We decided to stop in San Antonio and take advantage of where we are able to park our little RV. So we decided to park downtown literally feet from the river walk. We took a stroll around the loop then made our way back wishing we could stay longer. We parked at the beach on the Padre Island National Seashore for a few weeks to plan, dream, decompress and prepare mentally for what comes next. Obviously if you follow us on instagram you know exactly what that looks like. We also stopped in downtown New Orleans for some beignets at Cafe Du Monde before heading back to Tennessee. We are back on the road and youtube will be in full swing again so we will continue to document and share our journey with you! p.s. This "free camping on the beach" is free with the national park pass.
So last time we left off we were in El Paso for Madison's birthday.
Are you gonna sing me happy birthday? I can't just blow it out.
And we didn't get a lot of recording done. We went across Texas,
probably 800 miles, but we kind of broke our camera so we got this new one today
about an hour ago. So we're here in San Antonio on the river walk and we're headed down to the beach
tomorrow.
It's so weird that that looks like the space needle.
All right home sweet home.
I always get really nervous about leaving the RV, especially in a city, but now we have,
well Tyler has the camera set up and then we also have a GPS tracker on the RV now.
So both of those things give me a little bit more peace of mind.
That's the first time that we left the RV by itself in the city.
Yeah yeah because we're like downtown.
Yeah so here's the app and it shows the little RV exactly where we are
and by the time this video is posted it won't matter us showing our location.
But it also shows us in all the places that we've traveled today to be able to get downtown.
It's really cool.
So it's pretty neat.
So we're gonna go south of the city a little bit and find a Walmart
to park in that is safe and then tomorrow morning we're gonna go to
the beach and spend the rest of our trip down there.
All right let's go to Walmart.
Today is the day that we go to the beach finally.
I know we've been waiting to go to the beach really since we started this trip.
We knew that going to the beach meant it's the end of our trip.
Yep so we're gonna be there for like probably the next three or four weeks
but I think we're gonna be in this spot for like probably a week I would say.
We got about a two and a half hour drive so we're gonna
head on out from this uh this Walmart parking lot.
Beach.
Close to the ocean.
This place is great.
It has dumpsters right there.
There's a bathroom over here.
They got showers.
There's the beach.
Wow.
It's actually a pretty beach.
End to this whole journey that we've had for this year.
It's gonna be good.
Last night we stayed in Magnolia Beach.
We're leaving this morning and going to Galveston.
We're kind of headed back up home I think um for the winter.
We've got a lot of things going on.
We just need to get back home and prepare for next year.
Yesterday was my birthday.
No we didn't really film anything for his birthday but we went to a restaurant on the bay.
Yep.
So he had a good 30th birthday.
It was good.
That was a good one.
Yep.
I'm still here.
I'm standing right here.
Yeah.
We're going home a little bit early so we're going to truck it to Meriden, Mississippi.
And then from there if we get there we should be able to be close enough to be able to get home
back in Tennessee tomorrow which is the plan.
But um yeah we're uh we'll end the video here.
I think this will be kind of our the closing chapter of this time in the in the Toyota
Dolphin.
We'll we'll post another video after this.
It's gonna describe our plans for the future for this next year and what we're getting
ready to do in like two days which is a huge huge thing.
But this is the end of our adventures in our Toyota RV.
It is.
Yeah.
