So another skater that's always fun to watch.
Sent out on his way by the incredible Michael Hood.
A good mentor to have on your side.
This is David Luton-Brain for Monaco.
Down on the triple axel.
I'm not alone, I'm not alone.
It's already been a week in my head.
And if I counted, how many months?
I'm mad.
Can't hang on to the flip either.
I've already thought about it.
To say that many others have already thought about it.
But despite everything, I feel alone.
I've never had suicidal moments.
I'm the only one who thinks about it.
In what they do to me.
Oh, down on the lutz as well.
Oh, dear.
How he would love to do that two minutes and 40 seconds again.
Just could not find his rhythm, could he?
Beautiful program, I loved it.
It was choreographed by Kevin Amos.
And you can see the influence, couldn't you?
You can imagine Kevin doing that program.
Yeah, when the jumps don't work, there's really nowhere to hide.
David Luton-Brain.
That's what I was going to say, Chris.
It's that was so hard to watch for David.
And and sometimes that happens.
And sometimes an athlete can see it coming.
Training's maybe not been going well.
And sometimes it happens for absolutely no rhyme or reason.
And you have no idea what just happened in the last two minutes and 50 seconds.
But I want to commend him on the full package of his skating.
We saw great spins at the end and a great step sequence.
As you mentioned, the choreography done by Kevin Amos,
he feels like it's allowed him to show more confidence in his skating skills
and show a different side to his skating.
I can see that.
Just really unfortunate that we need the technical elements as well.
And unfortunately, those weren't there for David today.
Yeah, it is a real shame.
Good to see him go for the triple axel.
Here it is.
Because he didn't quite make the rotation, did he?
So an under rotation call there from the technical panel.
Here his triple flip.
This was meant to be his solo jump,
but just a little bit back on the heel, not able to hang on to it.
And still with two falls, he committed to the choreography.
Which is obviously always the goal, but it's hard to do.
He's earned a level four in a step sequence of four
on the change combination spin and the flying camel spin.
He picked up as many points as he could,
but the jumping errors will hurt him today.
He earned only three point two for his triple axel, which is worth eight points.
Well, we loved watching it, that's for sure.
Going to challenge for the lead, obviously, with that.
Mark's going to be tough to take, I think.
Yeah, 47.9.
And you see there, forwarded actions.
That really is tough to take.
