Whatever is the farthest thing from
Taipei is me. I just kind of took a risk
and I was like, let's do it. So, I quit
my job.
>> You are the most supportive person I
have ever met. You are married to like
one of the most successful people in
country music and you are not too cool
for Broadway. Meanwhile,
>> why would you be?
>> We'd only hung out like twice and I had
my sority formal coming up. I was like,
"Hey, I know you're like 35, but
something that people don't talk about,
I feel like is so trendy right now to be
like, I'm cutting them out of my life.
They're they're toxic. I'm cutting them
off. And it's like bring back caring.
Like you have to care about things. He
DM' me and obviously I'm like stalking
him and they're like
>> you're like throwing your bra on the
stage,
>> which by the way I have done at his
shows. Like
>> what has that transition been like
becoming a mom?
>> I think people are so scared of it, but
it's beautiful. The harsh news that
people need to hear is that if you don't
like a party bus, you are boring. That's
my TED talk.
>> Hi house guest. Welcome back to my home.
This week you are coming over to hang
out with me and a friend. We have Callie
Hardy on the show today. She is like
actually the nicest girl I think I've
ever met in my entire life and I am so
excited for y'all to get to meet her.
Obviously, she is Hardy's wife. She is
so much more than that. She really her
Instagram bio is like woo girl and she
is just so nice. Like we're telling you
guys how we met, all the things. We're
talking more about her motherhood you
guys are going to love. But before we
get into today's episode, I did need to
announce our next book club pick, which
is a house guest fave. It's Susie
Welch's new book, Becoming You. Earlier
this year, we did the Values episode,
which is one of, if not the most
referenced podcast episode. It is by me
most referenced, but also just like the
amount of DMs that I get from y'all
about that episode every day. It was
released in January. It's just the most
interesting thing ever. Like, you think
you know what values are, but you don't.
She creates this entire framework. which
is this class at NYU where there's like
15 I believe values that you have things
you've never heard of in your life and
then your aptitudes and then she
combines that with something that's like
economically viable. It tells you what
to do with your life but more than that
it makes you like understand yourself,
understand other people better. It's so
fascinating. So when this book came out
I was like okay that has to be a house
guest book club pick. Also I did want to
let you guys know cuz I do get a lot of
DMs and questions about the quiz. So,
when that episode went live, the quiz
wasn't live yet, but the quiz is live
now and you guys can take the quiz. Code
Kinsey 40 for 40% off. It's a free quiz,
but if you guys want, like I paid for it
just to have like more in-depth like
conclusions on it. But if you guys are
interested, you guys can use that code
for 40% off. But anyway, Becoming You by
Susie Welch is our next book club book
pick. And if you guys are a house guest
listener, like it is so right up our
alley. Like, you guys are going to
absolutely absolutely love it. Anyway,
without further ado, let's welcome
Callie Hardy on to the show. I like a
person who likes things a little too
much.
>> That's fine.
>> And that's like me with everything.
>> That's fun,
>> you know? I like that. I think like
what's the fun in only liking things
halfway?
>> I literally couldn't agree more. Dive
into something, you know?
>> Exactly. Like if you are semiinterested
in something, like just go all out.
>> My goal for this year was to literally
get into hobbies cuz like I have so many
different interests and things that I
like, but I never I I like don't
>> I don't dive in and that's what I need
to do. Okay. What hobbies are we looking
at here?
>> Oh my god. Okay. So, I don't know. Maybe
you can help me. You're like the You're
a Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I do want to
start getting more into ma jang.
>> This is really exciting for me.
>> We My family is a big game family. Like,
we love games. Any dinner, anytime
anyone's over. I mean, we I do game
night with my friends all the time, but
I love a game that you have to like
think sometimes, you know.
>> Oh, and that's maj.
>> Yeah. So, I would love to start getting
into that more. Um, I love animals. I
have to do some sort of animal
>> horses
>> hobby. I love riding. Like I Yes, Holly.
>> I've been wanting to go visit Cowboy
Ranch Rescue. Yes, we should go.
>> We have to. Yeah. So, I want to do that.
And then I don't know. I need to start
cooking more. Like, oh my god, I have to
cook. It's so embarrassing. The end.
>> You have a recipe journal?
>> Yeah, I do.
>> I'll write some things down for you.
>> I actually really enjoy it. I just don't
do it. I get that.
>> And every time I cook, I'm like, why
don't I do this more? This is nice. Yes.
>> But ever since I had Rosie, I was like,
"No." Like, "My family is going to be a
family that cooks
>> and eats dinner together, so I have to
get on that."
>> We We have some great movement that can
be made here. And I really like this
starting this jumping off.
>> We have You're like, "We have lots of
room to do something here.
>> So much room now." And like, we're
heading in the right direction.
>> I did sourdough for a while, but
>> Oh, I didn't know that. Yeah, I did
start for a while, but I travel so much
that it died in the fridge.
>> Well, you know, I Do you need starter? I
have some. I can give you some before
you leave.
>> I will gladly take some.
>> I'll give you I have some a pumpkin
cinnamon swirl loaf. I'll take I'll give
you some to go as well. It's incredible.
It really is. But you have to butter it
and you have to put cinnamon on it for
>> Are people not buttering their toast?
>> People butter it, but they're not adding
cinnamon to the butter. And I feel very
passionate about the cinnamon being
added to the butter. Cinnamon sugar
butter is the best thing on this planet.
>> 100%. Texas Roadhouse butter.
>> So, do you like
>> Do you have a schedule for your
sourdough? Cuz that's like time
consuming.
>> Well, you can keep it and put it to
sleep in your fridge and even if you
think it's dead, it's not. You can
always
>> just baking it. It takes like a
>> I know. Well, I'll do a prep the day
before and it takes like 5 to 6 hours
>> of my prep schedule and I'll just do it
while I'm working from home or at night
and then I'll bake it the next morning.
>> That's That's beautiful. No, like we are
really we're getting somewhere. Should
we tell the listeners like how we met? I
think we should probably start there.
>> Yeah. Okay. Yeah.
>> Okay, guys. Well, this is my friend
Callie Hardy. We have been Instagram
friends for quite some time.
>> You are also actually the nicest girl
I've ever met in my entire life. I
always say that about you.
>> That is so nice.
>> You are the most supportive person I
have ever met. Like, we're at dinner and
she's like, "Guys, but do you know about
Kinsey's cards?" No, you have to play
Kinsey's cards. She's like, "Here's a
question for you. You you you people
will stop playing them. She's like, "Oh,
sorry. Get back to the cards over here.
>> But you're okay." But it's you're so
easy to support because it's a great ass
product. This is what I mean.
>> Like it is good. Like there's not enough
good [ __ ] out there. And so when you
find something good, you're like, "Hell
yeah." Like it made me excited. Do you
know what I mean?
>> Yes. No, you are literally It's
everything. You are the most supportive,
nicest girl actually in the world.
>> That is really nice. I appreciate you
saying that. I I mean that's the point,
right? like when you see something you
like and you are awesome. So it's like
you want to support somebody who is nice
and kind and welcoming. I was so excited
when I got the invite to the dinner. I
was like it's happening. I was like
we're going to be friends.
>> I was like we're really making some
movement here. Then I hosted a friend of
mine dinner a couple months ago which
was the best dinner. That was like the
best group of girls.
>> It was so good.
>> It was incredible. Like I seriously have
not stopped talking about that since
because
>> influencer events like
>> 100%.
>> Send a chill down my spine.
>> I don't even go.
>> No, I I don't anymore. Like I literally
don't anymore. It is
>> like the way that they're portrayed on
like TV shows like people making fun of
them. Like that's how I feel is reality
when I go to those things.
>> No, I think that is actually how they
are.
>> Do you know what I mean? So it's really
hard for me to enjoy stuff like that.
Like Yeah. Like I've just stopped going
kind of. And so when I went to the
dinner, I seriously it was the best
group of girls, the best vibe. Everyone
was so genuine. Like I feel like
everyone at that table would be friends.
>> Mhm.
>> Outside of that room. Do you know what I
mean? Like it was so good. You put on
such a great event.
>> Thank you.
>> I cannot speak highly enough of that.
>> It really was a group of girls. I had
just The podcast is going to be so
annoyed of me talking about this, but I
just finished reading this book, The Art
of Hosting. I think I was probably
telling you guys about it then.
>> Yeah, you were talking about it. So, I
was implementing so many of the things
that I'd learned like throughout that
book and it really made the biggest
difference even as much as like that
seating chart was very well thought out.
Like there were things before that I did
to that dinner to make it so much better
and that was what it was. But it it's
literally all thanks to Pria Parker
who's the author of that book. Like I
learned so much and we and I feel the
same way. Like I don't like influencer
events and they give me like a lot of
stress and anxiety. I love hosting a
dinner, of course, but like
>> very different. It's very different and
I was really stressed about it, but it
was it ended up being like the best time
ever. So, anyways, we really bonded
there and we're going to be on a party
bus very soon. I'm gone in the next
month, but I'm back in October and I
need us to be on a party bus.
>> When do you leave?
>> ASAP on Tuesday.
>> Okay. Okay, that's totally fine.
>> As soon as possible.
>> We'll find a day. We'll find a day.
>> That's another thing I love about you is
that our shared mutual love of party
buses, they get a bad rep. What's so bad
about a honky tonk express?
>> The harsh news that people need to hear
is that if you don't like a party bus,
you are boring. Like, I'm so sorry.
>> Same with Broadway. We were talking
about that, too.
>> What the hell is wrong with people?
Like, people act like they move here and
then Broadway just like goes to die. It
is the most magical place on the planet.
>> It is actually the most fun place that
there ever has been.
>> And it's so fun. Like, if you're coming
here and having fun when you're visiting
it, like, why wouldn't you do the same
thing when you live here?
>> 100%. I love Broadway and like I have
been I told you this at the dinner. I
still haven't had my night yet, but I've
been planning like the day that I gave
birth. I was like, "Michael, here's the
deal. There's going to be a day and I
need the whole night and then I need
that whole next morning and I will give
you frozen milk, whatever. I'm going to
Broadway and like I don't want to wake
up. I don't want to open my eyelids for
24 hours from the moment I go out until
the next day." Like
>> and I've been prepping for that. So, it
hasn't happened yet, but that will be
our Broadway night.
>> That is another thing I love about you
is that you are not too cool for
anything. Like, you are so you are
married to like one of the most
successful people in country music and
you are not too cool for Broadway.
Meanwhile,
>> could you be
>> all these people who move to Nashville
and like suddenly think that they're the
[ __ ] and they're too cool for Broadway
and like look at you out and about on a
honky tonk express.
>> That is like probably the worst thing
ever is when you're too cool. Like,
>> yes,
>> if you're too cool for things or like
people who act like they're too cool for
things, it just sucks the enjoyment out
of everything.
>> It makes other people feel weird. Like,
that's like being too cool for something
is like the same vibe as when you like
yuck someone's yum. Do you know what I
mean?
>> And you're just like, why? Like,
>> what what does that bring you? That's I
hate that. So, yeah, you can't be too
cool for things. All the fun things are
the least cool things.
>> Yes.
>> Do you know what I mean? So, it's like
that is what that's where the real fun
is.
>> Yep. So,
>> and it's fun to care. It's fun to like
something. Like, it it's just fun to get
into something, but people like people
are living those boring, stale lives
because they think that they're too cool
for everything. It's like, just go to
Broadway. You'll be fine.
>> And I feel like that's so trendy right
now. And I always I always talk about
this to my friends. I feel like it's so
trendy right now to be like,
>> "You don't care." Or like just be so
nonchalant or be like, "Oh, I'm cutting
them out of my life. They're they're
toxic. I'm cutting them off." off and
it's like bring back caring like you
have to care about things you have to
nurture like relationships in I mean in
all aspects of your life like you have
like bring back caring I hate I hate
that
>> hate it we have gone way too [ __ ] far
when it comes to boundaries like just
say you don't want a single soul in your
life seriously
>> I literally if I see another Tik Tok on
boundaries oh my god I'm going to throw
my phone out the window like who is that
girl like I think she made a Tik Tok it
went viral about picking your friends up
at the report. Have you used I've seen
that. Yes.
>> And she was just talking about how
that's a lost art. And I'm like, "Yes,
yes, that is what I've been saying."
Like just cuz someone pisses you off one
day, they're like, "I need to set
boundaries and I need to kick this
toxicity out of my life." Like, oh my
god. If the over therapized language,
like I cannot handle. I seriously cannot
handle it.
>> It is so crazy cuz also like the
boundaries that people are talking about
on the internet are not actually
boundaries and what they were meant to
be to begin with. It's literally just
like cutting someone off because you
were slightly inconvenience. It's like
news flash, relationships are
inconveniences.
That's what that is.
>> And that's what makes relationships
beautiful. If you cut every single
person out of your life that pissed you
off one day,
>> like hello, no one would have any
friends.
>> No, you would not have a single friend
and then we have a loneliness epidemic
and we're shocked.
>> Yeah. Literally. Exactly. Exactly.
>> Crazy.
>> I know. I I that actually gets on my
nerves so much and I think about that so
often because you have to that's just
part of the human experience. Like
nobody's perfect. People go through
highs and lows and as a friend or
anything like a significant other, you
have to be able to forgive and be
understanding and see past those things.
And like just because someone's not I
mean you don't have to like everyone.
Like if someone if you just don't like
someone and you're like I know this
person isn't going to be my friend, like
that's fine. But if someone's been there
for you and they've been a good friend
to you, like you owe them
>> that. Yes.
>> Even if it's inconvenient cuz you give
it back to them.
>> When people say you don't owe anyone
anything, I'm like shut up. No, I
seriously you owe them like common
decency, respect, kindness. Like you
actually do if you want relationships.
Like it we're really in this like new
age of
>> It's so It's such a selfish like culture
right now.
>> I just think we've taken therapy too far
to where it's become like self
obsession.
>> Yeah.
>> And we're never going to like get what
where we want to be.
>> No, it's it's very true. And that's you
just can't do that. You can't do that.
People are very multifaceted. They have
a lot of different, you know, things eb
and flow. Everything es and flows, but
you can't be selfish. Like if I feel
like I truly feel like if all things
were rooted in love and gratitude, it
you will always find your answer to
everything. And like not saying, you
know, there's always a point that you
reach where you like it's time. Cut
someone off, whatever. But give multiple
chances like don't be so rigid, you
know,
>> like put yourself out there. And I think
it's like more rare that you actually
need to cut someone off than it is
completely on TikTok that are telling
you like I cut this person off and these
people they were jealous of me and they
were this and that and the other and
it's like no one no one thinks about you
that much girl. I don't know what to
tell you.
>> Literally no one think No, it is
seriously coming from like a
selfobsession like a perspective of a
self obsession. Like it has to be no one
is thinking about you that much. Like
no,
>> seriously. And that's why it's so
>> like people get so excited when they
find somebody that cares
>> because like you just don't hear about
that anymore. And like that's sad.
That's so sad.
>> No, literally bring back caring.
>> Yeah. So that's that's Yeah, that's my
TED talk.
>> Bring back caring on the Honky Tonk
Express.
>> Party bus is the way to do it.
>> Party buses bring back people together.
>> We like go into business on a party bus.
>> It's literally therapeutic. If you
haven't spent a night on a party,
>> if you're in a funk, honest to God, I'm
so serious. You might just need a
weekend on a party about Yeah, you just
need to do fun things. Like, let loose a
little, you know?
>> Let loose. Honestly, peak of my life, I
could tell you right now, it was fall
2022. I was with my friends from Dallas.
She's like, it was it was a brisk
day.
>> 73 out. And we had a lot of high noons
and we were on a party bus, the Honky
Tonk Express to be exact.
>> Yeah, that's a great word. I don't think
I've ever reached like that level of
peak happiness. Truly,
>> they're so much fun. Like
>> so fun.
>> Oh my god. I mean, did you used to do
party buses in high school? Was that it?
Yeah. Okay. Same.
>> Like I know some people dancing and
stuff. Yes. Concert.
>> Oh, I mean that was where it all my eyes
just
>> it's where it started.
>> My soul opened up and I was like, what
is this?
>> This is the greatest thing ever.
>> Yeah. It's it's the best. And how fun is
that? Like it just break I mean they're
you know they're going down at like
10:00 a.m. in the morning.
>> Oh yeah. The city is just filled with
like magic when the party buses hit the
streets in the morning.
>> Fairy dust as I see every everyone that
passes.
>> We're gonna do but which one do we do is
the question. Like how many follow?
>> It's I'm completely following your lead.
>> Okay. All right. And we obviously we
have to do a theme. Like
>> Oh, obviously we love theme.
>> No, no, no. It's And we're going out on
Broadway after in the theme.
>> In the theme. We have to. And thank god
no one will even notice us in this
theme. It's going to be so chill. We're
going to be so relaxed.
>> Okay. We on my bachelorette party, we
went to New Orleans and we did one of
the nights where everybody dressed up
like Michael
and we were some of these outfits were
so convincing. Like I seriously people
were taking pictures with my friends.
One of Michael's friends from his
hometown
>> just so happened to walk past the bar
that we were at on Bourbon Street and
grabbed my friend Amanda and was like,
"Dude,
>> what's it's me like literally thought
that it was him and we were like, "Oh my
god." So we go all out. Like we take a
theme seriously in these parts.
>> That is so good.
>> Yeah. I have to show you the video. We
made like the best Tik Tok.
>> I feel like I did Tik Tok.
>> That is incredible.
>> It was so fun. So yeah, big theme.
>> You guys have the craziest story.
Michael and I.
>> Yes. Can you take us through cuz you're
from California. Yeah.
>> And then you went to college in the
south.
>> Yes.
>> And then one day you get a little DM.
>> Yeah. Okay. So I Yeah. I'm from San
Diego. And I am very much like a SoCal
San Diego girl. Like
>> that's where the hippie love and peace
comes from in you.
>> I feel like people think of California,
they think of LA. San Diego is very
different. It's very different. And it
has very like chill, you know, just like
beach beach vibes. It really is just
like a beach town.
>> One of my like childhood best friends is
from Carl'sbad. So I always That's where
I'm from. Yeah. So I spent so much time
there. Yeah. I love it there.
>> You're familiar. So I Yeah. I am very
much like California. But but I've
always loved the South. I've been
obsessed with it. Like I have no family,
no friends, like no ties to the South,
but ever since I was a little girl, I
just loved it. It was so fabulous. and
like people get dressed up and hosting
and traditions and history and like I
always just thought it was so like
intriguing to me. So I knew I had to go
to college in the south. Like there was
no other option. So I went to Miss and
it was the best four years of my life.
Every minute I'm obsessed. I am like
hottie totty till I die. I love
everything about it. But yeah, so also I
was like southern men like but I also
was under the impression that it was
like there's a difference between
cowboys and southern men slash like
rednecks which is like the category that
I fell into. But like I was like oh
cowboys in Mississippi like we're going
to miss and then I got there and I was
like wait why are all these New Balance
tennis shoes like walking around on
campus when I live?
>> I get to see a single cowboy hat with
>> No, literally. But but I am home for
winter break and yeah, I get this DM. We
still talk about like how we came across
each other. We It's very confusing. But
I get a DM from Michael and this is way
back when. I don't even like, you know,
he just has like fish pictures and like
hunting pictures on his Instagram. And
he sends me this DM. Doesn't say a word.
No words, no text, anything. It's a
video of him in a deer stand. He was
hunting in head totoe camo taking a fat
pole of Evan Williams just like out of a
handle and I was like,
"What is this?" I I thought it was the
funniest thing. I thought it was so
creative and different and I was like,
"This is my man." Like
>> literally that is my man.
>> Like he put thought into this. Do you
know what I mean? And so I loved it. And
so we just started I sent some, you
know, like flirty thing back or
whatever. I was like, "Save some for
me."
So we just started talking and we just
kind of hit it off. It was like very
casual, you know, nothing crazy and he
was just writing songs at the time. And
Oxford, where Miss, has a little music
venue called The Lyric, which is
actually where we end ended up getting
engaged like years later. that he had a
buddy of his was playing a show at the
Lyric and last minute their drummer got
sick and Michael was supposed to be out
on the road with FGL writing and they
canled that for whatever reason last
minute and so they asked Michael to fill
in and he was like, "Okay, yeah, I I can
go." So then the day of the show, my
friends and I were all going already and
he texted me and he was like, "Are you
like in town? Can you come to this show?
Like let's meet up." And I was like,
"Oh, I'm already going. I'll meet you
there." So we went to the show. He was
play. I'm like I say drums. He was on Do
you know what a coahhone is? Like did we
talk about this?
>> Tell me this. Yes.
>> She says drums loosely.
>> Yeah. So loose. Like could it be looser?
He's on a box drum like sitting on
stage. And the my friends retell the
story and they're always like, "Yeah, he
was playing the bongos."
>> Like it's it's more similar than a drum
>> literally. So I I we walk in and I'm
like with my friend Brooke and I'm like
there he is. Like that's my man. He's
like sitting on this box just like and
I'm like this is it. Like
so I'm trying to wave him down in the
crowd. I'm like it's me. Like hey and he
didn't even look at me like I swear to
God he never saw me and I was like what
the [ __ ] But the show's over. We meet
upstairs on the little balcony and we I
was so oh my god I was so nervous. I
literally and I don't know why. Like I
don't know why I was nervous. Like I
don't like I've never been really like
nervous around guys. I don't know. And I
had my drink and I just remember I like
saw him come out the door and I was
like, "Oh my god, he's coming." And I
just like walked over the trash can. I
just like go chugged my drink and like
threw it in the trash can. I was like,
"Hi." And
>> after you're waving him down in the
crowd, then suddenly he comes up to you
and that's when you get shy.
>> Yeah. He was like he he got out the
thing. Yeah. Literally. Literally. I was
like basically like woo. And I feel like
>> you're like throwing your bra on the
stage,
>> which by the way I have done. I have
done at his shows like in more recent I
think last year.
>> It should be you.
>> Yeah.
>> Literally get enough damn bras up on the
stage like and oh my god I didn't think
that through. I actually like think
about it sometimes at night like I wore
my ugliest bra ever and like then I
posted a video on Instagram and everyone
was like what? That's the [ __ ] bra
that you wear every day. I was like god
why did I do this to myself?
But yeah, anyway, so we met and totally
hit it off and it just was like I don't
know, it was just very crazy. It was
like
>> it was like peace. Like we just met and
clicked and we were both so into each
other. It was like very reciprocated
which was, you know, a great sign. So we
hung out all night,
>> hit it off, went to Huddle House, and
yeah, that was it. He left his wallet in
my condo, which he swears was not on
purpose. And I was like, we know better
than that. like it's been years. You can
stop lying. And then
>> we literally have a kid. You didn't tell
us the truth.
>> Yeah.
>> He's still playing hard to get. And we
um I was 20 and I was coming up here for
my 21st birthday. So I was like, I'm
going to Nashville and he was like so
excited. So my girls and I came up on my
21st birthday and he like rolled out the
red carpet for us. He showed us all
around town. He hung out with me and my
girls all weekend. It was so fun. And
then what sealed the deal was we had
only hung out like twice. I mean
literally those two times and I had a
sor my sority formal coming up and I
asked him I was like hey I know you're
like 35 but
he was like I don't how old was he? He
was like 26
and
>> I know you're old and all literally I
was like are you too like old to do this
but do you want to come to my sority
formal? and he didn't have a traditional
college experience, so he didn't do
Greek life or anything like that. And he
was like, "Yeah, like sure, [ __ ] it.
I'll go." So, he came down and we had so
much fun, but he asked me to be his
girlfriend on the school bus ride
>> on the way to the venue.
>> That's so sweet.
>> And we've been together ever since. So,
yeah, it was modern day love story.
>> It's a beautiful love story. Before we
get into anything else, my favorite
story ever that you tell is the like FGL
on his Instagram story.
>> Oh my god, how did I forget that?
>> There is nothing better than this story.
It is so I have told probably five
people that story since because it is so
funny.
>> It like it actually I seriously I laugh
so hard every time I think about it. But
it was so like it's like the honest to
god truth. I
>> and also at this point like he's early
in his career.
>> Yeah. I mean he's just writing songs. Up
down was on the radio like had just gone
to radio I think and that and that was
his first number one. So like
>> it wasn't his first cut but like I don't
I don't know. I didn't know anything
about music. I was going to say you're
also completely new to this. Like you
don't No.
>> Yeah. Like it's one of those things like
when you're in Nashville and you have
friends in music, you understand the
lingo and stuff but it takes a second
and then you start to get it. Like I
understand it because it's a lot of my
friends husbands. I get it now. Before
that I would have been like I don't
understand.
>> I have learned so much about the music
industry. But yeah, so he was just
writing like writing songs. Upd
me. So okay. So, he DM'd me and
obviously I'm like stalking him and
there's there's a couple pictures
like too many for comfort. There were
like just too many pictures of him with
FGL Florida Georgia line. And I'm
looking at these pictures and I'm
thinking to myself, oh my god. Cuz he's
wearing and he's wearing a pass, okay?
And they're like in front of a tour bus
like it's the you know, like the whole
thing. And I'm like,
this guy
is an FGL super fan. like he this man is
using his money to travel around the
country and follow them and buy meet and
greets with FGL and I was like ah like I
don't know like I don't know and that's
just like with any super fan like it
could have been anyone like I would have
been like something's not right here
like something's not right so I kind of
>> following them around the country
>> I literally was like oh my god like I
don't know about this I was like we're
going need to get to the bottom of this.
And for whatever reason, I like never
asked about that or anything against my
better judgment. But yeah, I was so
freaked out. I was like, "Oh, fuck."
Like, "This is it." I was like, "This is
the downfall of of this little
relationship." But yeah, I was like,
"What the [ __ ] This guy is literally
like he's like getting in an I'm
picturing him in an RV like following
them around the country just being like
on every run with them. I didn't know
that he was like out there working with
them." Yep. So, yeah. Yeah, that is
that's one of that's a good one. That's
a good one to tell.
>> FGL superfan is
>> Yeah, FGL superan question mark. I was
like, okay.
Okay, we're following people around. I
was like, someone has a restraining
order out there against him.
>> Oh my god. Yeah, that was hilarious. I
literally I don't think I ever even
asked him about it.
>> Yeah. Like I don't know what happened.
Did you put it together?
>> I don't know what happened with that.
But okay, FGL sings on Updown. Like
they're on Updown with Morgan. So then I
think that was kind of like like I
connected the dots and I was like okay
we're good. We're in the clear.
>> I think that we're going to be fine
here.
>> Yeah. I was like
dodge ball with that one. I can't
believe I forgot to tell that. Yeah.
That's like my favorite thing ever.
>> Can you imagine if like your 8-year-old
self saw your life now when you just
were obsessed with the South? You are
living like actually like the Southern
royalty dream.
>> Oh my god.
>> Of like you marry like the country
artist. You're in Nashville, Tennessee.
Like you really are living that. It is
actually so crazy cuz like this is what
I was like. Yeah. Literally like if I
was eight and you were like what what's
your dream life? I would literally be
like oh my god in in Tennessee and
country music like it is crazy. I don't
know. Maybe like people say manifest
like all the time. Maybe I was like
manifesting before I knew what
manifesting was.
>> Yeah. You just you were ahead of your
time.
>> Guess so.
>> You were ahead of your time.
>> Yeah. I don't know. It is pretty crazy.
I think about it all the time. Like look
at
just what look at our life. Like it is
crazy. It's very fun. It's very
challenging, but it is wild. Like it's a
very unique unique life and we have a
lot of fun.
>> No. Take us more behind the scenes
because your life and schedule would
just stress me out so bad.
>> I am not okay. Like what day of the week
is it? I don't even know.
>> It is It's hard. It's definitely a
>> It's a transition. Like you have to
learn. You definitely have to work your
way up to it. And I'm not on the road as
much as I used to be because it's just
hard. Like you literally are living out
of a suitcase. It's pretty tough because
even if shows are just Thursday, Friday,
Saturday, you're leaving Wednesday and
then you're coming home Sunday. So you
literally have Monday and Tuesday at
home. So that's hard. Like that's a hard
schedule. And touring is also not
glamorous. I think people have this idea
that it's a super glamorous thing and
you're on the road and whatever. I every
single like wife that I know, they start
off, they're on the road 247 and they're
like, "You couldn't [ __ ] pay me to
get back there." Like,
>> yeah. And also something that people
don't talk about, I feel like, is it's
very different when you're on somebody
else's tour versus when it's your tour.
So, like I think last year was Michael's
first headlining tour. I don't know, I
might be getting that wrong, but it is
very different. like you kind of get to
take a deep breath and be like, "Okay,
like this is his tour. You make the
rules." Because you're on your best
behavior when you're on somebody else's
tour. So, you can't really like I don't
know. Like, if you're loose Yeah. Like,
and it I don't know. Like, I have a lot
of family everywhere and you can't just
be like, "My whole 10, 15 cousins are
coming to the show tonight." Like, you
can't really do that, you know? So it's
like it's and there's just a lot of
other people that you don't know and yes
you become friends with everybody and
like you get s super close with people
but it's just different like it's home
away from home but it doesn't really
feel like home home like ah home I feel
like until it's like your tour. Do you
know what I mean?
>> Yeah. Are you a routine person
typically?
>> No. Yeah. So it can't be I mean okay
Michael Michael is kind of I mean I
wouldn't say more routine but he's like
type A and I am so type Z like whatever
is the farthest thing from type A is is
me and so no I don't have a routine but
you really like can't in this life like
it's just too hard. There's literally no
way. I could be a lot more organized
than I am and that would probably help
me a lot. Make me feel a lot better
throughout the week. But yeah, it's
really hard. You just kind of lose track
of time. Like you don't know what day it
is. You don't know what's going on.
You're like, "Wait, what?" You don't
know what. And also, I kind of fly by
the seat of my pants like I don't know
if I'm going to go on the road this
weekend. But then last minute, I'm like,
"Okay, that sounds fun. I'll go." And
then I just throw it back together and
go. So, it's like I literally never know
what I'm doing. or like the other day
when I was supposed to go to the dinner
party, we had to like bump up the bus
schedule and so then I had to leave
earlier than I thought and you know
things just happen. How often are you
traveling right now?
>> Okay. Well, summer is a very busy month
and not for tour. I have a lot of like
family vacations that we take. We have a
lot of like family tradition trips that
we take and so those are my priority in
the of the entire year. Those trips are
our family's priority like every single
year. And now we have, you know,
Michael's family traditions that we get
to go to as well. So there's a lot of
travel that's not tour related in the
summer, but then summer's also busy
season, so we're gone a lot. But I
travel like,
oh my god, I don't even know. I mean,
I've been gone for I've been gone more
than I have been home the past couple
months.
>> That makes sense. But I'd say I go on
the road probably every other weekend
unless I feel like I need a break and
then I'm like I got to stay home.
>> Yeah. You're just done.
>> Yeah. Well, and Rosie, I'm like, "This
poor child needs a a schedule. She needs
a sleep schedule. She doesn't know
what's day or night.
>> She is so cute, too.
>> My little muffin.
>> I'm obsessed with her.
>> She is so cute. She's the best baby in
the whole world.
>> Like, what has that transition been like
becoming a mom?
>> Oh my god, it's amazing." Like I think
people are so scared of it. Rightfully
so. It's a lot. It's a big change. And
and I will preface by saying I we have
been blessed with the most
easy amazing child. Like she really has
not given us many problems. And I know
that that is not normal and that's not
the case for a lot of people. But it's
amazing. Like it's so fun and you don't
have to change as a person. And like I
feel like people make it seem like the
day you give birth you're like not you.
And that's just not the case. Like
you're still you.
There are you're a different version of
you because you're just put through like
a very challenging time and like things
are high stress and you're not sleeping
and you're learning and there's tension
and you know like that is hard but it's
beautiful. Like she is amazing. We have
so much fun. and everything is new and
like you just see life through this
little baby's eyes and you get so
excited for everything and it just
brings like an extra little sparkle to
everything you do. Like is she It's just
magic. It It is amazing.
>> That's like really encouraging to hear
because I feel like so much around
motherhood which I'm sure everyone's
experience is so different. I'm sure if
your baby is worse that would really
change. actually hesitate to even talk
about it because I know that like some
moms are going to be screaming through
the phone right now at me being like,
"You dumb bitch."
>> No, but I do think it's good to hear
because so much of what you hear online,
which understandably, so I'm like also
grateful that they're vulnerable, but a
lot of it is a little scary cuz you
think like, am I going to lose myself?
Am I going to lose every single thing
that I like? Will I ever have a moment
for myself? Am I going to even enjoy
this? Like, I know I'm going to love
being a mom. But I do like that
perspective. Even if I have a different
experience, I like to hear that. You
know what I mean?
>> Yeah. And even like
>> even rough patches, they're so temporary
and they're very fleeting. So like
everything comes to an end. Like you
just have to remember that. And the days
do go by slow sometimes, but then the
weeks, the months go by so fast. So like
everything is over before you know it.
and you're like, "Oh my god, where's the
time?" But it's it's amazing. Like, it
really is amazing. And I think people
don't have to be scared. Like, I know
again again I will say I know that
that's not everybody's experience, but I
think it's so important to just like try
to find the positive and don't go into
pregnancy and motherhood with a negative
perspective because I think that that
manifests and it
>> literally will give you a negative
experience if you are like so scared and
hesitant and like whatever. But um I
don't think that it has to be that way.
Like I think there's a lot of things you
can do to help yourself, but it's really
hard. I mean, it does take a village.
Like I have family here. Thank God. If
my if I couldn't call my sisters and
have them like help me and come babysit.
My parents are like here part time now.
So I and Michael's whole family is here.
So that's huge. Like people who don't
have support systems. I literally I used
to I used to cry every single day my
first like month of pregnancy or uh
after I gave birth to Rosie because I
would just think of like single mothers,
people who don't have support and it
would literally crush me. Like I don't
know how I don't know how people do it
alone.
>> It's so impressive. I really I like that
they are not lying when it's like single
mothers are the strongest people in the
world.
>> They literally are like lit. Like
seriously, I just don't even I mean
Michael's gone a lot so I am alone with
her a lot, but I have
>> people behind me and if I didn't
>> I seriously don't know what I would do.
Like it is Yeah, there's a lot to be
single moms out there. Shout out to you
guys because
>> seriously.
>> Yeah. I love what you said about
identity and how you don't just like
lose your entire identity. And also that
made me think you're married to someone
whose career is really really big and I
feel like it'd be easy to lose yourself
in that as well. Like how have you not
done that and just navigated that even
before becoming a mom cuz you have
multiple challenges to where you could
easily just lose yourself. Yeah. I think
you know it's funny. I've never that's
like so not even been a thought of mine.
Like it's so not even on the brain
because I just know that I would never
like it wasn't an option for me. And I
think I'm so grounded by my friends and
my family that that would just never
have happened. But I think it's always
important to
just like why why would you change? I
just don't really understand. I know
that people can get a big head, but I
think if you always are gracious and
humble, you realize that no one's ever
below you. Like at any any moment in
time or no matter how big like your
husband's career gets, like the people
around you are your team and they're
your friends and everybody is like right
there equal. I think it's important like
you said like do fun things. Don't be
cooler than anybody. Like that is where
>> the fun and beauty is in life. And I
feel like it's just not
I don't know what am I trying to say?
Like you can't It's almost like not that
serious. Like it Yeah. I also think you
have like a temperament for it. I think
you were almost like built for this in a
way that wasn't super obvious though.
Like I think you have such a positive
you just naturally are a very positive
like glass half full kind of person. But
you're als you're very very genuine like
in the way you're when you were saying
like you're not cooler than anyone like
treat everyone the same. You treat
everyone the same like there is no
difference. You would have no idea even
like what kind of world that you're in
if someone just met you. So I really
also think it's like it's not really an
answer. I think you just naturally were
like that way.
>> No. I mean like that's not an option.
Like I never had to work towards it. But
I do think that in not losing yourself,
I mean, it was there was definitely a
moment where it was a very hard
transition where we were put through a
lot of like stress in the very beginning
of like what is this going to be? Like
you're gone a lot. I don't know like do
I go with you? I like I was in my job. I
didn't really know what to do. And I
think that it's helped being able to
just do my own thing. Like it's so crazy
that you can have a job via social
media. But even even with that, like
>> my management jokes like we always joke
that I'm like the most non-influencer
influencer ever because like
>> I know why people come to my page for
the most part. You know what I mean?
Like I'm not saying like, "Oh, people
only follow me because of Michael." Like
they follow me because of me like for
me, but I know that the majority of
people come to my page because they know
about me from him. And like
>> they can come for that reason and stay
for you though.
>> Yeah, totally. And that's fine. Like I
know that that's
[Music]
even like noninfluence influency in that
way too because it's like I'm not here
to try to like
>> change my life or sell people or like
bust out a bunch of content just for the
sake of it. Like I'm just going to live
my life and if you guys want to watch
like you can watch but you know people
are interested in like behind the scenes
and stuff but yeah I don't know. I just
like went off on the biggest tangent of
all time.
>> No I think I want to talk about the
times that were like tense. because
I think it would just be so hard
to be gone all the time.
>> Yeah, it was hard.
>> So, what was that transition?
>> So, like in the very beginning, well,
okay, so we were dating for probably 6
months when he was asked if he wanted to
sign a record deal and he asked me about
it and he was like, "How do you feel
about this? Like, I think I'm going to
do this." And I didn't.
>> Can you also explain like a publishing
deal versus a record deal?
>> Yeah. Okay, so just in case you didn't
know, there are there is a career for
people who write songs. So like if you
are a songwriter, you can sign a
publishing deal and you get paid a
salary to write songs. And then a record
deal is that's like what people think of
when you're like, "Oh, you you're making
it big, signing a record deal." Like
that is for an artist. So he had a
publishing deal and when he was super
close with FGL,
>> when he was a super fan and following
them across the country,
>> when he was buying meet and greets, he
um they were really close and they kind
of actually encouraged him to become an
artist and like start singing his own
songs. And Big Loud, who is still his
label, they um and they're so awesome.
They offered him a record deal and he
signed. And so then that's when you like
officially become an artist and you
start like putting out your own music.
You can go on tours if you know if
everything's working out. So he signed
this record deal, but you know there's a
lot that comes with that that you just
don't really think of. So you right when
he signed his record deal, that's when
you know there's a lot of work trying to
find who you are as an artist. Like
fine-tuning things, trying things out.
What's your personal style? What's your
sound? And like what are you into? And
then also you're having to go to radio
and go on like these big radio tours
which is when you're really gone for a
long time. Like you are gone for
hundreds of days of the year. Like you
are seriously gone way more than you are
at home. And that you know you're you're
going and talking to all the radio
stations, meeting them, basically asking
them to play your song. And that's like
a necessity if you're going to be an
artist cuz like you need your songs on
the radio if you want to have mainstream
success, you know what I mean? So that
was very hard. He was gone a lot. I had
just moved to Nashville. Um it was a
very I mean he was learning how to deal
with that and also like kind of starting
to become a little bit recognizable out
in public. That was very uncomfortable
for him. Then it was uncomfortable for
me because it was uncomfortable for him
and it was like tension. Do we go out?
Do we stay at home? That was a hard
transition in personal life. And then we
just kind of had to figure out like what
are we going to do from here? I knew
that I had to get a job. Like I just
graduated from college. I was working
like weird jobs. Oh my god, I have like
the craziest job story. Side note,
posted that one. But I knew cuz he was
like wanting to get engaged and I was
like, "Okay, we can't get engaged until
I have like a job job. Like I want to
find a good job." I went to school for
marketing. And so I got which was like
my dream job at the time, a marketing
job for AJ Capital, which is they do all
the graduate hotels. The Have you been
to the one here? It's so cute. So I was
super stoked. Had my job. And then with
a 9 to-ive job when you are dating an
artist who's on tour, you literally do
not see them. So you're on completely
opposite schedules. So that was very
very very tough and we knew that we were
going to get married and so I kind of
was having to think about like plans and
the future. We got engaged while I was
still at this job and it was just too
much. Like I couldn't see him. I was not
having fun. It was bringing me a lot of
stress at work and I was trying to plan
a wedding and I was like I just want to
be able to enjoy this time and then at
the same time like simultaneously my
social media was kind of like growing
and I was getting a lot of opportunity
and I you know I was like oh maybe you
know maybe this is something that I
could actually take seriously and like
make money from and then I'll have
better hours. I'll have more
flexibility. So I just kind of took a
risk and I was like okay like let's do
it. So, I quit my job and just started
doing social media full-time. I mean,
full-time, part-time, you know, you know
how that goes. But yeah, and it worked
out and that opened up a lot of time for
us. And so, we were able to be a lot
more flexible. I was going out on the
road more, which helped our relationship
a lot. And yeah, it was kind of all up
from there, but it it was a big learning
curve.
>> Yeah, that's a really hard adjustment.
Also, that is a hard adjustment for
anyone to be just like a normal person
who's like living a normal life and then
suddenly you're recognized on the
streets.
>> It's even harder and weirder when you're
the partner that isn't like you grew up
in like a normal house. You went to Old
Miss, you just like happened to date
this guy who ended up going into this.
Like you were with him before. So like
that is such a
>> a weird unique life experience that very
few people can relate to. Like that's
crazy.
>> It it is. And we're we talk about it all
the time how thankful we are that we met
before all of it because he's all the
time talks about how it would have been
really hard for him to meet someone
after all this like it it it does no
matter how great your fans are and how
amazing everyone is and how supportive
they are. It's not a natural human
experience to have like
>> fame or that much attention or to have
people have so much access to you. And
like people are great, you know? Like
for the most part, everyone is so great.
Like he has the best fans. Everyone is
so respectful, so kind. But it's just
the reality. Like there's going to be
people who make you feel really
uncomfortable. There's so many people
who just don't really
>> boundaries trigger word, but no, who
don't really know boundaries. And so,
you know, you go out
>> and you know the moments when it's going
to be worse than it worse or better.
Like you know, if you stop at a at a
Bies like on the way to Alabama, like he
can't go in there. You know what I mean?
>> Yeah. So, like you know where it's going
to be like better or worse. But like we
can't go eat at
anywhere around Broadway. We don't go
eat, you know, around Midtown actually
or like 12 South, any of those hot
spots. And like if you do,
>> you just kind of know like you know to
be prepared that like people are taking
pictures of you when you don't know like
people are filming you. So it's like
there is a weirdness level that comes
with it and that is pretty
anxietyinducing for sure. But you just
kind of have to come to terms with like
the fact that that's reality and you're
like if this is what you're doing like
this is just going to be it. So
>> yeah, you just almost have to accept it.
>> Yeah, you kind of do. You do and you
have to learn because also like my
biggest fear in the entire world is
somebody having a bad
experience with us or like a negative
interaction with us whether it's on
purpose or not. Like if it's
unintentional. Like seriously my worst
nightmare. I never want anyone to leave
being like they suck. Like I'm at Hardy
and N because I know that's so not who
we are, but like that's also
anxietyinducing.
>> You can't control that.
>> Yeah, you can't. And you never And then
also people just like pull things out of
their ass and just like
>> they make things up all the time.
>> I have had actually this has been like
more in the past year of like friends
that I know who I'll see like I will
have witnessed someone coming up to
them. I saw the whole exchange and then
they're the ones who make the Tik Toks
the next day and will say what happened
and I'm like I saw that with my own I
literally was there that didn't happen
at all. But at the end of the day like
people you are going to find what you're
looking for. So if you are going into
any experience we've kind of touched on
this earlier in the podcast but like if
you're going into any experience with
this idea of who this person's going to
be or worse I think sometimes people
we're really paras we're all very
parasocial. you meet someone online,
it's like like we had like oh my gosh,
we're besties. You know, it's like we're
so parasocial. So sometimes if you meet
someone and like you have it built up in
your head that like this person needs to
be my absolute best and they're going to
ask for my phone phone number and do
this and like maybe that person was just
a little bit quieter than you thought
and they were still really kind and nice
but it wasn't like this insane fireworks
moment that you expected. Then they
think you're evil. So like you can't
control that. Even if you're as kind as
possible, like there's always going to
be someone who decides to take it the
wrong way.
>> I know. I know. And you just can't like
you hear it all the time. Like, don't
read the comments. Like, you can't care.
You literally cannot care. Like, no.
>> You It It hurts and it stings and you're
like, gut punch every time you see
something negative, but you actually
cannot let it get to you because you're
like,
>> I know at the end of the day the truth.
The people who I care about know the
truth. They know me. So, like, whatever.
You got to let it go. I literally saw
there's this guy right now actually on
TikTok who's going on this little like
rampage because Michael made a Michael
made a joke the other day. Um there was
like a dumpster truck driving in front
of him and the bumper sticker said like
it was like a tiny little bumper sticker
and it said like stay 300 ft away or
whatever. And he literally made a video
joke about how like if you're 300 feet
away like you can't see that bumper
sticker.
>> Yeah.
>> And this man who works for this trucking
company Oh my god. Like beef beef. I It
has taken everything in me to not just
like go online and just be like I've had
to delete a thousand comments because he
was like Hardy's out here disrespecting
blueco collar workers and then and then
you see and then the comments start
coming like then they it finds the right
audience who just like want to be haters
and then it's like I Hardy came into
Cracker Barrel the other day
>> and my he tipped me $10 with a party of
10 and blah blah blah. happened last
Wednesday at the Cracker Barrel in
Franklin. And I'm like, we were
literally not in town last Wednesday at
the Cracker Barrel. Like, what? I'm
like, people literally will just say
anything. And it's like, you have to
just take a step back and be like,
>> "No, we're good. We're good."
>> People really do make things up all the
time.
>> No, it's actually insane.
>> It is so insane. But if you are just a
person who has no connection to anyone
that has like some sort of platform, you
would just assume like, why would these
people make this up? But actually, it
happens all the time. Like there are
stories that are just completely made up
where people are literally not even in
town when they're saying all of this
happened. Or they'll do like fake checks
with like fake tips and that person's
like, "I've literally never even been
there." And they're like, "No tip,
Kindle Jenner." What?
>> Insane.
>> It's crazy. It is so.
>> And also, just so you know, like we know
that people are going to be talking
about our tips. So, it's like you have
so well anyway.
>> That's another thing I was going to say
like people who know they're being
watched tip double.
>> We tip so well. like so many times when
it's not deserved because we're like
>> god forbid like god forbid someone takes
a picture they're like they didn't tip
me like oh my god no seriously the
amount of tip money is like out of
control
>> it's crazy
>> and I'm not even on Reddit I have made a
vow to myself to never never do it
>> oh my god
>> like and I've seen I've seen the rabbit
holes that people can go down like when
they start looking themselves up on
Reddit
>> no people will be yeah it's so dark it
is so dark you literally have to like
Mel Robbins let them theory that's what
it is
>> no Like that's actually what it is. And
it's so hard cuz like you can say that
but like once you read it it's like it
burns in your mind and you just like see
it every time you close your eyes and
you're like
>> I think it's harder at least for me. I
don't care as much if someone says
something about me, but if they say
something that like about someone that I
care about.
>> Oh 100%.
>> Oh my god. Like I am ready to go.
>> No. 100%. I am so protective of my
family and my friends. Yeah. And that's
like one thing to me where it's like
okay you let the dogs out. Like I I
don't care now. I don't care. Like I was
being nice now. Like all bets are off.
That is I so could I'm so similar in
that way.
>> No, it's something there's something in
me that is like enra. It's like a beast
has been awakened within. That's what it
feels like.
>> Oh,
>> actually crazy. Should we play some
dinner cards?
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> Okay. Just to end off the I know I have
the dinner cards for you specifically.
>> Wait, which Okay, dinner cards and then
those are the night
>> night cards. Yes. Okay. Number one. Do
you believe in soul mates?
>> Yeah, I do. I do believe in soul mates.
I think that you can have multiple soul
mates.
>> I do because I think like there's so
many different paths of your life that
you could have taken and I feel like in
each path you would have found some
version of a soulmate. Agree.
>> I think you almost like decide too at
the end of the day like you just make a
decision. I also I have this theory that
I didn't create this theory. The way I
said that was just like I have this
theory that I invented. I have this
theory that I subscribed to is what I
meant. Um but it's like you have like
good, better, best. And I think a lot of
people only ever hit good because
they're too afraid to be alone. So then
you don't end up getting to like better
or best. You know what I mean? So I
think that a lot of people
>> I think it's like you have so many
different life paths that you could have
taken to different people. And then I
also think even on those paths it could
have been multiple. That is so great. I
could not agree with that more.
>> For some reason, I'm really like we
we've been having this conversation
about settling non-stop cuz I think my
greatest fear in my entire life is
settling.
>> Yeah.
>> And I just I don't know. I'm at the age
like I'm at 28 so I'm at the age where
everyone's like seriously starting to
date or like get married and stuff and
it just gets a little scary, you know?
Really scary.
>> You like this is what I tell all of my f
and like my sisters are single like
they're dating and stuff. You're in such
a good Well, here I am. I'm telling you.
I'm like, you're in a good place for
you. I have updates for you since my
last our last dinner. Okay. How would
you spend your dream day?
>> Oh, okay. Dream day. I'm not much of a
breakfast girl, but something about me.
I love a hotel breakfast. So, like dream
day. I'm waking up in like a beautiful
hotel, honestly. Like, I love a hotel.
Having hotel breakfast. Love that. Then
there has to be some sort of activity.
I'm a big activities girl. It's like
some sort of fun game activity. We're
doing like a I don't know, maybe we'll
go for a little horseback ride like
through I don't know some beautiful
scenery. Then eating, eating, eating all
day. Every meal, every morsel I put into
my mouth has to be delicious. Like we're
eating good food. Like that is the
number one for a good day. Family, I'm
with family. I'm with friends. We're
just having fun, laughing, all the
things. Weather is perfect. 75 degrees,
no humidity. And um
>> to be exact,
>> quite literally. And I don't know, maybe
it's like a fall football Sunday. Watch
a little football game, play some more
games, watch a movie, go outside. Yeah.
I think it's just more about like the
people that you're with.
>> It's the food that you're eating, the
people that you're with.
>> Literally. Yeah.
>> What is your absolute dream job if money
didn't matter and your schedule didn't
matter? More so, I would say.
>> Okay. Okay.
If if concepts could be anything and
like if I wasn't trying to make a dime
off of this concept, my dream job would
to be to open a
rehabilitative penning zoo animal rescue
situation that then turns into a bar
nightclub at night. Obsessed. There is a
a huge audience for that.
>> And it the party bus comes and picks you
up at your house, drops you off at the
location.
>> That would be incredible. And you know
what?
>> That's my dream job. That actually might
be what some of these nonprofits are
missing. Seriously, because if you think
about it, you're going to make a lot
more money with some booze.
>> Like fun and animals are my two favorite
things in the entire world. And like if
I could just mesh those together, that's
literally my dream.
>> That would actually You should look into
that later. Okay, last question. If you
could have coffee with one person dead
or alive, who would it be?
>> Oh my god, that's so hard. Okay. I would
want to have coffee with one of my
actually no specifically my great great
grandmother.
She is who came over from Italy and she
has a crazy story and I would love to
have coffee with her.
>> That would be sick.
>> Yeah, cuz like I honestly I don't care
about like a lot of like famous people
that have died. Like no one really like
I'm I'm not like a die hard for anyone.
Some historical figures would be pretty
cool. But I think that that's more
interesting because then it's like a
connection to you. You know what I mean?
>> Yeah, that would be so sick. Or like one
of my like first relatives like way back
when. You know what I mean?
>> I want to go back like 2,000 years.
>> Yes. Yes. I think that research.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That'd be pretty
cool.
>> Okay. Well, this has been absolutely
incredible. We've already been talking
for an hour.
>> Are we done?
>> Yeah. We literally been talking for an
hour. That went by so fast. Like
actually so fast.
>> If there's one thing I can do, it's
talk. Same. I know. That's why we we get
together and it's just so great.
>> I like I seriously How many times did I
just go off on a tangent and like wasn't
even saying anything that made sense.
>> It was actually perfect. No, before the
podcast every time. I'm like, "Just so
you know, it's very conversational.
Tangents welcome." Because tangents lead
to the best part of the conversation
every time. So, you are our dream guest.
It's perfect.
>> I'm so excited that Thank you for having
me.
>> I adore you. I think you're the greatest
person ever. I just love you so much.
Tell us where they can find you. Oh, you
guys can find me on Instagram, Callie
Hardy. And I do have a Tik Tok. I don't
know my handle. I think it's Callie Ryan
523. I don't know. It's Cali Ryan some
honestly.
>> Tik Tok star.
>> That tells you how much I'm on Tik Tok.
But
>> so that's it. But I love you.
>> Love you. This is so fun. And I had so
much file.
