Finish Insulation and Ceiling Slats - DIY Off Grid Cabin Build Episode 48

All right back to cabin and what I want to do today is I want to get this gable end insulated and sealed off, put a nailing strip up, get that last bat of insulation installed and then finally I can finish off all of my sealing slats here. So that's what I want to get done in this video so let's get to it. All right so I've got one foot across. Go ahead and make that cut. Okay now I need 10 and three quarters to nine and a quarter and this is left over from cuts on the other gable so I should be correct there. So I want to come down 10 and three quarters right there. So let's see if that fits. All right that's a good fit. That looks pretty good. It doesn't look like it's going to cover but it will. Everything that is exposed will be covered. All right that's it for the gable. Now I need to put up my nailing strip, get my last piece of insulation up there and then I can finish the sealing. All right that should be perfect for my nailing surface to install my last bat of insulation and then the last of the sealing slats. So let's get that insulation up there. All right I've got my last bat of insulation up so now what I need to do is finish getting my slats installed. So let's do that and then we'll be able to call this one good. So all right I was able to finish the gable end, the insulation and the sealing slats. So I've got above this loft and I've got above this loft.
