is that they serve it in a very unique way.
So you kind of just put the chocolate discs and the cup inside the milk, stir it and have it.
It sounds really delicious. So let's go try it out.
Oh my God, this is so good.
Again, probably the best hot chocolate I've ever had.
Okay, that was hands down the best hot chocolate I've ever had in my life.
It was so good.
And the whole experience and the place itself was very cute.
So definitely recommend it if you're in Bruges.
I had a blend of dark and milk chocolate and it was so good.
I think I may go back later today for another cup.
But anyway, I'm just going to walk around and maybe do a boat tour next.
So this here is the main square in Bruges, it's called the market square.
And at the moment there are Christmas market stalls all around the center of the square.
And everything is just looking so festive.
And also this place is packed.
There are so many tourists here and I can see why because this is such a cute place.
And I paid 12 euros for a half hour boat ride.
So let's see what it's like.
Thank you.
Hello, my lady.
Yeah, the corner seats.
Like a brand new melody.
Hear me when I'm singing that.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
And it keeps getting better.
It only gets better.
Oh, oh, oh.
And it keeps getting better.
It only gets better.
Hello to this happiness.
Living life with the volume of the tent.
See the world through my sunshine glasses.
Nothing that can bring me down.
That boat ride was amazing.
I feel like if you're in Bruges, you 100% have to do it because it was one of the nicest
experiences and half an hour just flew by.
You get such a different perspective of the city from the water and yeah, everything just
looks so cute.
I can't get over how literally like fairy tale like this place is.
You go under like so many different bridges throughout the boat ride and the whole experience
was just amazing.
But anyway, it's already 4 p.m. and it's starting to get dark as you can see.
And up ahead, I can see that the Christmas lights are on and everything is just looking
very magical.
So gonna go check out the Christmas market now.
Oh, oh, oh.
And it keeps getting better.
It only gets better.
Oh, oh, oh.
And it keeps getting better.
It only gets better.
So another thing that I wanted to try out in Bruges is actually visit this brewery.
They have like a tour of the brewery and then also serve you beer at the end of the tour.
But to be honest, I'm really not in the mood for beer right now.
I feel like it is freezing outside and the weather is very much hot wine appropriate,
not only beer appropriate for me.
So I think I'm going to skip that.
But I'm really enjoying all the Christmas lights and everything just looks so magical
and beautiful.
So I've come to this pizza place for dinner, ordered myself a vegan pizza, which is massive
and also got myself some beer along with it.
So finally, I'm trying out some Belgian beer.
Wow, this is actually pretty good.
And it keeps getting better.
It only gets better.
Oh, oh, oh.
And it keeps getting better.
That pizza was super delicious and so was the beer.
But anyway, it is freezing outside.
I'm just going to walk around a bit, take it all in one last time and then head back to Brussels.
And it keeps getting better.
It only gets better.
Oh, oh, oh.
And it keeps getting better.
It only gets better.
Didn't miss my train this time.
So that's all from Bruges.
It was such a beautiful, quaint, cute, charming and romantic city.
And I really hope I get to visit it again, preferably in the summertime when the weather
is nicer and my hands aren't freezing.
But anyway, as you can see, I'm on the train right now and I'm heading to a new country.
So you'll see more about that in the next vlog.
So yeah, I'll see you guys then. Bye!
