A lot of characters around here.
Bill Stoppard and Solo Inline put on an event in Toronto. I thought it was a great way to
explore a new city, meet some old friends, meet some new friends. I had to come check it out.
In this video I'm going to document a few of the group skates that I participated in,
as well as a few of the clinics that we'll put on over the weekend in order to help skaters
progress in their skills. I will also be sharing an array of moments that I enjoyed and I hope you
do too. Special shout out to Powerslide for helping me attend this event. My full setup
will be in the description below. Check it out and let me know if you have any questions.
First day of the Toronto Roll. We are out here officially in Toronto. It's beautiful. The
and it will be hello. It should be a good time. A bunch of skaters.
There are a lot of characters here. What's up Benji? We got Riley. Hello.
We got basketball and we have someone who came here all the way from New York.
Hello what's your name? Jackie. And where you from? I'm from New York City.
Represent. Let's go. Yo what up what up what up. You see the hat. New York.
I'm here with the biggest hater I know. Lawrence. Lawrence. And Trophy.
And Trophy. I'm kidding I'm kidding I'm kidding. LA Sliders. LA Sliders.
I got the merch now. He's got the merch and everything.
Okay okay.
A lot of characters around here.
We are schmoving.
Yo let's go.
Stay right. Stay right. Lawrence. The biggest hater in rollerblading.
I was not expecting to see you here. Really? Yeah. All right we're in my comfort zone now baby.
Man hip checks on three. Hip checks. Let's go.
You're basically.
Oh that's why you need big wheels.
Bike. Bike. Bike.
Oh we're making a left turn baby.
We just made it back from the first. The first one.
It's lovely. And I still have a Lexus chain. I'm probably not going to give it back
because it makes me feel very confident. I need it.
What's up David? Hey. How are you? Good you? I'm sore but I'm good. Yeah? Yeah.
Hello inline. You want to try a specific frame set up with wheels or whatever
you can rent them which I think is very very clever and extremely unique.
All right so we are at the Toronto Roll day two. We got some clinics going on.
What are we learning today? We're learning power slides at the moment. Okay.
Lower like this. Got you. Yeah so as low as you possibly can.
Yeah Jackie. How we doing? We're out here. We're out here. We're out here.
Si's doing some jumpy jumps. We're doing some slidey slides. Some slidey slides and some jumpy
jumps. Great little clinics. What's up Si? Let's go.
Okay and we have another clinic happening at the Bentway so we're gonna go check that out.
I think it's really cool that there's an event in a city and it's a skating event.
They're actually offering classes and you know actual infrastructure in order to help
people learn how to skate better. Giving people the tools to navigate throughout
the actual city. I think that that is how events should be done. So pig ups to Bill Stoppard
and all of the other hosts who have kind of helped with this stuff. We're gonna hop in the bike lane
I think that that's how it ought to be honestly. It's great. Oh this ground sucks.
We have even more folks here which is great. Camden is putting on a class on how to magic slide.
Oh what's up? We're learning some magic slides. Learning some magic slides. Here comes Camden.
I don't know if I trust her.
Camden is explaining what's going on right?
It's this ASMR for Camden's magic slide. We're gonna make this very vibey.
What is the most common mistake of trying to learn how to magic slide? People end up doing
the splits. You need your front leg locked and again your back knee close in. All the
mistakes I see are basically with the back leg and not getting the back leg to follow properly
and then you lose your form.
Day two. Getting ready for the skate party and uh yeah.
All right we are rolling. We got all generations here. It's lovely.
Thank you. Over. Over. Over.
Hey you're safe. You're safe. You're safe. Kind of.
Biggest hater in rollerblading. I'm here with my favorite person in rollerblading.
He makes me feel so welcome. I'm not flying here.
Yeah.
Yeah you got it. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry.
You got it. You got it. You got it. You got it.
Who is that guy?
Yeah. On his front row. Great. Front row. Front row. He's. I paid for this. He's my biggest hater
and my biggest fan at the same time. It's crazy. Man you make those streets look so good.
I had a really good time in Toronto. That was super super fun. I hope you enjoyed that video.
Next time I'll be hitting the streets of Toronto with Camden and Alexei
so you can see me try to keep up with the locals. Stay tuned. Subscribe. I'll see you in the next one.
Peace.
