EDC 2025. Let's check it out.
EDC or everyday carry. These are the items that you carry on your person all throughout the day.
You know, your phone, your billfold, your keys. I mean, those are things that pretty much
everybody carries. But there are additional things that we find that we need on a regular basis.
And so one of the most requested videos that I have is my EDC videos. I've been doing this for
a number of years. Some things have changed. Some things have stayed the same and switched out.
When the day starts, these are the items that I just pick up regularly. There are times where
I switch it up and we're going to look at that. And I also have a complete EDC setup where I go
in and I have all the items that I need and I can choose from different flashlights or knobs or
things that I'm going to be carrying for that particular event or day. And one of the most
important things is to make sure that whatever you're carrying every day, you can rely on and
it's good quality. And that to me is one of the biggest things for me. So let's check out EDC 2025.
EDC 2025 everyday carry. One of the things about everyday carry, they're items that I typically
miss during the day. And I think I wish I had that with me. And that's what the EDC is all about.
Most people carry a phone, wallet, keys, but these are items that I just find that I need on a regular
basis. A lot of these items have been with me for a while. Some of them are brand new. I've just
changed them out. And so we're going to look at it and a little bit about why I like to carry this
and maybe encourage you. And I'll tell you one of the big things that happened to me years ago.
I was down at Going Gear and Marshall asked me, he said, do you have a flashlight? What is your
EDC flashlight? And I said, I don't have one. And he introduced me to Olight at that time. And I'll tell
you, I started carrying a flashlight and now I can't live without it. I mean, I carry it all the time
and I use it quite a bit. So EDC can change to your needs. First off, of course, is our phone.
And we've got to have our phone. I mean, you're out of touch and it makes it really difficult. So
I love to have a really good cover over my phone. This is an iPhone 15. It'll have a protective
cover on it to protect the front. But this is the OtterBox. And for years I've used the Magpul
phone covers, phone cases. They're great. I did have a couple of instances where I dropped my
phone and I started chipping just the outside. So I switched to OtterBox, but I used OtterBox
years ago, but it was thick. And so now they've really gotten that down very thin. It has a rubber
material to it. It's very comfortable. I just like it. Everybody has their choices. There's a
ton of choices out there. One thing about OtterBox, it does protect the phone better than anything
else. But one downside is that I like to keep a couple of 20s in the back just in case I need it.
With the OtterBox, it's difficult to remove the back because it has a frame around it. You can do
it. And I still do keep a couple of 20s in here, but that's just the one downside. But overall,
I like the way it protects my phone. Plus I can put this on my wireless charger
and I can charge this phone very easily. So OtterBox, I'm a big fan. Then of course,
my billfold. Now this is something I've actually had for a couple of years. It was actually from
Olight and they had Obuy and then they kind of let that go. But these sold out really quickly.
I did a review on it, but I love this billfold. It's leather on the outside, but it has a chassis
system for your cards right here. And it makes it really easy to be able just to whip those out.
Now I keep my driver's license over here and obviously I'm not going to show you my driver's
license, but I keep my driver's license, my CWP and I keep important things here. But you'll
notice that it's starting to tear, starting to degrade. So I'm going to have to switch this out
pretty quickly. And so that's just one thing that happens with about everything, but I can keep a
Also, I can keep some cash right here in this front part. I highly recommend carrying cash with
you. You never know when something's going to go wrong and cash is going to be important. Here on
the back, one thing I use this for, and I have my business cards here, but one thing I really like
is when I go to a hotel or whatever, I take that card, the key card, and I just slip it in this
little slot. In fact, we were out of town this past weekend. That way I've got it with me in
my billfold. I don't have to find it. So this was a great billfold and I loved it, but obviously
we're going to have to do a replacement. Next, of course, is your keys and the keys, you got to have
them, get in your car, get in your house. So this is a great option and the key bar has been with
me for a long time. Now this one has micarta scales on it. I did have one that was actually
solid copper and it was so heavy that I switched back to the micarta, but you can see I use this a
lot. And of course, you know, the keys just come out and I have certain keys that I put on here
and I can just push them out and I can get right to them. Big fan of key bar, been a fan for a long
time. And then we have the magnets, which if I want to get my Jeep out, I can just whip this out
and then I can put it back on. And then of course my other keys right here. And then I have one of
the Olights and this is the iMini 3, a great little light. And what I love about it is when I
pull it off, it automatically comes on, put it in and it automatically shuts off. These are really
cool little lights, but overall keys are important. And I have this little tritium vial and honestly,
I can't remember who I got that from. I'll have it annotated below, but this just glows a little bit.
And so when I'm out somewhere and I need just a little bit of light, this actually gives me light
or if my keys are laying somewhere, I can spot it with the tritium in the dark. So big fan of the
key bar and of the iMini. That's just a great little light. Now, speaking of light, my flashlight,
this is one of the Arkfeld Ultras. Big fan of the Arkfeld, very thin. I love it. This one actually
was engraved with Sooch, which they do all kinds of custom engraving on their lights. And so that's
a cool way to be able just to customize your light if you want, but it looks great without it. And
this is the actual aluminum finish. This is O-aluminum. It's considerably stronger than your
regular aluminum. It's scratch resistant. In fact, I took a knife and just scratched one of the test
Arkfelds and there was no marks whatsoever. And I did it with my knife. So really cool light,
very lightweight, flat. It has light and then we can switch it to laser and then we can switch it
to UV. And of course, you know, it just gives you some capability and then it's really bright. It's
about 1300 lumens. So great light. I love the Arkfeld series. It is my favorite. And I do have
a couple of others that I use on a regular basis. And for the pen, I have one of the Uniball Onyx.
I just like this pen and I'm a pen guy. I will search for maybe an hour to find this pen if I
need to write something. So I keep one in my pocket. Also, I have one of the Microtex and this is the
LUDT, which is L Underwater Demolition Team. These are automatics and it's out the side.
It's just is a great knife, has a great spring to it. I love the aluminum scales. I've cut off one
of the pieces on the lanyard, but it's just a really solid knife and I tend to get this out.
Now, this is not a cheap knife and you can see I use it. I'm not about collecting. I'm about using
things and maybe even sometimes abusing things to a point. But this has been my EDC for a long time
and I just love this knife. Also, I have one of the BCM and this is the Mark 15 and it is the Mod 2.
Mod 2 designates a blue bezel. Mod 1 is black. Mod 3 is an OD color. These are limited edition
watches and BCM offers these. They have Swiss movements. I did a full review on this, but this
is really thin, yet it's a 200 meter dive watch and I absolutely love it. Now, I'm a big watch guy,
but this has taken over all the other watches right now. Now, I may switch out coming up,
but this has been the watch that I really love. And of course, BCM is just a great company in
itself. Not specializing in watches necessarily, but the care they put in their ARs translates
over to these watches. And then I have my concealed carry and this is the Bodyguard 2.0
by Smith & Wesson. This has become extremely popular. It's in 380 ACP, which is something
that I typically have not carried a lot. I do carry them like the LCP or the LCP Max,
but I switched to the Bodyguard because this longer grip gives me a better grip. And when I
shoot it, I have a heck of a lot more control over it, but yet it's pretty flat shooting. So,
10 plus 1 and I carry an extra magazine, which I don't have is a 12 plus 1. So, this has been
something that I just carry when I need to be very discreet or I'm just around the house. And
I have a Jackson Leatherwork inside the waistband holster and Jackson Leatherwork does some
incredible leatherwork. And John Jackson's a great guy, but this is one of those little small
options that I carry and it just makes it really easy to carry in and out. But while this is my
typical every day, if I'm just going to get up and throw everything on, this is what I do.
But one thing I like to do is if I'm going out to dinner, I'm going to church, if I'm doing
something special, I have a few other items that I replace. So, for my regular EDC, I carry the
Smith & Wesson CSX. I've been carrying it ever since it came out. It's just a really micro 1911.
It's got an aluminum frame. I love this handgun. I love the finish, all the way it looks.
But this is being slowly replaced at times with the Kimber CDS9. Pretty much a micro 1911,
but I love just shooting this gun. It's just a very flat shooting gun. I love the feel. It
gives me a good handful, but so does the Smith & Wesson. I think one of the things I like better
about the Kimber is the trigger. It's a little bit better, but I had Robbie Wheaton adjust this
trigger because the reset was really light and you couldn't really feel it. So, I've fixed that
and I love this gun. I do carry this gun more than I carry the CDS9, but I'm starting to carry the
CDS9 more and more. And this is, of course, both of these are in nine millimeter. And so, it gives
me a 10 plus one or a 13 plus one round capacity. And so, and that's one of the reasons why I've
been carrying the CDS9. It gives me just a little bit extra. So, these are two that I carry really
on a regular basis, more than any other beside the Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0. And for holsters,
we have the 1791 inside the waistband, soft deer leather. This is really a very comfortable
holster to wear, but I like to carry outside the waistband. And this is one of the Craft Holsters
leather. They do an incredible job. I like Craft Holsters. I mean, obviously I really like this one,
but they just have a very well-made holster for a fairly reasonable price in leather. These are
just two that I've been carrying lately. The belt is the platform. This is what holds your EDC
together and you need a good sturdy gun belt, especially if you're carrying a firearm on a
but it's super comfortable yet it's still very rigid. Now, I have a band around this just so it
doesn't just come unraveled, but it has a brass buckle and it's just a solid belt. And Daltech
Forest makes really high quality belts and I have a number of them, but I tend to
go back to this one as you can see over and over. If I'm going to get dressed up, I'm going to dinner,
I'm wearing a coat and tie, I'm doing something a little bit more fancy, I go with the Core Essentials
belts. I've been using these for years as well. And you have a little latch right here and this is
a ratchet system. It goes all the way up. So you can really get this and tighten it to where you
want it. Love the Core Essentials belt. I do have a nylon belt that I wear as well, especially if I'm
going to shows or doing something. I want to dress it up just a little bit, but if I'm wearing a
suit and tie, this is on or I have a black version as well. So Core Essentials has been really just
one of those belts that I've had, but so has the Daltech Forest Bull leather belts. Now out of my
EDC items though, I changed those out again. Going to dinner, doing something a little bit more
special. I have the Arkfeld Pro and this is the Suche edition. It was a limited edition that
Olight offered and these are no longer being produced. This is a stonewash black titanium
and it's just a great light. It also has light, laser, and UV. And so this is something that is
really a special piece and so I like to wear it if I'm going out somewhere. And I have one of the
Kershaw live wires. I got this at Blade Show a few years ago and man, it is one of the smoothest
out the front automatics that I know of. In fact, we went through and tested all the different
automatics at Blade Show and this is the one that really caught my eye and I love it. Now I have
some Microtex. I like those as well and there are some others, but this is my favorite out the front
and it's just so well made. And so these are items that I do carry when I get dressed up. Now guys,
while this is my primary EDC, a lot of times this is what I'm carrying on a regular basis,
but I do like to switch things out. So a few years ago, I bought a box from Harbor Freight,
it's one of their toolboxes, and I made it my EDC box. I can organize all my stuff. I have multiple
knives, different essentials, things that I just want to have in the box so in the mornings when
I get up, I can just pick it up, change things out if I want. But I also have the Omino, which
was from Olight and it was a charging station, which I love this and I can keep my lights on
there and keep them fully charged. Plus, I'm a big watch guy, so I have a number of watches set
aside right above the shelf and I can get right to them or I love automatic watches and I have a box
that actually rotates the watches on a regular basis. So your EDC is not stuck to one thing.
You can change it out if you want and if you're like me, I'm a little bit of a gear junkie,
so it works for me. So guys, these are the items that I carry for EDC pretty much on a regular
basis and guys, you have to personalize your EDC for you. None of these may work for you and that's
the beautiful thing. We have so many different options. This is just what I use. If you want
to down in the comments, let me know what you like and what you carry on a regular basis,
especially when it comes to billfolds. I'm going to be replacing this one pretty soon.
And guys, we have just revamped our website at suitsgear.com. There's a lot of different
suit swag over there, patches, t-shirts, but there's also a lot of my favorite products are
there. We also have the suits deals where we find all kinds of deals and offer those to you guys
at some of the best prices. Another thing that we do is a lot of the videos that were taken down
by YouTube, which we call our contraband or banned videos and all that's over on suitsgear.com,
so check it out. Guys, EDC, everyday carry, it is a personal preference. It's what you like. It
may be items that you use on a regular basis that nobody else really uses. And so choosing that can
really make your day a lot more convenient, a lot more effective. And so that's the big thing about
EDC. You're going out, you're facing the day, carpe diem, seize the day. Be strong, be of good
courage. God bless America. Long live the Republic. This is something I live with, so I really want
to have certain, okay, I don't want to do that either. Look up websites and things like that.
The phone, okay, okay, whatever. You're just running your freaking mouth, you freak. Everyday
carry, it's something that we do. Okay, I'm going to do that with the intro, shut up. You know,
I have a knife and I really like it, but I might switch it for something else and then I don't know.
Great phone, great phone, great phone, what the heck. Of course, it's a great phone. A couple
of years ago, no, it's been more than that. Boxes that actually turn the watches to keep them
at the right time. Okay, that don't sound right, that don't sound right. God bless America.
