Come to Wuhan and step into the art, spirit, and beauty of intangible cultural heritage. #DiscoverWuhan #YouthOfChina #YouthOfWuhan #TouchWuhan
This intangible cultural heritage craft shop has such a charming vibe.
You can try making sachets, incense plaques and hand strings with blended incense beads here.
What we are going to experience today are fans with foil burning paintings and hairpins with mother of pearl inlay.
What I'm going to make is a fan with foil burning painting.
And what I'm going to make is a hairpin with mother of pearl inlay.
First I trace the outline according to the mold.
And then I apply glue along the shape.
Now I'm going to stick on the gold foil.
I can mix and match colors freely as I like.
Blue, purple, gold.
Now remove the excess gold foil.
Brush it carefully and it's done.
And how to make hairpins?
First select different colored shell pieces.
Grind them.
And then apply some glue to the hairpin and attach the shell.
I have completed the first part.
This is a very meticulous task that requires a lot of patience.
The shell sparkles under the light. So exquisite!
