Hi everybody, it's Shasha with Action
News's fitness tip. Let's do some
Pilates, right? Like I'm here at the AV
Apartments in King of Pussia. I've been
loving Pilates. It's definitely
something that I've added to my workout
routine amongst obviously strength
training and cardio and stuff like that.
But I love it. It really helps me slow
down. It really helps me strengthen my
core and really feel that slow burn in
your muscles. Okay. So, I want you to
come down on your elbow here. We're
going to take this right leg bent and I
want you to extend that left leg out.
Keeping your foot flexed. We're going to
work our one side of the body at a time.
Okay? So, watch me pull my left hip up.
Right? We're going to pull my left hip
up. So, immediately, right away, right
out the gate, my left oblique is
engaged, right? It has to. It's going to
hold my body up, reaching my right arm
to the sky. We're going to connect this
right arm and that left leg. So, we're
going to pull it up together and then
drop it back down. Not letting that hip
touch the ground. So, we're going to
inhale, exhale, pull, and bring it back
down. So, we are balancing. We are
working our inner thigh, right? Cuz this
leg is straight. I don't want it bent.
Keep it straight. Bringing it together
and back down. And so, what we do on the
left side, we're going to do on the
right side as well. But it's a
phenomenal exercise that you can take
slow and at your own time. And you are
going to feel it. You're going to feel
it in the inner thigh. You're going to
feel it in the left oblique. You know,
slow can be good, too. And I hope you
give this one a try. I think you're
really going to like it.
