GoPro: New track!! Jackson Goldstone DH World Cup Course Preview Lake Placid 2025

Let's see if I can get a triple though. Whoop, just made it. Anyways, all righty, ladies and gentlemen, we're back. Another Trackside podcast from your boy. We're here in Lake Placid for, what's this, round nine of the World Cup series now? And yeah, brand new track here. Super soft, super powdery here in Lake Placid. And yeah, I'm going to be taking you through, here's my second lap today. So still figuring out lines, still sussing where to go because that's not the line definitely. But yeah, anyways, still trying to find some, you know, make the right decisions on tire choice and bike setup and all that. So I'm just going to take you through a cruisy one today. Little jump here. Some really cool sections on this track. Aaron Guinn helped build it. So, you know, he's got a lot of experience on the World Cup scene, so built a pretty cool track for us this year. Wow, busy there. But yeah, pretty cool, fun top section. It's super, super soft, so lots of stuff to worry about and plenty of rock to make sure you don't mess up on as well. So that's kind of your top section there of loamy, rocky, root garden, tons of lines, and then it gets super open from about here on down. Cool new jump there. They put tons of work into this track, like really good job to the builders for, you know, putting the extra effort in, but pretty sure they're watering at night. And yeah, this section's really cool. Pretty flat out. Come on. Yeah. Anyways, that section's sick. Super flat out. Probably one of the fastest sections on the World Cup track we've had this year. And I think, wow, I think this is an old track that they've done some work to, to fix it up and get it back running for the race. But yeah, pretty cool little section there. Dip out onto the woods, around to the ski run end here. Then we're going to pop back in in a second right here. There's a pretty cool waterfall section right there, but yeah, it's really cool little section of track. Oh my God. Wow. I got no exit speed. I boss that section big time because that one's super crucial for these jumps down here. You need all the speed you can get just to clear this one here. I don't even think I'm going to do it. See if I can get a triple though. Just made it. Anyways, crazy jump section to the finish flat out. Not really my style for racing, but oh well. You got to do what you got to do. There you go.
