Our next competitor represents the United States of America, 16 year old Logan Higas Chen, last year's junior national champion, second junior grand prix last season. She's coached by Tammy Gamble, Damon Allen, choreographed by Lori Nickell. Lori, as always, gives such a wonderful context and rich texture to her students when creating a program and this inspired by the lyrics of this wonderful track Cosmic Love. You know, Mark, these athletes are so well trained that generally speaking, they can fly on automatic pilot. But once that automatic pilot doesn't work, they have to fly on their own. And that's difficult because when you're trained, you go out there, you'd run the program like you do every day. But when something goes wrong and you're not used to that, you have to find a way back. And on this day, this was very difficult for her. In fact, she never did really get back to the odd jump here or there. Yes, but lovely skater, really tough day. You know, my heart breaks for Logan Higas Chen. It's just that was a performance just so, so tough to get through. And it just shows you the emotional maturity and strength that these young women like Logan has, because that was a horrible performance for her. So, so difficult to get through. And she has to leave the ice with maturity like she possesses. This is where it all went awry and kind of paved the way for her to feel. I keep thinking of Simone Biles and how she felt, which was describing that complete lack of awareness in the air. And when Logan was going down in the doubles, that's what it appeared to be. They call it the twisties, I think she did. But she came back with a triple loop a little bit later. So she was searching to find a way back into the program, which you appreciate she did not give up. No. But she couldn't find a way on a consistent basis. And this is an experience that's really unpleasant. Perhaps it's, you know, needed. Yeah. Because it's one of those things that you gotta learn. Yeah. And you know, with Tammy Gamble, she's a choreographer like Laura Nichols. She's got Damon Allen on her team as well. So many great influences. And hey, maybe now those that have seen this will now just forever want to kind of put their arms around Logan and support her through the next performance. In many ways now, Logan, you've got an army of new supporters and fans willing you on for every future performance. And we know how good you are as well. And so does Pooh Bear on your lap. But we know how good you are. This is a tough day. We've all been through it. So this is not new to anyone. Oh, hi, I've been there. It's not nice. Exactly. 76.15. That is 16th in the free program. The total competition score 132.70. And that'll put a curtain into 13th. You will rise again, but even higher. You will do that.
