So now I'm standing in my balcony. And let me tell you that the summers are going to start very soon. Whenever the summers come here, you won't believe it. The sunset here is at 10 o'clock at night. Yes, you will say that it is so late. Normally, if we see in India, the sun sets from 7.30 to 6.30. And at least we can have our dinner at 8 p.m. So we get that feeling of having dinner. But here, the difference I got to see is that the sunset is at 10 or 10.30. And because of that, we don't get that feeling of having dinner. And you get to see the difference in the peak season of the summer. Like the four months are approximately from May to September. You will get to see this difference in those three to four months. So now I want to show you one thing. So let's go inside. The curtains in our houses are blackout curtains. In India, a lot of people have blackout curtains. But the main reason for having blackout curtains here is to get that feeling in the summers. It's dark now, it's time for dinner. We close all the curtains so that the sunlight does not come inside at all. And we can feel that it's time for dinner. Talking about the winter season. What happens in winters is that, In summers, it gets dark so late. But in winters, it gets dark as soon as possible. If you talk, then I will tell you that at least from 3.30 to 4 p.m. the sun will set. And it gets completely dark. The days are very short. We don't even know when it started and when it ended. So when we are working in offices, our shift is normally from 9 to 5.30. So when it starts getting dark at 3.30, we feel that it got dark so early. So that is the main difference when I came here. And when Saurabh and I came here, we saw a very big difference. The days are so long. And in winters, the days are so short. And in summers, the days are so long. So this is a major lifestyle difference that you will see if you shift here. So let's move to the next point. I will show you that. The biggest major point is cooking. Indians are very fond of cooking. Although I am staying in a hostel, I didn't do much cooking. But you have to cook a lot when you come here. So I will show you. See this is our gas. This works like a heating plate. It's like an induction. We get induction here. It is possible that you get the option of old 50-60 old houses. Like gas heating, which is available in India. But here you will get a stove like this in all the recent houses and new flats. It works on electricity. And its bill is also included in our electricity bill. So if you are very fond of cooking, you will also feel a slight difference in taste. Because obviously when you cook normally, like cooking in India on a gas stove. And cooking here, you will feel a little difference automatically. But gradually you will get used to it. So you will get to see a lifestyle difference. When you are moving to abroad. And if I talk about major cities. Where new flats are being built. There you start getting wooden floors. But in major cities, 70-80% cities still get marble tiles. So let me show you in our rooms. So see here, there is still carpet in every room. So when I started seeing houses here. So in most of the houses, even inside the lobby, you get carpet. So this is a major difference that you will get carpet here. So as soon as we get up under the bed. So first of all, our feet don't get cold. If you keep your feet on the carpet, it is very relaxing. They use it. So that 3 to 4 months. The major summer season. Where the temperature is 25 to 30 degrees. Using those portable fans. We do our survival. So guys Richa told you about fans. There are no fans here. But there are heaters in every house. So if I tell you. Our flat. Here in every area. There are digital thermostats. Because this is a new house. So there are digital thermostats here. If I turn it on now. The temperature here is 26 degrees. So as you can take the fan in India. 1 to 5. In the same way. We can take the temperature of our house to 35 degrees. And once. As it is shown in this. You can set more or less. Because it is written set. This thermostat is installed in every corner of our house. As you have seen. It is installed in our living room. Similarly, it is installed in our corridor. It is also installed in the rooms. The temperature of our corridor is 24 degrees. So again you can depend. As you can change the temperature in every room in India. So you can change the temperature in every corner of the house. And all this is managed. This is the heater. There is a heater in every house. In some old houses. There is a boiler. In new houses, there is a heater. This controls the temperature of the whole house. So guys. This is a modern flat. What is used here. If this is my wood. There is an underfloor heating. In every room. There is an underfloor heating. So in a modern house. There is a benefit. If I get up in the morning. Then I can stand on my floor comfortably. And if I stand here. You can also stand like this. Means it will not feel cold. Our floor is already hot. Whenever you walk. Your feet also feel hot. You can sit and stand. There is no tension. Even our carpet gets hot. The whole house is heated with an underfloor heating. This is a modern house. All digital thermostats are installed here. And if I go to old houses. There is a boiler. Which has to be controlled manually. Its thermostat was also installed on the walls. Which has to be controlled manually. And there is no underfloor heating in it. There is no underfloor heating. It is heated from the walls. Sometimes we used to dry clothes on it. So that it dries in the cold. The next major lifestyle difference is. Here you have 24 hours. For 12 months. Till 12 months. You get hot water. Which is not available in many cities in India. In many cities. You don't get water for 24 hours. But India is also improving. India is also improving. The best thing here is. When you come here. You will get cold hot water. And I have seen here. If hot water never comes by mistake. There is a major commotion here. People call emergency services. Why hot water didn't come. And people don't bathe. We also have such a culture. When we go to India. We feel that hot water is not coming. You see geysers in India. You have to boil them first. Then you have to bathe. But here. Within seconds. One side gets hot and the other side gets cold. Which is a very good lifestyle difference. Which is a very comfortable lifestyle difference. Comfortable right. And the second major thing here is. There is a tissue paper culture here. In India. You get a proper jet. But here you won't get that system. Here they didn't make a system. Here only. Tissue paper culture. So totally 24 hours. Go to European countries. Go to UK. Even in USA. You will see this major difference. But as an Indian. We had a lot of problems in the beginning. We have a small pump here. Like a jet. Portable. This is called a bidet. Which does the same work. It's like a jet only. We are still using it. And we will continue to use it. Because there is no system here. This is a major lifestyle difference. So guys. The next point is water. The water here is very hard. Don't call it hard. Look at this. There is so much lime scale in the water. You get stains everywhere. And for this. We have to use so many lime scale cleaners. It's not like the water is bad for drinking. The water is safe for drinking. There is a lot of calcium in it. But the side effect is. They are open till 10 or 9 o'clock. But the food shops here. They will be open. But the normal shopping shops. They are closed. The next major difference is. In India. We have street food. Where we have street food. Like simple chai. But here. You won't get that option. You have to go to Starbucks. Cafe, Nero. And get the tea or coffee option. The next difference is. People here. Never use the horn. It is considered a form of abuse. The reason is. People here. The rules are so strict that overtaking is not allowed. It has become their manner to not overtake. Because of this, if there is no wrong driving, they don't honk. And if someone is honking, it actually means that someone is driving very rashly.
