Epcot's Germany Pavilion - Trying Candy & Food From Germany - Walt Disney World 2019

hey guys is this Jenna with resort tv1 and today we are at Epcot and we're gonna go into Germany and get our snacks for here so we're gonna try out some packaged foods because because we're doing our packaged food around the world showcase series and today is Germany the hope you guys enjoy the video [Music] okay so we are in the wine shop area where you can buy some wine and we found some chips of some sort palm sticks looks like little salted french fries it's just natural potato chips classic you hear some chocolates it says dark chocolates filled with brandy and let they looking look like little bottles that's cute double crunch peanut so all your salty snacks this is where we found the salted snacks here where you can get some wine and beer so I know Germany is known for their gummy so here's that Haribo because how it's called so there's some happy Cola and fizzy Cola and then there's some star mix they look like all your favorites so they're mixed Oh whole bunch of them like the colas the Bears the cherries the worms cool ginger and lemon yummies and then the berries which actually are one of my favorite sunny no I love these so I do recommend those alphabet letter gummies frog gummies we're sour spaghetti check that out you are you know sores a little baby gummy frogs many ones and over here are sour bears and then the gold bears which I've seen before in our in our stores oh I got one R so here is some chocolates Mozart something filled chocolates and then here is something to a chocolate praline that sounds good it looks like a little Christmas gift $7.99 try that bunch of different options there 495 FS for that big bag of course we have the Werther's which we have here where there's candies here's some different kinds of chocolate bars superior milk chocolate and superior bitter chocolate oh my goodness and a happy hippo I remember when Josh and his brother lived in Germany he got some of these for us and they are awesome it's so cool we also tried this when we were over in Germany the kinder chocolate it's very good - its chocolate feels like it with a milk it's like milk chocolate it's really good your Swiss white chocolate with honey and almond nougat Toblerone bars which we have here but I don't think we have these kinds crunchy salted almonds it's good some more little cookies lemon cream filled wafers and chocolate cream-filled wafers make a little bar over here we have some more chocolates milk chocolate with corn that's interesting milk chocolate with cornflakes and then a milk chocolate butter biscuit that sounds good and then dark chocolate with marzipan here's some butter biscuits that looks good some more happy hippos and here's a variety of chocolates praline what this one has hazelnuts marzipan the cornflake one there's some more another bag of cookie selections I have to get one of these bags I'm not sure which one yet good there's some Milka bars which I think I've seen here in the States now I'm not sure they have it looks like hazelnut caramel alpine milk cocoa I know back in the day they had a strawberry one which was my favorite and you don't have it anymore which is sad but that's okay so here are miniature chocolate bars looks like they have little pictures on them that's neat some little ladybug sir cute it's like chocolate some marzipan and mixed fruit drops here's like a dream of pretzel mix electronic or you can make your own precision I'm not sure if I'm saying that right Thomas Andrew Jean sorry I love their dumplings they are so good that's less back home I'm not sure we also have some honey and some mustard and what is this some more mustard it's a cute little container we also have some peanut flavored snack and I saw these already over any other shop do I think we've seen pretty much everything um so now we just have to decide what we're gonna get hard decision [Music] right here the shop right here is where we found all of the packaged goods that we bought today all right inside of here and they have other souvenirs as well of course we have to show the where their shop so here are the options you can get course the caramel you're the main being in here where's the creamy caramel phone and you have a caramel apple filled as well here chewy caramel caramel hard candies these are the ones I'm interested in cocoa cream that looks and sounds amazing hoosh chocolate flavor chewy caramel that sounds good too they even have a sugar-free it down here they have some caramel rocky I've had these before actually got and they are delicious here's vanilla cream it's another variety pack with caramel coffee caramel apple and regular there's a needs on that caramel hazelnut cream chocolate I'm not sure huh mom found some conifers or not burrs we're not quite sure milk hazen lightly for that looks good though here in the caramel shop hey guys this is Jenna and Dale and Chloe and grew in all the food food hall with resort tv1 and today we are going to be reviewing some food from Germany so we're back home we picked out a few things and then also one of our a couple of our resort hoppers Thomas and regime from Germany sent us some food too so this is perfect we're gonna add them together and show you guys got a scoop yes alright guys so like we said we got a few things from the Germany pavilion at epcot and then a few things from Thomas and Regine who actually live in Germany so we're going to be trying all the candy all the kegs okay so let's get started show you what we got first thing I take down this is from the pavilion yes civilian at Epcot so these are wafer selection it's almost good there we go there you go so lots of variety of these they look delicious and this big bag was only 495 oh yeah oh yeah pretty good deal lots of cookie I'm excited with that and then the next thing is this chocolate bar so it is milk chocolate with cornflakes what I thought that's not an interesting cuz we have nothing like that here no we don't have focus there we go no chocolate with cornflakes we do have cornflakes but this is Ritter sport so I gotta give this a try it reminds me a cereal why was the cornflakes you know what would be good with this chocolate and what cinnamon toast crunch woo you need to admit hey wait don't tell don't tell me we're gonna take her idea alright and the next thing I've actually had before but it's been several years we had him when Dale and I went to Germany several years ago but I don't I remember liking them but I don't remember a lot about him and I knew I just had a meeting happy hippos check it out so so stinking cute and I remember they were delicious so can't wait to try these again it's been several years so yes yeah and so actually it's so funny out of the three of these don't remember all the prices this one actually have it on the bag we're gonna wait this okay the hippos are 895 if you guys are wondering and you get one five one two three four five yeah 5 minute pose I'm sure they're kind of hard to make but then this chocolate bar this little chocolate bar was $5.99 as well so you know you mean you Ryan stuff from important let's start with these oh yeah for shizzle all right cookie time to remind me oh yeah that's my she's missing we got a little melted but it's not too bad dudes I see good cases group back up all right so let's just pull one out here in the lottery let you decide which one you want this one's uh it's like a breadstick of chocolate lottery yawn Oh alrighty well wafer dude looks like it's got chocolate in it mm-hmm okay let's give it a try hmm hmm mine's good mine's good - light flaky and chocolatey you're me how do you go wrong you can EB okay means I love it love it okay good job mm-hmm yeah I'm good you know what I'll see you perfect with my coffee in the morning yes it would be mm-hmm man I want another one but we've got so much to go through we really need to get our mobile treadmill underneath the feet there you go [Music] all right time for milk chocolate with room Blake breakfast chocolate is what we'll call it and guys maybe this will be my breakfast tomorrow hey go break here to open okay right here reading instructions guys don't do instructions look at this whoo Shawn see if they don't focus but you can actually see the cornflakes in their jacket not cool it's very crispy back oh wow kinda look like um one of those called the Nestle Crunch but it does look like the Nestle crunches with the rice krispies sound is there water in those rice wheat no that's the other cereal yeah all right let's go - right party mm-hmm chocolatey mm-hmm and it's a milk chocolate the software quicker melt melting chocolate mm-hmm it seems like Nestle's usually doesn't melt quite as quick as a lot of the foreign caucus do then my jinkx give me a coke mm-hmm I like it a lot mm-hmm corn flakes give isn't just like little extra it's a little bit more crispy then like a crunch Nestle Crunch yeah but it maybe doesn't have as like as dense mm-hmm not the crunch like they're bigger they're bigger pieces yeah I think I like it better than though I like the crunch I like it a lot better Tuesday Nestle Crunch is one my favorite chocolate bars yeah that's good I recommend mm-hmm I recommend both so huh yep definitely all right breakfast chocolate we're gonna get Boyd up mm-hmm so guilt no less here we go and I mean come on check the happy hippos you you just that's just so cute baby can I go mm-hmm mrs. kinder chocolate and they have a lot of that over in Germany I feel like yeah they do it's like a big brand over there probably there Nestle least when we went over there um but I feel like we're getting some of it to noise actually I see it in a lot of gas stations all right they come in these cute little packages yeah he's writing a little car there he is right Nick oh definitely Disney it though yeah you know or a hungry hungry hippo wait who's that guy he's so cute I mean your kids will love this I'm gonna focus that's awesome he's almost like turn sideways he's like in the water just like it is when you go through the Safari is he's uh chilling the water the chocolate is the water water I have my favorite type of water no short of break let me just have a bite and you're gonna like mm-hmm take it buddy I want to make him I don't wanna make a mess I'll take two how about that little bite hmm sounds good yeah nicely bounce to it you guys this is amazing don't the outside is really nice and flaky and there's not much to it it's very thin and then yummy goodness in the inside no it's like a chocolate cream filling mm-hmm is it stay on the box bizarre tastes so good and then milk cream filling mini cream morning Gary mmm no one no that sounds good oh man look at there's like a lot of chocolate shell done my type of hippo maybe not all you're gonna see Wow mmm-hmm we have another hippo right Oh ma'am giving it a mat so good when there is a lot of that filling in there a lot of the filling so all three highly highly recommend hmm that hippo even at the end oh yeah you finish that the hippos end it's very creamy yes yes good can you pick a favorite I don't know actually the hippo hippo the hippo Wow as creamy as that chocolate is on the inside and it's almost like the other I'm sure it was like a vanilla cream or what else it is in there but top and like Jeanette said the outside really dangerous it's just very thin it's not like a lot of wafer or a lot of sometimes when the bread or something there's almost too much bread or too much wafer too much good not this guy no no so yeah it's good I know I I don't know if I can decide oh yeah the hippos are you go oh yeah but the Quarren fights were good in the cookies well it was good but all good if I would somebody put one of each in front of me I would go with the hippo hippo yeah so we did well this time oh yeah mm-hmm very good okay let's show you what we got from Thomas and Regine let's start with this one you wanna show man yeah this is almost it's like a load it's like a mini low click up cake Mimi would you call me no so they had sent this to us a while ago and it got lost in the meal or customs kept it what happened to it like what do they send it remember my birthday November we finally got it McCoy anyway a lot of this stuff is Christmas team but it's gonna be delicious German fruitcake with rum and 12% almond taste feeling Wow yes I grab a plate a plate yeah okay so we cut this up open it up cut it like a loaf well piece of bread little piece of bread so I'm gonna try yep I'm gonna let Dale try this one and I'm gonna try the next one smells good mm-hmm it smells pretty you know I'm sure if it weren't five months old it might even be softer silly post silly meal bring it mm-hmm not sure what the fruit is they look like raisin you do look like raisins but then there's other things in there too no figs and other dried fruit of some kind yeah it's not bad it would be perfect in the morning with a cup of coffee yes for sure a little rum and coffee in the morning never hurt any day room nope never got there is wrong yeah it smells really good yes no it would be good with a cup of coffee I'm stolen it's a little there's some bread rum stolen it's a little dry but it's got the fruit butter but good this will be definitely good in the morning with a cup of call yeah yeah all right let me show you the next thing let's do this one be a good finisher I think oh you think so okay skitty not this here we go how this one looks like cookies with some kind of filling in them it just thank you very cheery yeah yeah cherry chocolate and scary okay Chuck a curse left cushion good job left curtain mitt filling of some kind ruined Shaquille in newts bird zoom sorry guys Chuck and Lane new bird sing great cheering at you hey pipe it down tone it down over there tone it down okay okay Belford goodness gracious big cookie you know what reminds me like when we were over there like they did those big marshmallow things like festivities poof cookie thingy it was literally the shape but Ben times the size like this big around I saw a lot of marshmallow chocolate and then like a cookie bottom yes anybody knows what that is we call me Ruby comment down below Nuremberg right yeah at the Christmas market Christmas market yeah that's what does reminds me of it it does but this I think is more of yes very cookie I believe so hmm hmm chocolate I haven't got to the filling yet but the chocolates good and then the cookie on the ends I'm trying to decide what decision is still loading yeah I think I can taste the cheering all right even though I don't have that feeling it looks like a ginger or nutmeg or something that's wrong trying to figure out what's good I like it I mean can't go wrong with chocolate mm-hmm this is like a like a cake on the inside or more like a bread um cookie Oh even better soft cookie mm-hmm no no it's good go and try it well sure mmm giggle mmm the fillings good too Jerry hmm mm-hmm it doesn't have a strong flavor I think it about ginger I'm kind you know maybe I'm much nutmeg but you know the chocolate the outside chocolate is really really mm-hmm definitely another coffee coffee yeah that's good very good okay pace ourselves oh I know am I gonna have to go run my good guy comes with an ornament marzipan marcha pan marzipan marzipan I've heard of it I've never had marzipan but I've heard of it it's got pictures of almonds I believe and it came even with this wooden ornament that cute very cool then on Archie first German does uh Germany does a lot of wooden ornaments yeah yeah they're very good definitely very good quality very nice ornaments mm-hmm weird are plastic ones open up this log reminds me of a fire log edible edible but much better man look at that thing I just want to go places I will for you okay sorry clay are you haplit how do you want to take it you want just take a bite off of it I think we're gonna have to what do you think chop it with a knife knife chop oh there she get oh look at that I've never had marzipan before so I've heard I think I've heard of the name yeah I don't even know what it is but it has almonds here you get the [Laughter] hmm you can taste the nutty flavor mm-hmm I'm trying to pick you don't want to ride me Oh what I'm chocolate-covered cherries oh my word are done without the cherry but yeah I'm not sure where the cherries coming in from I think though and I don't I don't like those things because they're so cherry ish I'm a big cherry person but this is good this is like the outside of the gym like the chocolate and then there's like a cream base in there and then the cherry this is this without the cherry I think but yeah but it tastes like the cherry yeah I get it that's what I that's what popped in my mind anyway maybe oh good I like mm-hmm it's almost like a a cookie dough consistency you're right it is let me see the front again it doesn't say any one Jerry does it mm there's good no I like it mm-hmm I like that chuckle mmm sugar what do knows just a little German no yes Brigham all right that was good mm-hmm sure sign Meister humbug Oh master Han work if you get our faces out I got focuses though yeah check it out I mean oh and we did open me a German well German gingerbread cookies before and those are really good for your item we try we save most of it so thank you guys for the for the journey I keep saying German bread ginger bread in this cool little tray it looks like dark chocolate doesn't it red light nothing there hopefully because you don't like it as much just kidding you can have it is that what you're saying well yeah little cubes mm-hmm it's like group size it is group size hmm okay yeah sure that one there are a lot of layers we can share it I'm getting very full you got me to an even guess on the image you can tell there's like three layers yeah no there you go lots of layers that's good I'm trying to figure out what the layers are of course we have chocolate and then I think it's a gingerbread base let me read it no just kidding I'm kind of like jelly there's nothing like a cream on top it's almost like the bottom is the same that was in here maybe bingo on the top is almost like what's in the marzipan oh maybe in the center it's like a jelly consistency maybe it's like the jelly in there but not quite that's not quite as good though I like it it's not not anything like what chocolate what kind of chocolate we have here mmm-hmm we're just really cool I like that hmm trying to get in the flavors yeah no I do me a minute to it cuz there's so many different like layers to it you can definitely taste some gingerbread it has you'd like that a little bit of us the same flavor as that no you cherry the chariot well cherry you're right I did mmm-hmm maybe that's the jelly yeah good job I don't know it's good though I like it it's good man we're gonna get better mm-hmm don't worry we'll share we might share with mom and dad and Josh we'll see though so yeah I'm trying to think out of all the ones we had which one would be my baby from the original G Germany from Germany from Thomas Andrew Jean oh yeah I'm thinking maybe this did you you know this was a marzipan I was almost thinking the Bahji pain to the only thing I really like about these they're nice quick that's true it's easy to eat mm-hmm this have to work a little bit more for my food I don't like to look for my food as much even though I like crabs and stuff but yeah I'm afraid if I go back you might not have any leftover oh yeah I think my favorite I like this one a lot I think you'll probably go with this if I would if somebody would say you can only have one well good I would go with this yeah this was my favorite too and the gingerbread cookies were oh oh actually those yeah yeah and actually we had some gingerbread when we were over in Germany funny story to weekend we were staying in a hotel in rothenburg Germany and it was Christmas Eve and we were out exploring the town because everything was we shut down on Christmas Day so we're out exploring the town we get back to our hotel and they'd hotel had given us it was like a traditional German like reading back bread bread and breakfast bed and breakfast bed and breakfast a really really quaint little hotel was really cute and they had a big plate of candy and oh they did have like a good oops and pain like really cool stuff that we were all excited to try it and so we wanted we went to mom and dad's room which it was right next to our room and brought some stuff over and we were trying it and we had bra I think our gingerbread cookies over we were eating it and then mom and dad had already eaten theirs and we're like did you notice there was paper on the bottom of that room to write cooking I like what we showed them they're like well we ate the paper [Laughter] so yeah moment paper with their girl I kept seeing German bread right during dinner Joanne ginger no it's too funny you know it's a good trip anyway so overall loved everything oh yeah really really good Germany highly recommend the stuff we got from the pavilion and then the stuff that Thomason Regine sent us which was really sweet thank you so much yes thank you so much Thomas as we appreciate it very much yes we share some with mom and dad and Josh and cuz you know we all watch our figures mm-hmm yes yes but I should have needed a german beer to wash it all down all right how about some 7up
